Chapter 1165: Drunken Pearl (4)
With the way that she reacted, I knew that she was interested in the thing that I pulled out. That was because this was also part of my knowledge from the game.
The things that sold best after gaining access to the sea witches' settlement were the things that came from the human world.
These were items that the sea witches couldn't obtain that easily since they were trapped under the water. However, the sea witches had to do many experiments to strengthen their magic and that required a lot of materials.
Especially materials from land and the human world like the one that I was currently holding.
That was why they had secret dealings with humans and that was why there was this password in the first place. This was one of the ways to gain access to the sea witches' settlement and the easiest way to make a connection with the sea witches, which was why I chose to use this method.
After a moment of silence, I said, "There's more where this came from, as long as you can keep up your end."
Puffer slowly turned from the herb that I was holding in my hand to look into my eyes.
She looked at me for a bit before saying, "Alright, I'll go and find the former crown prince for you, but..." After a pause, she added, "I need some time before I can find him. It's not as if he's that easy of a person to find in the first place since the one that he's married to is also one of the Five Great Witches of the Sea."
I was surprised to hear this since this was something that I didn't know.
From what I knew from the game, none of the Five Great Witches of the Sea were married or even had partners.
That was because in the game, they were all targets that could be wooed.
So there was no way that a target that could be wooed would have a partner.
Or at least not for the Five Great Witches of the Sea.
There wasn't even a mention of a previous partner for any of them...
"Which one is it?" I couldn't help asking Puffer.
Puffer was a bit confused at first, but then she said, "The Great Witch of the North, Sahi."
I couldn't help slightly knitting my brows when I heard this.
After all, this was a name that I had never heard before.
As far as I could remember, the Great Witch of the North should have been known as Zyra. Where did this Sahi come from?
As I was lost in thought, Puffer took this as a cue to stand up and leave.
But before leaving, she did add, "I'll be back soon. You can just stay in this bar for a bit, so I'll know where to find you."
Without even waiting for a response, she headed off.
It was just me and Ariel who were left in this room.
Seeing that I was still in a daze, Ariel took me by the arm and shook me to get my attention.
I didn't respond at first, but eventually I slowly turned to look at Ariel.
Seeing me turn to look at her, Ariel asked, "What's wrong? Why are you like this?"
After a moment of thought, I shook my head and said, "It's nothing, I'm fine."
Even if this wasn't something that I had expected, it wasn't as if I could do anything about it. After all this time spent in this world based on the H-game, I already realized that there were many different things that were different from the world that I knew.
In that case, there was nothing that I could do about this other than stop thinking about it.
Seeing that his expression changed, Ariel suddenly stopped herself from asking what she had been about to ask.
Instead, she asked, "Where is this place?"
I was surprised to hear this question, but I still answered.
"This is the Drunken Pearl, it's an outpost for the sea witches in the capital."
Ariel immediately revealed a surprised look when she heard this.
That surprised look soon became a strange look as she looked at me as if she didn't seem to understand the words that came out of my mouth. But there was no way for her to deny what I was saying since I looked back at her with a calm look.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Eventually, Ariel asked, "How do my parents not know about this place?"
A faint smile appeared on my lips before I said, "It's not that they don't know about this place, it's just that they don't do anything to this place."
Ariel was even more surprised when she heard this before she slowly knitted her brows.
After a while, she asked, "Why would they ignore this place?"
"Well, it's simply because this is a place where the Merman Empire and the sea witches can contact each other if there is a need for it. That's why they leave this place be since it has its uses." I slowly explained as I looked around the room.
Ariel didn't say anything for a while as the look on her face made it seem like she was thinking about something.
After a while, she finally asked, "But what about the Great Witch of the Sea that's here?"
The smile that had been on my face turned strange when I heard this.
Unlike before, I didn't answer right away.
The look on my face was as if I was trying to think about what to say.
Eventually, I said, "It's simply because they don't know what she's here."
Then as if I felt I should add something else, I said, "It's not as if she's here all the time, so that's why they don't know about her."
Ariel didn't seem like she was happy with this answer, but she eventually gave a nod to show that she understood.
The look on her face was as if she was a child that was learning that the world wasn't what it
seemed.
There was nothing that I could say in response to this.
