Chapter 123 Bringing Winter To Forbes Park
Arlan stared at Sofia and smiled at her. He then looked around and asked. "I don't see your brother around. Where is he?"
Sofia snorted when he mentioned her brother. "Stop talking about him. You know about my brother's personality. If we brought him here, the secret that you are hiding would be revealed to the world."
Hearing this, Arlan chuckled. Considering her brother's personality, that guy would certainly do it. "It's good that you've thought far ahead. How is your father?"
"They already took him inside the chamber. Dr. Mariano and the others are checking on his vital signs. According to them, my father will awaken in five days." Sofia was very happy when she heard this from the doctors, but she also became curious about the machine that made this possible.
"Arlan, thank you so much for helping my husband. We already owe you a lot. We don't know how we could repay you." Sofia's mother broke down into tears. Her husband's health has been her primary concern in the past months. She thought that she would no longer see him wake up again.
"Auntie, Sofia is now one of my people. It's only right for me to help her." Arlan didn't know how to comfort someone so he didn't say much.
Sofia's mother cried silently after hearing his words. Sofia hugged her mother tightly and stroked her back.
Arlan sighed upon seeing this. "You guys can stay in the villa temporarily. I still have to check on a few things so I'll take my leave first." Arlan went to search for Winter in the workshop. He found her sitting on a table while typing something incomprehensible words on the computer.
As if noticing his presence, Winter stopped what she was doing and turned her head slightly. "I'm not yet done with the system update. I'll probably finish the last step by tomorrow. I'll send you a message once everything is completed."
Her eyes were filled with indifference. There wasn't even a trace of emotion. She was like a block of perennial ice.
Arlan admired her beauty silently. He nodded his head and said. "After you are done with the updates, leave this place and come to me."
Winter didn't respond immediately. She stared coldly into his eyes. "Okay." She replied before turning her gaze back to the computer. She then acted as if Arlan wasn't there and resumed her coding.
Arlan smiled bitterly. He regretted making her personality like this. He could only hope that he could make this ice beauty smile one day.
Arlan didn't linger for long. He turned around and walked away.
It was already late in the evening so he decided to sleep in the villa.

[Congratulations! You claimed x2 Body Enhancing Serum!]
Arlan smiled after seeing the reward. "I can dilute the two serums into several portions and help my parents improve their physique." He muttered to himself. Although his parents' health had improved in the last few days, they were still getting older. The Body Enhancing Serum would help their cells become younger and more resilient to viruses.
Arlan quickly washed up and changed into a new set of clothes. He then went downstairs and instructed the maids to add the diluted liquid of the Body Enhancing Serum into his parents' food.
"Eh? The food seems very nutritious today. I already feel full after only eating two spoons." Lydio exclaimed in surprise.
Anaflor nodded her head in agreement.
Meanwhile, Arlan pretended to be deaf. He just silently ate his food while looking at his parents. Their complexion had become much better now that they were eating nutritious food and vitamins. Her mother's skin was even starting to look fairer and younger. The wrinkles on her face also faded. As for his father, he looked a lot stronger now. His graying hair turned black as if he was back in his younger days.
After eating breakfast with his parents, he headed to the workshop.
He saw that Winter was still sitting in front of the computer. She didn't even bother to greet him. She only looked at him after she had completed her work. "The system has been updated, but I still have to install this to the virtual capsule." She muttered. She didn't look tired at all despite working non-stop since yesterday.
"Haven't you taught our workers how to do that? Just leave it to them. You should go back with me to Forbes Park to take some rest." Arlan was worried that she might malfunction one day from constantly overworking.
Winter shook her head at his words. "Your worries are unnecessary. I am an artificial human so I don't need much rest like the others." She responded calmly.
Arlan had no choice but to use his authority when he saw her attitude. "This is a command. Follow me back to Forbes Park."
Winter stared at him and eventually nodded her head. "Alright. Give me a few minutes to give the workers some instructions."
Arlan heaved a sigh of relief. He thought that he still had to use force just to bring her back with him. "Go ahead. I'll wait for you outside."
Winter grabbed the hard drive on the table and went to give instructions to the workers. She had been working with them for a month now and she had already proven her skills to them. Even the stubborn old folks in the group had now become her die-hard fans. After over thirty minutes, she walked out of the workshop with a leather suitcase in her hand.
Arlan didn't ask her what was inside. "Get in." He muttered as he opened the car door for her.
Winter gracefully entered the front seat.
"Once we return to the villa, you should get some rest. Tomorrow, I will make an announcement to everyone. There is something that you guys should hear." Arlan muttered in a serious tone. He was planning to tell them about the zombie virus. They might even give him some good suggestions after they learn about it.
