"Elle, Lucas, watch out!"

Several people who saw the scene immediately shouted the names of Ellena and Lucas at the same time.

Simultaneously, hot lead escaped from the lip of the firearm to create a deafening sound of explosion, hitting the target.

A sharp dagger that was about to hit Ellena's back also managed to fly in a short time. The bearded man was lying on one hand which was already covered in blood, as a result of the gunshot.

Hearing the screams and explosions, Lucas immediately reversed his position back, without letting go of his embrace on his wife's body. Instantly his eyes widened at the sight of the bearded man who had slumped limply while whimpering in pain. He reflexively felt Ellena's back, trying to make sure she was okay.

"Elle, are you okay?" Lucas asked frantically as he continued to touch Ellena's back.

"I'm fine, Lucas." Ellena replied which managed to make Lucas stretch his arms.

"Don't make me worry like that!" snapped Lucas who was clearly very panicked at the screams and explosions. Really he thought that something had happened to Ellena.

To suppress his emotions and fear, Lucas hugged Ellena again very tightly. Lucas really didn't want to see Ellena hurt to save her life. It was something he would never forgive in his entire life, if that were to happen.

It was enough until yesterday that he felt he had lost Ellena, after this don't happen again Ellena left him. He will not be able to continue to live life without loved ones.

"I'm also happy if I can help others, Spir," replied the policeman not wanting to lose by spreading his smile. "I also thank you for helping us in ambushing these criminals.

"You're welcome, Sir. This is thanks to the help of my friends." Lucas replied, glancing at Adley and Richard who were standing next to each other. Behind them were Alex, Robert, and David. Meanwhile, Briana seemed to be standing four meters beside Adley.

Lucas immediately smiled, as he looked at his mother-in-law from a distance. Without waiting long, his steps immediately swung toward the middle-aged woman who was looking at him sadly.

"Are you all right, ma'am?" Lucas asked with slightly teary eyes.

Of course he was very sad to see Briana. It was too sinful for him to let the middle-aged woman get involved in his problems with his wife.

Lucas knew very well how his mother-in-law felt when she saw her daughter hurt. Yes, he must have been devastated and it seemed he had to apologize for what had hurt Ellena.

He then winked as if to code Ellena to come closer to him. Who would have thought that Ellena immediately understood the meaning of that blink of an eye.

Full of confidence, Ellena slowly swayed her steps, without ending the smile on her face. However, the smile immediately faded when her pair of brown irises found a figure standing beside Adley.

Ellena's steps came to a halt, just as she was about to pass Adley and Richard. Her gaze focused on Richard. She stared at the sad face for a moment. She knew very well how Richard was feeling right now. It was certain that Richard was hurt to see her back with Lucas. However, what could she do, to control the feeling of disappointment in the man's heart?

Ellena couldn't help but sigh, then smile. Hope this time Richard will understand how fate dictates that no one can prevent.

After that, Ellena stepped back towards her husband and mother who had been waiting for a long time.
