Chapter 503 A memory of the past
Matthew Dietrich is a name that has traveled the world for his great feats despite his young age. Of an intelligence far above anyone else's, with a towering birth talent and ridiculous strength, he has perfectly parked himself as the worthy Heir to the Legacy of the Great Dietrich.
Being so talented and belonging to the central lineage of the Vampires, he naturally attracted jealousy and anger among his peers. There was also fear among his rivals and enemies. None could deny that the strength he achieved was too terrifying.
Even more so when he achieved the impossible at the age of 20.
He mastered the 4 Universal Paths.
Not even the Gods had achieved such a thing in their times, and the children of those 'Gods' were too far away from such an absurd level.
That finally revealed a prophecy that existed somewhere in destiny that its scholars had managed to decipher.
The Arrival of the Heir of Origin would change the Ages.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
And that coincided with a leak of information from the vampire race that seemed to reveal that the Heir of Origin had already been born and was in the vampire race.
Fate scholars and readers of the future worked hard to find out who it was, but they were all already suspicious, so it was only a matter of time before the whole thing erupted into a cruel war that escalated immensely.
But the Great Dietrich and Matthew Dietrich, the youngest son of the Great Dietrich and the last to enter the 'Dietrich World', were too powerful. And they were already prepared.
Inside a foggy and partially darkened room, which had no lighting or windows at all, two men in dark masks were moving quickly, as they seemed to be working on something. Because of the strange fog that surrounded everything, you couldn't see them.
But the two people working there seemed unaffected by it.
After several minutes of working, one of them opened his mouth.
"Father."
"Tell me, my son."
"If destroying the sun is the only way, then the plans we are making could end up failing. The sun is indispensable for the world to continue to exist."
"That's right, my son. The world will be thrown into great chaos from now on. But don't worry, our world will be fine. All we are doing is to prepare for the coming of a New Age."
At his response, the younger one paused and looked at him.
"Is the coming of a New Age so dangerous?" He asked.
The other smiled. "The danger is in adaptation. Our race doesn't adapt well to change, so many things must change so that the New Age doesn't hit them without warning."
"I feel that is still risky."
The older man then stopped what he was doing and walked over to where his son was standing.
"You seem to have more on your mind." He spoke.
After a sigh, his son spoke.
"The sun keeps our world in orbit. If we destroy it, we will destroy our orbit; that is not something we can endure. And while I understand you have plans, I am not privy to them. I find too many problems to solve. While I trust you will not make mistakes, Father, this time, I must question you."
The older man sighed and removed his mask, turning around to leave the room, followed by his son.
This place was on a vast mountain, stretching the length and breadth of a large piece of land. It seemed to be an artificially created mountain, but the truth was that this place was naturally formed.
However, it only had this huge laboratory, which covered a large portion of the mountain, and it was the workplace of Matthew Dietrich and Great Dietrich.
Both of them were the ones there, and this time, they came out.
"My son, you must know that what you see is not all that exists. Our world is amazing. It is big and full of incredible nature that gallops from side to side, covering the whole world with its palm. The sun is a fundamental part of this nature because it enables many important functions and blends very well with the nature of the world."
"Destroying it would naturally attract problems. However, the problems beyond our vision are the most important. I have several plans to carry out such a crazy plan, but I am sure that crazy plan will succeed."
After saying this, he turned and looked at his son. "And you play a vital part in this plan. Without you, the plan will not succeed. That's why I've allowed you to work by my side all this time, and you know almost all of my plans." Your journey continues on empire
Matthew stared at him. "While I know almost all of them, I can't find many associated with allowing this world to continue to exist after the sun's destruction. Everything would freeze in a few hours if that were done."
"It's because those are the main plans. I've been preparing it for a long time, so when it comes, it will be time to use my power again."
"What is it?" Matthew frowned, and his father smiled.
"I'll take Immortality away from the Vampires."
Matthew was surprised to hear this, but his mind was working really fast. Within seconds, he was able to connect several things to that theme.
"You want to..."
"Yes, Immortality is an innate ability of all Vampires from birth. I never intended for them to be immortal when I created them, but I was born immortal, too, so I guess it was a natural inheritance they received. This immortality allows us to rise above the other races, but it is being misused. They have become arrogant, haughty, and indifferent to pain."
"That has good things in it, but many bad things. We are immortal, not invincible. Have you noticed the increase in deaths of our race? It's due to that. That's why I decided to remove it."
"I will remove immortality to destroy the ego of the vampire race. This is also right up my alley. The world craves immortality, and I have it. The world gave birth to our race, perhaps because it longed to be immortal. So I will allow it. I will exchange the immortality of the vampire race for its absolute protection. At the same time, immortality has many functions."
"An Immortal World needs no orbit; it needs no sun. It is self-sustaining." Suddenly, he stopped. He had talked enough, and his whole plan was going well.
"But... there is still a problem."
That problem was severe.
And Matthew immediately understood it.
"The immortality of the entire race is not enough for that plan of a self-sustaining World, " he said, and his father nodded.
"That's where Dietrich's Immortality comes in. It's not easy to take it away. And our immortality is the biggest currency in this equation."
Matthew nodded.
And his father looked at him again.
"That's where you come in."
"Do you think we can do it together? I still see a lot of problems with taking away immortality, but if we take away ours as well, we may never get it back, and we'll lose all the benefits that come with having it," Matthew said and continued.
"We can control various types of energy worldwide because of Immortality. If we take it away, mana could become almost impossible to employ; we would lose versatility."
The Great Dietrich smiled, "All those problems are small side problems. Remember what I told you a while ago. Our biggest problem in facing the New Age is adaptation. That change will be necessary. Whether we can succeed or not, only fate will tell." He replied and continued.
"I have a way to do it all by myself. It involves a lot of things, but I'm going to need you to do something.
"What is it?"
"Look at this whole mountain. The widest and highest natural mountain in the world. It occupies a large portion of the world, covering from east to west, dividing much of the world in half. This mountain will help us keep the world from freezing over. I want you to cast Frozen Infinity on this place."
Matthew stared at him in shock...
.
What do you think?
