Destroying My Own World

"I don't understand why we are going there again, and I don't think it would make any difference," Danny said as he looked outside the window and watched the plane about to land. "I don't like this at all," Danny mumbled to himself.

Luis agreed with Danny, but what bothered him was the fact Lucifer was surrounded by Anastasia, Eun Soo, and Gea pissed him off. He couldn't stand it and couldn't wait to leave the cabin as soon as possible because he was quite jealous of him.

"Are you alright, Anzel?" Danny asked and looked at Anzel on the other side. "I know that you're pissed, but please hold back because we are here to prevent them from going to war. You should know how heartless they are, so don't let the world experience what you experienced," Danny warned with a worried expression.

"I'll see what I can do," Anzel answered coldly as he clenched his fists.

Danny sighed and knew it would be impossible and he knew he regretted coming there. But since Sasha was there and more people were coming with them, they should be able to stop Anzel from going rampage.

The people that came along with them weren't Agares and the others, but the six Princes of Hell and Lilith. They only knew that the Princes of Hell were the new recruits from the Redshield Guild. They didn't know much about them and how strong they were since they only knew about them before they took the flight.

The moment the plane door opened, they were welcomed by Mykel and Elena. Those two alone were enough to put pressure on them, even Lucifer could feel the immense power within them.

"To think the man himself greeted us," Lucifer said as he walked down the plane. "It's an honor, Mykel Alester," Lucifer smiled and offered his hand for a handshake.

"I heard a lot about you, Eric Ulf. I can't wait to have a private talk with you," Mykel shook Lucifer's hand.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Lucifer could feel his hand burning and melting, but when he looked at his own hand, nothing happened. The feeling was real and the pain started to get worse and worse, but when he wanted to retract his hand, Mykel stopped him.

"I can't wait to hear what you have to say," Lucifer forced his smile and then Mykel removed his hand from his.

As soon as Lucifer took a step back from Mykel, Anzel ran past him, fast enough to startle him. Anzel was about to punch Mykel, but Elena punched him in the face instead. He was knocked down to the ground with his face no longer recognizable because she broke his skull and deformed it.

"Motherfu-" Danny mumbled and ran toward Anzel to drag him away from those two.

"That's the first warning. I'll give you two more, and the moment I gave my third warning, I'll kill all of you," Elena said as she looked down at Danny who was trying to grab Anzel.

Danny nodded with understanding as he dragged Anzel away, and he wondered why Anzel acted so rashly. Eun Soo immediately healed Anzel's face and it only took her a second to get his face back to normal.

"I have prepared a feast, so come and join us," Mykel said and then entered the car.

Sasha had been staring at Mykel, but Mykel hadn't even stolen a glance at her. She was a bit sad and glad at the same time because he pretended not to know her.

They entered the SUVs that had been provided by Mykel, and they were surprised when they saw the city. Central Park had been turned into a beautiful garden, a garden that looked like it came from a fantasy world. They couldn't stop admiring it because it was Lyneth's idea to turn them into a sanctuary.

Since the city had been abandoned, Lyneth wanted to turn it into a city of Gods like in Asgard. It was still halfway through, but it was already in a state where everyone wondered how it was made because it would need a lot of materials to make such amazing fantasy-like architecture. It was Lyneth, Amaryllis, Beldathiel, and Shelly's project to turn the city into their own home.

"The city wasn't like this before..." Anzel said and couldn't help to be amazed by the tall dome with artistic patterns on it.

"You know. If they're not our enemies, I think I would love to move here without hesitation," Danny said and looked at the beautiful pillars around the dome with statues carved on them. "I don't know how they do it, but it's beautiful," Danny added.

Everyone thought the same thing as Danny, but the sightseeing was over when they arrived at the guild headquarters. They hesitated to go in, but not Lucifer and Sasha since they followed Mykel without hesitation.

"I don't know about you guys, but I feel like I'm being watched all the way here from the airport," Gea pointed out as she looked around and up at the sky. "Anyway, I don't like it so I'll get inside," Gea said and hurriedly followed Lucifer.

Everyone entered the building except for Belphegor and the others since they felt it as well. They stared at the sky and couldn't see who it was or where it came from.

They entered the hall and Mykel was telling the truth about the feast. They couldn't believe it and had suspicions about where they got the food from and how they cooked it. They were scared to touch them because the food might be poisoned and powerful enough to kill them.

"Are you afraid if the food is poisoned?" Manna asked as she entered the hall.

Sasha and the others turned around and saw Mykel's whole team enter the hall. The more they looked at them, the more pressured they were because this time they were outnumbered.

"Even if Mykel wants you dead, he won't be using a cheap trick like poison. Trust me," Manna said as she walked backward so she could see their expression. "Just enjoy the feast. It's better to die with a full stomach than empty, right?" Manna smiled and teased them.

Although Manna was joking, they took her words seriously since they had no idea if she was joking or not.

"We meet again, Sasha," Jeanne said as she put her hand on Sasha's back gently. "Don't listen to her. She loves to joke around," Jeanne smiled gently at Sasha.

"Yes, long time no see," Sasha replied and looked Jeanne in the eye.

"You can have my word. Nobody is going to die today and I can promise you that," Jeanne said and looked at Anzel and the others. "Come. You guys can have a seat with me if that makes you feel a bit safe," Jeanne added and then walked to the table.

Sasha didn't decline the offer and sat with Jeanne, and the others also joined in. Anastasia wanted to join Lucifer, but the table was already full of his guild members. They then enjoyed the feast and the tension slowly disappeared because they realized nothing was suspicious about the food and it was the most delicious food they had ever eaten.

"I know that you're busy, but I never thought that you forgot about today," Jeanne said as she looked at someone walking toward the table.

Sasha turned around and looked at Brynhilde walking hurriedly to the table. She then looked at both Jeanne and Brynhilde sitting next to each other and realized how beautiful it was to see them together. In the story, Brynhilde died after telling Jeanne the truth, and it was devastating for her.

It felt surreal that almost all the characters who were supposed to be the protagonists of the story had been turned into villains. They couldn't get their heads around it and find the reason why they abandoned their righteousness and became so heartless.

Mykel suddenly walked out of the hall, and Sasha looked at the opportunity. She waited for a few minutes and pretended to be enjoying the feast.

"I need to go the bathroom," Sasha said as she wiped her mouth with a napkin.

Nobody suspected anything and she left the hall to find Mykel since he hadn't come back into the hall. She looked around, but she couldn't find him anywhere so she decided to go to the bathroom to wash her face. She felt so nervous when she imagined how to speak up to him if she saw him, but she brushed it off and left the bathroom.

When she walked back and had given up on looking for Mykel, she saw Mykel on his way back to the hall as well. She was frozen still, and her heart was pounding really fast and she didn't know what to do. When Mykel was about to enter the hall, he turned his head and stared right into her eyes.

"Hi," Sasha said as she hesitated to wave her hand.

Mykel removed his hand from the door handle and then approached Sasha.

"Is that all you have to say?" Mykel asked with a smile as he stood right in front of her.

"I..." Sasha paused as she tried to calm herself down. "I have so many things that I want to say," Sasha continued.

"Then let's have a talk," Mykel said and grabbed Sasha's hand, and brought her away from the hall.
