CH.542 New Super Gods
CH.542 New Super Gods
Today I decided to start a new research program. That of making new Divine-Beasts. And I’m not talking about just DNA Surgery and DNA Transplanting some random monster, but actually making a new Divine-Beast.
Specifically, I want to make two new ‘ultimate’ Divine-Beasts. I have Armityle, I should eventually get Holactie. But the Aesir monsters don’t have a combined super monster and neither do the Wicked Gods.
So why not make both myself. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, with one of those, a lot. A combined Wicked God could really suck. But I still want to do it.
My research began by just installing all of the Wicked Gods into a single card. The Wicked Avatar was my base and I first installed The Wicked Eraser into it.
The install worked and the two monsters combined into The Erased Avatar. It had an effect that combined the effects of The Wicked Avatar and The Wicked Eraser, where it would gain attack and defense equal to the combined attack and defense of all opposing monsters. It could also attack all opposing monsters, and as many times as it wanted, if there is a monster on the field that cannot be destroyed by battle.
Sadly, it had two downsides. It needed five tributes to be summoned, and it would kill itself at the end of the battle phase where it attacked. Good thing about that is that like The Wicked Eraser, The Erased Avatar destroys all cards on the field when it is destroyed.
I then attempted to add The Wicked Dreadroot into the mix, but as soon as I did, the card began to self-destruct. It simply couldn’t contain the power of three Divine-Beasts installed into each other.
My next idea was fusing the three cards together. I tried it first with a regular Poly, but that failed. Probably because I don’t have a fusion monster I can summon with those materials.
Then I tried to do the same, but I used Super Polymerization instead. If it can’t do anything, then this fusion idea won’t work at all.
While I activated Super Poly, I specified that I didn’t want it to fuse the three monsters held in the cards. I wanted it to fuse the cards themselves, to make me a card that can hold the power of a super Divine-Beast. Or should I call what I’m trying to make a Creator God? A God of Destruction? Or maybe a God of Wickedness, since it will be born from the Wicked Gods?
After my Super Polymerization, I was left with an incomplete card. The name read ‘The Wicked _________’. The picture was just blank, as was the effect box. The attack and defense just read out as ?/?.
Yeah. I think we are onto something here.
I then tried to install all The Wicked monsters into my new blank The Wicked card one by one, and this time, the card didn’t burn up. In the end, I was left with a new monster.
The Wicked Emptiness.
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 3 monsters whose original names are "The Wicked Eraser", "The Wicked Dreadroot", and "The Wicked Avatar". This card's Special Summon cannot be negated.
When this card is Summoned: banish all cards in your opponent's hand, field, deck, extra deck and graveyard face-down. The activation of this effect cannot be negated or responded to.
[Cannot be used in a Duel.]
… Yeah. Well, that’s a thing. Just banish EVERYTHING. With an effect that cannot be negated or responded to. Nice. And since everything is banished face down, their effects don’t even activate.
It isn’t quite the auto-win of Holactie, but pretty close.
Now, let’s see if I can make an Aesir super God.
For the Aesir super God, I decided to start off with what worked for The Wicked Gods, aka. I took a copy of each of the Aesir cards and fused them together with Super Poly. With that, I acquired myself a blank Aesir card.
I then installed the three Aesir monsters into it, and got my super God.
Frigg, Goddess of the Aesir
1 "Aesir" Tuner Synchro Monster + 2 "Aesir" non-Tuner Synchro Monsters
➀ For this cards Synchro Summon, you can treat "Loki, Lord of the Aesir" as a Level 4 Tuner monster, and treat "Thor, Lord of the Aesir" and "Odin, Father of the Aesir" as Level 4 monsters.
➁ When summoned: Summon 1 "Lofn Token", 1 "Hlín Token" and 1 "Gná Token" (Divine-Avatar-Type/Divine/Level 10/ATK 5000/DEF 5000).
➂ While you control this card, Tokens summoned by its effect are unaffected by your opponent's cards' effects.
➃ While you control a Token summoned by this card's effect, this card is unaffected by your opponent's cards' effects, cannot be destroyed by battle, cannot be targeted for an attack and cannot be tributed.
➄ When a Token summoned by this card's effect is destroyed, this card gains 5000 ATK and DEF.
[Cannot be used in a Duel.]
Lofn Token / Hlín Token / Gná Token
Level 10/Divine-Avatar/Token
5000/5000
Special Summoned by the effect of "Frigg, Goddess of the Aesir".
Cannot be destroyed by battle when you control "Frigg, Goddess of the Aesir". Unaffected by your opponent's cards’ effects while you control "Frigg, Goddess of the Aesir".
[Cannot be used in a Duel.]
… Yeah. So Frigg? I think I remember something about her from when I looked into Nordic mythology. She is Odin's wife, and she was the Goddess of Motherhood and Marriage, I think? I mean, the card already says Motherhood, so that is given.
Her effect on the other hand… Do I need to tell you why she is overpowered? Well, actually, is she? Compared to a regular card, yes. But since you need to use three Aesir Synchro monsters to summon her, I wouldn’t call her easy to summon.
And for all the effort you put into her, all you get is attack points. Sure they are card effect immune attack points, but still.
I mean, for my use, she is amazing. I effectively get three super powerful warriors to command. And if they happen to die, Frigg becomes even more powerful. But in the TCG, The Wicked Emptiness is better as he is basically a guaranteed auto-win.
But I do wonder something. Why are the tokens Divine-Avatar type? Are they Frigg’s avatars or something? I guess they might be.
That could also explain why the attack points are like that. Frigg gives up her power to give it to the tokens, so as the tokens are destroyed, she regains that power.
Yeah. I guess that makes sense.
But now, let’s jump into the Factory, so I can summon these Gods. I want to see what they can really do, especially The Wicked Emptiness. His effect doesn’t directly translate to real life, so he might do something crazy.
And after testing, it turned out that I was right. The Wicked Emptiness is crazy.
He can just drain away all of the HP, mana and stat points from anyone. Instantly. As in, they just die. Well, they die if he specifically drains their HP, but having all of your stats reduced to 0 can’t be fun. And having all of your mana drained away is a good way to pass out due to mana exhaustion.
But still, instant and complete drain of HP means instant death.
Frigg was much more reasonable. She and her Divine-Avatars are just crazy powerful. But at least she doesn’t insta-kill you without warning.
In terms of power, between the three super Gods I now have. Actually, if you include Exodia, it is four. So of the four, Exodia is the most powerful. Exodia can resist the effect of The Wicked Emptiness, don’t know how but he can, so he can deal with The Wicked God quite easily.
Frigg and her Divine-Avatars are a bit more of a problem for the golden giant, but he can deal with them as well. The same with Armityle.
The second strongest is Frigg. While she can’t match Exodia, her effect immunity is strong enough that Emptiness can’t drain her stats. And while Armityle can deal with her tokens, after they are dealt with and Frigg rises from her throne, she is powerful enough to deal with Armityle. Unless Armityle manages to surprise Frigg with his banishment effect, but usually Frigg has dealt with him before he manages to activate the effect.
Armityle and Emptiness on the other hand just stalemate. Emptiness cannot drain away Armityle’s HP, probably because Armityle cannot be destroyed by battle or something. But at the same time, with Emptiness draining all of Armityle’s mana, Armityle can’t really attack Emptiness. So neither of them can really kill the other, and they stalemate.
And in case you were wondering, Agunan lost to both of the new Gods. He couldn’t even defeat one of Frigg’s tokens, while Emptiness just drained away his HP.
Janina on the other hand could deal with Frigg’s tokens, but when Frigg stood up, Janina couldn’t match her power and lost. And Emptiness just drained her HP and mana, leaving her no chance.
So yeah. The Wicked Emptiness might not be the best when it comes to God on God combat, but when it comes to dealing with mortals, he is the greatest.
