Chapter 142: Chapter 142 - Broken's Mysterious Visitor

Broken stepped out of the training space, feeling a sense of momentum as he prepared for his next project. Freya had departed, having other tasks to attend to, leaving him alone with his thoughts.

Suddenly, he heard a voice call out his name, startling him. He turned around slowly, only to see Goldrich-a mage with short white hair-approaching him with brisk strides.

Goldrich increased his pace and embraced Broken tightly, surprising him further. Stepping back, Goldrich asked with an intense curiosity, "Broken... Tell me, what's your secret technique, huh?!"

Caught off guard by Goldrich's directness, Broken stammered, trying to make sense of the situation. "Secret technique?"

His mind raced, wondering if Goldrich was referring to Gaia, the Nature Goddess spirit. He was far from ready to reveal that detail.

"Is everyone all right after the battle days ago?" Broken deflected.

"No! That's not what I want to discuss. Khi khi khi," Goldrich chuckled in a low tone.

They stared at each other for what felt like an eternity before Goldrich finally spoke again.

"You see, I can come up with all kinds of reasons for your naked situation in Princess Alora's tent, but... up to this point, I can no longer contain my curiosity."

Goldrich leaned in closer to whisper into Broken's ear. "I'm curious about the secret technique..."

"What do you want?"

"You know how I'm the mage with the most spells in Yunatea among all the players?" Goldrich asked, arching his eyebrow.

Broken nodded, swallowing hard to suppress the nervous lump in his throat.

A smirk curled onto Goldrich's lips as he leaned back and clasped his hands together. "Then, out of all the skills I have, there is one spell that I really want, which you seem to have."

"What is that?" Broken asked hesitantly.

Goldrich was renowned for his passion for magic and was always searching for more spells to add to his arsenal. He would gather whatever he could get his hands on, from those with impressive offensive capabilities to spells that were not very helpful in battle. Furthermore, he was always eager to learn something new.

"The spell to make female NPCs instantly fall in love with you!" Goldrich declared with a mischievous grin.

"What?!" Broken exclaimed, utterly bewildered.

A chuckle escaped Goldrich's lips as he heartily clapped Broken on the shoulder. "You are such a sly one, always acting innocent while surrounded by so many beautiful women."

"Sorry?" Broken replied, still trying to piece together Goldrich's peculiar request.

"Well, there's a young woman with blonde hair and armor that indicates she is at least a level 200 Shielder. She looks so beautiful, sweet, and gentle but also powerful at the same time."

"Blonde-haired Shielder? A player?" Broken strained to recall any woman fitting that description.

"She has been rooted to one spot since sunrise just so she could be there when you arrived!"

"I don't remember seeing any player who matches that description," Broken said, scratching his head.

"No, no!" Goldrich dismissed the notion with another laugh. "She is an NPC! A Special one, too."

"Special NPC, a Shielder level 200 with blonde hair?" Broken repeated, trying to jog his memory, but nothing triggered his recall of that profile. "I don't get it... who is she?"

"You sure have a way with the ladies, Broken. You win over these women and then just forget about them so easily, khi khi khi," Goldrich commented slyly. "Even the male adventurers in this area can't seem to keep their eyes off of her."

Broken's confusion deepened, but he couldn't deny a stir of curiosity. Who was this mysterious NPC? And why was Goldrich so convinced that he had some special connection or influence over her?

In the world of Yunatea, NPCs fall into two distinct categories: Common NPCs and Special NPCs. Celestial Beings like Goddess Akidia or Princess Alora belonged to the latter group, playing significant roles in the main narrative of Yunatea.

On the other hand, Common NPCs led more humble, everyday lives, engaging in mundane tasks that kept the world functioning smoothly. While their roles might seem limited compared to the more noted Special NPCs, they were crucial for maintaining the fabric of Yunatea's civilization.

Fokil the Blacksmith was an example of a Common NPC. Despite his mysterious origins, he didn't have a direct impact on Yunatea's overarching plot. However, it was also possible for common NPCs to transition into special NPCs over time if they fulfilled a major purpose or became involved in significant events.

Identifying which NPCs were special was straightforward, thanks to the name tags hovering above their heads. Common NPCs had white name tags, while Special NPCs had purple ones.

"Broken," Goldrich gestured for him to move along. "Don't keep a woman waiting-she's been standing near the plaza for a while now."

"What's her name?"

Broken wanted to ask more about this mysterious NPC, but Goldrich gave him an impatient shove. "Go on, don't waste her time," he added with a knowing grin.

Reluctantly, Broken allowed himself to be pushed along, still puzzling over who this special NPC could be. He navigated through the bustling streets toward the plaza, his mind racing with possibilities. When he finally reached the plaza, he scanned the area, looking for the blonde-haired shielder that Goldrich had described.

As he made his way through the bustling crowd, he overheard several adventurers talking about the mysterious NPC woman they had all encountered.

"I never witnessed such a beautiful NPC woman! She looks like she could even outshine Princess Alora in beauty!" one adventurer exclaimed.

"Nonsense! She is super beautiful, sure, but Princess Alora is still more extraordinary than her. Princess Alora is my waifu. She's the only reason why I play this game. One day, I'll be a legendary player and marry Princess Alora, hahaha."

"You sure are dreaming too much, idiot!"

"This is a game, a fantasy world. Anything can happen, idiot!"

"But I'd love to know what would happen if they ever did clash! Princess Alora depends on her sword while this woman uses her shield!"

"My friend said that he asked her to take a photo with him, and she appeared eager. She sure is kind, although my friend was somewhat nervous. He cautioned me not to stand too close ton/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

the Special NPC woman."

"Why is that?" someone else asked, leaning in with curiosity.

"He said he couldn't be sure, but it seemed as though she was emitting an aura of strength. He also noticed that she was wearing level 200 equipment."

"But she's still just an NPC..."

"Idiot! There must be something about her that sets her apart if they call her a Special NPC,

don't you think?!"

Broken's curiosity grew even more intense as he approached the plaza. His heart pounded with anticipation, and then he saw her.

The woman must have noticed his approach as she joyfully raised her arm and waved, sprinting towards him with a delicate smile on her lips. Her bright blonde hair cascaded down her back, shimmering in the sunlight. Her silver armor, which covered a blue undergarment, gleamed brilliantly, catching the attention of everyone around.

She truly looked like a goddess, and Broken couldn't help but marvel at her beauty.

"Hi, Broken... I happened to visit this town, and it's nice to finally see you again," she said,

her gaze gentle and warm.

Broken's mind raced with questions, almost bursting with them as he stared at her in disbelief. He struggled to comprehend what stood before him.

"Are you the Ivana that I used to know?" he asked hesitantly.

Ivana was Gia's daughter, whom he had met at Fokil's Smithy. He remembered her as an Elite

Rank Chef who cooked delicious food while he was working on his equipment. How was she here, in such a desolate place, appearing as a Shielder class?

"Broken..." she replied softly, "Yes, it's Ivana. Don't tell me you've forgotten me already?" she said with a giggle.
