Chapter 871: You Are Legion, I Am Aster
I strode forward confidently even as the Living Armour in front of me pulled back its spear to thrust forward once again.
The spear struck me in the chest with a loud clang but it only felt like someone was lightly pushing against me and it only slightly slowed me down for a moment before I took another step forward casually.
The spear was pulled back again and I walked forward another few steps before it came thrusting forward once more, this time aimed at my head.
They probably thought I wouldn't avoid it but all of us simply tilted our heads and let the spears pierce empty air instead.
Before they could pull back the spear, all of us dashed forward to get past their guard to strike at the first rank of Living Armours.
I slashed out my Light Sword while the others smashed their shields against their own opponents.
The second rank tried to skewer us with their spears but their attacks were completely ineffective against my Shadow Guards' shields and my armour.
I lopped off the tip of the spear with my Shadow Sword before the second Living Armour could pull it back before stabbing my Light Sword through its shield and into its chest.
While the blade was still embedded inside it, I poured my mana into the sword to expand the size of the blade before twisting my hand to completely cut the Living Armour into two halves.
The third Living Armour stepped forward with its spear primed for a thrust while hiding behind its shield.
Before it could even do that, I took a step forward and planted a kick on its shield, denting it and sending the monster flying back to crash into the fourth one, both of them tumbling onto the ground in a pile of limbs.
While they tried to free themselves, the last Living Armour on my row tried to stab its spear at me and I simply sidestepped it before slashing out my Light Sword in a right diagonal slash.
The Living Armour held its pose for a second before a cut appeared on its shield and on its shoulder down to its waist.
With a loud creak, the Living Armour toppled forward to crash onto the ground into two pieces, leaving the path open for me to finish off the last two enemies.
The third one managed to get on a knee while using its spear as leverage to try and push itself up, so I went ahead to kick it in the knee to send it falling back down again.
The last thing it saw was my Light Sword raised above its head before I stabbed it downwards into its helmet, splitting its head into two.
The final one chose to prop itself up with its shield while still on a knee to thrust at me with its spear, which was obviously futile since it already lost its strength buff after I killed four of its brethren and I still had the buff from my Shadow Guards.
I looked down at the spear that struck my chest with feigned interest before I sheathed my Light Sword and dematerialised my Shadow Sword.
With my hands freed, I grabbed onto the spear and snapped it in half before moving forward to grab the shield and yanking it out of the Living Armour's hand.
I then raised the shield above my head before smashing it down on top of the Living Armour's head.
The blow caused it to fall face first onto the ground and I flipped the shield in my grip so that the edge was pointed downwards and aimed it at the neck of the Living Armour.
The monster only just managed to place its palms against the ground before the shield came crashing down on its neck, cutting it off cleanly.
I heard a moan coming from Lisa behind me who was still on my back, "So hot~ Hnnngggg~"
Not now, Lisa…
I looked to the sides and found my Shadow Guards also finishing off the last of the Living Armour before they joined me by my side to face the boss who had been standing still all this while.
Right then, the Living Armour Legion seemed to stir again as it raised its shield up and slammed it down onto the ground again.
Light shone around the room and an even bigger number of Living Armour materialised from within the light, surrounding all of us.
What the heck? It could still summon even more?!
The Living Armour horde lifted their spears and shield before they started to march towards us, completing the encirclement blocking us from escaping.
"Umm… Aster?" Lisa whispered, concern in her voice. "Are we going to be fine?"
I didn't answer her and instead, focused my attention on the floor boss instead.
If the boss is defeated, the summons should also be defeated as well, right?
I commanded my Shadow Guards to slow the encirclement of Living Armour down while I leapt towards the Living Armour Legion with my fists clenched.
Surprisingly, it reacted to my attack and moved its shield in front of it to block my punch, my fist creating a shockwave that shook the ground when I smashed against the shield.
The boss then swung its shield outwards, flinging me away from it and sending me flying away.
I wanted to spread my wings but realised I couldn't since Lisa was behind me.
Instead, I used [Breeze] to create a strong gust of air that blew me back towards the boss again.
It moved its shield into my path again and this time I spun myself midair and let my tail swing out from behind me to smash against the shield.
There was an even louder crash and a bigger shockwave but the shield still held firm.
Before the boss could fling me away again, I used my tail as a spring to push myself upwards and flipped myself above the shield, right as the boss swung its arm to attempt another shield smash.
I grinned at the boss who most likely realised its mistake as it was now wide open.
With another cast of [Breeze], I shot towards it and smashed my knee into its face.
I honestly wasn't really expecting the blow to do much damage to it since there were a lot of its summons around to buff its stats but I just wanted to at least stun it first.
What I didn't expect was for the blow to actually send the boss skidding back a few steps and leaving a dent in its helmet.
Huh… Maybe the buff only applied to its summons?
But it managed to withstand my punch without moving though? Unless the shield had some special properties?
No, wait… I think I know now. It can only enhance one of its stats with its summons and right now it's enhancing its strength but the rest of its stats aren't buffed at all.
That means its endurance is still at two hundred and fifty instead.
I smirked and leapt forward before it could recover and grabbed both its wrists in my hands before I tightened my grip on them.
There was a loud metallic crunch as I crushed the wrists of the Living Armour Legion, forcing it to drop its spear and shield to the ground and shaking the ground with its impact.
With my hands still holding on to its wrists to use them as leverage, I pulled myself forward and smashed my knee against its head again, this time hitting it right in the centre of its helmet and caving it in.
Seeing that it still was not dead yet, I jumped up and flipped myself in the air before I landed on the shoulders of the boss with its head in between my thighs.
I crossed my legs behind its head and squeezed my legs together tightly.
The Legion boss tried to pull me off its head but it forgot that I had already crushed its wrists and thus it could not put any strength into its hands to even pull me away.
A metallic groan came from in between my legs right before my knees knocked together, crushing the head of the boss in between my thighs.
There was another groan as the boss wobbled unsteadily on its feet before starting to fall forward.
I leapt off its shoulder and did a backflip before landing on my feet right as the boss crashed onto the ground in front of me, throwing up a small dust cloud.
The rest of the Living Armour it had summoned also toppled onto the ground before they disappeared into particles of light, leaving no trace of them behind.
Before I could even think about trying to dissect the boss to look for its Mana Crystal, Lisa let out a cry from beside my ear.
"Aster!! Please!! Please do it to me too!! Please crush my head with your thighs!!! Pleeeeeaseeee!!!"
…
Have I ever said that Lisa is a pervert? Because Lisa is a pervert.
