Chapter 128: Chapter 128 - The Agent of Change

Broken stood still amidst the chaos. The fierce winds howled around him while enormous vines whipped through the air with wild abandon, demolishing everything in their path. His eyes narrowed as he watched Polly's form gradually dissolve, her body struggling against the pulsing waves of energy.

He murmured softly, "Polly, return to your world."

He gazed as she vanished from his sight, dissipating like a wisp of smoke.

Broken realized that this phenomenon had led to the deaths of many members of the Ass Guild, but he couldn't deny that it was him that had triggered it. This catastrophe had unfolded due to a series of events with minuscule chances colliding, resulting in this monumental occurrence. He had obtained a soul stone, and the effect of Bountiful Harvest granted him a second soul stone, culminating in the manifestation of the creature now before him.

Goldrich, his astral form seated next to Charmelyn, remarked, "My curiosity got the better of me, so I had to use this ability to discover what happened."

Elincia, enveloped in a radiant cloud of blue electricity, darted across the battlefield with lightning-like speed, collecting every last drop item from her fallen comrades. She whirled around and shouted at Goldrich. "Old man, I'm counting on you now... keep me informed about what's going to happen next. I'll be waiting for you back in town." With that, she propelled herself away.

Melliandra's legs ached as she pushed them to their limits, leaping between transparent platforms. She was almost safe, but the hurricane's fierce winds hurled her back like she was nothing more than a feather.

"Damn, damn, damn!" she swore as she sprinted for her life. "I don't want to die, yet I'm half-dead curious about what will happen next!"

She could see Broken standing tall, undisturbed by the chaos surrounding them. He hadn't moved an inch since they had started fleeing.

With a newfound determination igniting within her, Melliandra sprang forward again, pushing herself even further away from the impending danger.

Goldrich let out a cackle as he surveyed the chaotic scene. "In the end, I ended up here with you, Charmelyn."

"If everything follows the usual rules, I'll earn a new title with enormous rewards just from witnessing an event like this," he chuckled.

He continued, "That young man must have done something extraordinary to awaken such a powerful creature... A level 400, no less! This should be quite entertaining."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"But..." Charmelyn's voice faltered into a hushed whisper. "It's a Mythic-grade level 400 creature could it spell disaster for us all? How can we defeat her? Even our guild members perished easily with just her appearance."

Goldrich clucked his tongue. "Let's just watch the show, then," he said. "These are exclusive front-row seats that can't be bought anywhere else. Khi-khi-khi!"

Whirlwinds swirled and whipped faster than the eye could see while dozens of enormous tentacle-like vines stretched toward the sky in every direction. The ancient forest, surrounded by an expansive clearing, was bathed in the silvery light of a full moon, casting its glow far and wide.

Amidst the chaos and danger, Broken stood firm. Yet, something else lay hidden beneath the darkness, now beginning to reveal itself.

A divine light emanated from the ground, illuminating the dark night sky. From this mystical glow, a figure began to take shape-vines and plants intertwined to create a magnificent woman of ethereal beauty. Her body seemed one with nature, moving gracefully through the darkness towards him.

As she drew nearer, Broken's eyes widened in awe at the sight of her radiant face. A small smile graced her lips as her gaze met his, a symbol of both challenge and welcome.

[Mythic - Queen Gaia - Goddess of Nature Lv. 400]

Broken stood amidst the chaos. He felt the overwhelming presence of a being far superior to himself, her otherworldly power almost tangible, filling the space with an aura of awe.

Her gentle yet mysterious gaze met him as she spoke. "Are you the one who has brought me to life?"

The reverberation of her voice washed over him like a soothing wave. His throat tightened as anxiety bubbled within him, but he finally found his voice.

"You are the embodiment of countless possibilities coming together," he replied. "And yes, it seems all of this happened mostly because of my set of blessings."

[Queen Gaia acknowledges the one who brought her to life. Her affinity with Broken increases by 20%. She will likely listen to what you have to say.]

Gaia moved closer, her emerald complexion almost glowing in the chaotic atmosphere. She was strikingly beautiful; her soft facial features appeared as if they were lifted from a portrait of a young woman in her early twenties. Her body was covered in a refreshing green hue, illuminated by a pale luminescence. Vibrant wild vines cascaded down like locks of hair interlaced with nature's greenery.

"You have been graced by the divine. You are the embodiment of a miracle walking in this world."

Extending her right arm, her supple and beautiful fingers touched Broken's cheek. "But you must remember that every creature born into the world carries with it a purpose."

"And what is your purpose?" he asked.

Goldrich furrowed his brow as he watched the interaction between Broken and the spirit. He could clearly see the ethereal figure conversing with Broken, but he couldn't hear their words.

"Can you hear their conversation, Charmelyn?" he asked.

Charmelyn shook her head slowly. "No, even their lip movements aren't clear from here."

"The spirit seems aware of our presence and is intentionally concealing their discussion. Khi

khi khi..."

"Do you think he is one of those Divine Champions?" she inquired.

"I'm not sure that's a question we can answer because only Broken has the right to reveal that," Goldrich replied thoughtfully. "But, I doubt he's the type to open up to those he doesn't know well. So, it would be wise to respect his decision on this matter."

Charmelyn nodded slowly. "I will try to keep my mouth shut about what I've seen," she said quietly. "As... I'm not sure he would be pleased to know we're still here. Should I leave now? I feel like I should have died with the others."

"Khi khi khi... that's your decision. Explain it to him yourself if you're unsure," Goldrich said

with a smirk.

"Explain it to him?" she repeated, her voice trailing off.

Queen Gaia closed her eyes as if to gather her thoughts, taking a deep breath before she began to speak. When she opened them, her gaze was filled with a profound intensity.

"My mission is to dismantle barriers and challenge the status quo. I am here to restore what should be and annihilate what shouldn't," she declared, her passion growing with each word.

"So, what you're saying is...?"

Gaia leaned forward, placing her fingertips against his cheeks. In a hushed whisper, she replied, "I have come to restore the natural balance of this world by eradicating all living beings that have recklessly disrupted it. Nature will be left to thrive and heal itself, free from

interference."

"So, you are the enemy of the world?"

Gaia shook her head slowly. "Quite the opposite-I am an agent of change, here to set things right," she stated firmly.
