As Lisa had requested, I stayed back after the class to receive her 'supplementary lessons'.

Yisra apologised profusely for landing me in trouble but I just told her not to worry about it.

I jokingly suggested that professor Lisa might actually be preparing to make me her class aide or something.

I raised an eyebrow at her, "Err… I just want to remind you that you are more proficient than me at alchemy, Lisa."

"Hmm? Oh! I'm not going to ask you to help me with this, don't worry~ Ehehehe~"

"Ok… So what do you need me for?"

"I need some testing done for the new potions I'm making, of course~"

I frowned, "Are you asking me to be your guinea pig?"

She turned around and tilted her head, "What's a guinea pig? If anyone's a pig… I don't mind being your breeding sow though?"

"Ugh… I meant your test subject…"

"Oh! Ehehehe~ I'll mostly be testing them out on myself actually~ I just need someone else around to help me in case anything goes wrong~"

"What are you even trying to ma-- Oh! The potion that is supposed to suppress your libido for a set amount of time but dials it up before that, right?"

"That's one of them, but that's not what I'm working on today actually. Since you know… You dropped an entire horde of precious dragon materials on us yesterday without warning…"

"In my defence, I didn't know you wanted any… And I don't know how valuable they are either…"

"Uh huh… So what did you have in mind with these materials?"

Lisa turned back to pick up one of the pieces of paper from the pile.

"One of the potions I have in mind is something known as Dragon's Fortune. It supposedly allows one to 'gain the fortune of a dragon'. Or at least, that's what the legends say."

I scrunched up my face, "What the hell is that even supposed to mean? What even is 'the fortune of a dragon'? Does Creas just magically appear in the air or something?"

Lisa shrugged, "I don't actually know. It's supposedly a long lost potion that has only been seen in history once and the person who drank it wasn't exactly that good at describing its effects."

I looked at her, "Wait… So it has been made before?"

"Not exactly… It was found in a Dungeon."

"And you know how to make it even though the only one in existence was found and not created?"

She giggled, "Well, I am a genius aren't I? Ehehe~ But seriously though, I have some guesses as to what ingredients are needed for the potion by some accounts of what it does. There have been various other alchemists who have tried replicating the potion before with limited results so I have those as reference."

"But… It's still a potion that was found in a dungeon right? Can you create something that is found in a Dungeon?"

"It is possible, yes. It has been done before."

"So what's stopping this one from being made?"

"Because one of the base materials for it are dragon parts, Aster. And most alchemists aren't strong enough to fight a dragon on their own and buying the parts would absolutely ruin them financially. And if they have the Creas to buy such luxuries, they would much rather spend it on other things."

I tilted my head, "So what are the known effects of the potion?"

Lisa picked up another one of the notes that was sprawled on top of the plates, flipping them until she found the piece of paper that she was looking for.

"Mmm… It seems like having great luck was one of them, but there were people who said that him getting the potion might already be a sign of him being naturally lucky in the first place. The person himself seems to have recorded that he could transform into a dragon temporarily but there's no other record of that happening anywhere else."

I scratched my cheek, "Hmm… That doesn't really help much… How do you even know what materials to use to begin with?"

She flipped the paper around and a formula was written there.

"There's another potion called Wyvern's Fortune which we know the recipe for. It also serves as the base for most of the trials and errors for recreating the Dragon's Fortune."

I took the page from her and read what was written on it.

The potion needed pretty much every single part of a wyvern including its eyes, its heart, its wing membranes, its scales, its talons, everything.

"And what's the effect of this potion?"

"There's a few effects actually. One of them is allowing you to control wyverns to a certain degree. Another is granting the user fire and air resistance, increased strength, increased agility and also increased defence."

"So wouldn't it make sense that the Dragon's Fortune would have the same effect?"

Lisa giggled at that, "That's not how potions work, Aster~ They might have similar sounding names but the effects could be completely different."

I tilted my head, "Ok… So it looks like for Wyvern's Fortune, you make use of all the parts of a wyvern to create it… Then hasn't anyone tried to make use of all the parts of a dragon to make Dragon's Fortune?"

She nodded, "You would think so and yes, there were various instances of alchemists using every single part of a dragon to try and recreate it, all of them have ended in failure and no one knows why. And because of how rare the parts are, they usually don't try again after failing once."

"Ok… So because I have a lot of the parts, you are going to attempt to create this potion through trial and error… So what am I here for?"

"Ehehehe~ So that I can share the historical moment where I create this potion with you, Aster!"
