Chapter 142 - 142 - Second Wife
The sound of bird whistling accompanying the atmosphere in the morning was very typical of the countryside. A ray of morning sunshine has begun to race against time. Slowly the light has entered through the window gap.
Hae Sok has been awake since early morning. As she goes to the kitchen to see the waiter preparing breakfast, Hae Sok remembered that Soo Yin wanted to learn to cook more. She immediately rushed to the room occupied by Soo Yin.
Hae Sok went to Soo Yin's room with a broom in her hand. The door to the room did not have a lock so that anyone could enter freely. Hae Sok slowly slide the door open.
She was so shocked that her heart almost fell off when she saw her grandson hugging Soo Yin's small body. She was shocked to see two people who were not husband and wife sleeping in one bed.
"You insolent grandson!" Hae Sok shouted while hitting Dae Hyun's body with a broom.
Soo Yin and Dae Hyun were suddenly shocked by the presence of Hae Sok in their room.
"Ouch, Grandma!" Dae Hyun shrieked, whose body ached because Hae Sok hit his back quite hard.
"You bastard! How could you sleep in a girl's room," Hae Sok said without stopping her broom from beating Dae Hyun.
Soo Yin was now sitting to put some distance between herself and Dae Hyun. Just scratching her head looking at Hae Sok who looked very angry. Luckily Soo Yin was in the middle, not on the edge. So that she did not participate in being the grandmother's tantrum.
But Soo Yin also felt afraid if the old woman hated her like her father-in-law's attitude to her. Too many people have hated her in her lifetime.
"Grandma, enough! Please stop!" Dae Hyun asked, who had fallen to the floor while covering his head because his grandmother was really angry right now.
Hae Sok slowly stopped the action with a gasping breath. She held her chest to try to suppress the emotion.
"You two see Grandma outside!" Hae Sok said in a cold tone. She immediately left two people who made her blood rise again.
Soo Yin felt goosebumps when she heard that. Her body felt weak this time so that without realizing it, water was pouring out of the corner of her beautiful eyes.
"Honey, what's wrong with you?" Dae Hyun said when he saw his little wife was about to cry.
"Will grandma hate me too?" Soo Yin gave Dae Hyun a sad look. This was the first time she felt loved by a grandmother because her grandmother hated her so much. Her extended family always considered her as a trash.
Soo Yin covered her face with both hands. There wasn't much she wanted in her life, she just didn't want the people she knew to hate her.
Dae Hyun who got up from the floor then sat on the bed. He embraced Soo Yin's body in his arms.
"Calm down, I'm sure that Grandma won't hate you." There was guilt in Dae Hyun's heart. If only last night he didn't insist on sleeping in his wife's room, then Grandma wouldn't know about their relationship right now.
"Grandma will definitely hate me as much as your father," Soo Yin said between sobs. Her sobs were completely broken now with fear.
"I am sorry, dear." That was all Dae Hyun could say at this point.
"This is all your fault! If you didn't come here this would not have happened," Soo Yin said while hitting Dae Hyun's chest.
"I'm really sorry," Dae Hyun said regretfully. Last night he overslept so he didn't remember to go back to his room.
Dae Hyun was silent when Soo Yin kept punching him. He let Soo Yin vent her anger until she calmed down a little. Dae Hyun took his wife to meet her grandmother who was sitting in the living room.
The old woman looked away when Dae Hyun and Soo Yin arrived. She was very angry because the two people lied to her. Her heart ached to see her favorite grandson sleeping with a girl who was not his wife.
Hae Sok really wanted to contact Park Ji Hoon and his wife right now but she kept her thought off because she still needed an explanation from Dae Hyun.
"Grandma," Soo Yin said as she approached Hae Sok with teary eyes.
Hae Sok remained in the same position. Her sharp eyes implied that she was annoyed to hold back the emotions that had mounted.
"Grandma, I'm sorry," Dae Hyun said as he sat across from his grandmother.
"What is the relationship between you two?" Hae Sok asked in a cold tone.
"Grandma, I actually married Soo Yin a few months ago," Dae Hyun said calmly and dared to look at his grandmother.
"What are you saying? So you've been having an affair for a long time?" Hae Sok said sarcastically.
"We're not cheating, Grandma," Dae Hyun argued defensively.
"If not having an affair so what is it called?" Hae Sok said while glaring at Dae Hyun and Soo Yin in turn.
"She's my second wife, Grandma," Dae Hyun said, he boldly met Hae Sok's gaze.
"Soo Yin, why do you want to be his wife?" Hae Sok asked intimidatingly.
"I … i ...." Soo Yin's tongue felt heavy. She also didn't want to be his wife at first, but as time went on, now her feelings for Dae Hyun didn't even want to be separated.
"I forced her to marry me, Grandma," Dae Hyun said. He looked at his wife who was looking down.
"I didn't ask you!" Hae Sok said.
"It's really me who forced her, Grandma," Dae Hyun said. He didn't want his wife to be blamed because all of this was his fault.
"What do you mean?" Hae Sok asked in a higher tone.
"I am willing to help her family with one the condition that she would marry me," Dae Hyun said honestly, although it was not entirely his fault but he did not want to hurt his wife's feelings.
"Did your father teach you that you have to ask for something in return for helping someone?" Hae Sok shouted, a little trembling. Since childhood, she taught her children to help someone sincerely without asking for anything in return so that her heart was cut when Dae Hyun said the truth like that.
"That's because I love her, Grandma," Dae Hyun said calmly.
"Then what about that model?"
"Grandma also must have known if I married her was just a mistake that I even doubt if I did that." Dae Hyun took a deep breath.
Soo Yin shed tears from her eyelids. The trauma of her childhood made her afraid that she would lose the people she loved. In her life she only had her father, Jae-Hwa, and Jean before meeting Dae Hyun. So far, people have always neglected and looked down on her just because she was the daughter of a mistress.
"Grandma, I beg you not to hate Soo Yin because it's not her fault at all," Dae Hyun said, who could not bear to see his little wife cry. If time could repeat itself maybe he would think a thousand more times to marry Soo Yin.
Everything was too late because at this time he can't let Soo Yin go. He could not afford to be separated from his little wife. He was willing to give up everything he has right now to live with Soo Yin.
Hae Sok looked back at Soo Yin who was sobbing. There was a feeling raging in her heart.
"Grandma, I beg you not to hate me," Soo Yin said with tears streaming down her cheeks. She tried to grab a hand that was wrinkled with age and then grasped it tightly.
"Where is your parents?" Grandma asked while massaging her temples. There was pity to see Soo Yin really cry like that. Although disappointed, she also felt sorry for Soo Yin.
"My mother is gone. I lived with my father since I was little, but now my father has been to Jeju Island," Soo Yin said.
"If Dae Hyun leaves you what will you do?"
Soo Yin ventured to raise her head. She started wiping the tears that were still pooling on her lids.
"Grandma, I won't leave her," Dae Hyun said with a tone full of emphasis. He didn't like his grandmother to say things like that about him. Because until whenever he will never leave his little wife.
Grandma has nothing more to say about them. This morning her heart was really shocked by the two of them. She closed her eyes for a moment to accept all the shocking facts.
Suddenly there was a servant who entered the living room.
"Mrs, there are guests outside," one of the servants in the house said.
"Who?" Hae Sok asked.
"I don't know, Mrs. Just a young woman with her son," the servant said.
Soo Yin and Dae Hyun looked at each other. What was on their mind right now was Yeon Woo and his son who was visiting.
"Okay, soon we'll be out," Hae Sok said to the servant.
The servant nodded her head before finally going to the kitchen to make drinks for the guests.
"If you really love her you should first divorce Aeri. If it's like this what if our extended family finds out you have two wives. They will definitely remove you from the position of director," Hae Sok said.
"Yes, I understand, Grandma," Dae Hyun said with a deep sigh.
