"So, can you explain it, Vero?" Albert looked back at Veronica.

His gaze was full of inquiry, even he seemed reluctant to take his eyes off his wife, even if only for a moment.

"Tell me, Vero! Why did you do that? You should know how to account for what you did to Ellena!" said Albert while Veronica was still speechless.

Only the sound of her breathing seemed to be a little rushed, as if holding back anger at what Lucas had said to her.

How could Lucas say such hurtful words to her? Even though what she had been doing all this time was for Lucas' good. However, what kind of reply did she get from Lucas? Instead, she only received insults from her own son.

"You too!" Veronica looked furiously at Albert, showing a disapproving expression. Only this time she dared to yell at her husband.

"You dare yell at me?" Albert rolled his eyes.

"You shouldn't blame me, Albert! You should have defended me, because whatever I did was for the good of our son. You should have known that!" Veronica said as she repeatedly pointed at her husband.

"Give me a reason why I have to defend you, you haven't even answered my question until now. Prove that you're innocent. Don't be silent!" Albert replied emphatically.

"I never thought that you could do something evil like this, Mommy. Even to your own son. It turns out that you are just as cold-blooded as a murderer."

"Stop! Stop it, Lucas! I'm not as bad as you think!" Veronica shouted again refuting Lucas' words. "I told you I did it out of your kindness!"

"Are you sure that the person in this photo is my wife?" Lucas asked, holding up the photos in the air.

"W-what do you mean? How could it be fake. It's obviously a photo of Ellena!"

"But it's actually fake, Mommy! Aaarrgh!" Again Lucas groaned in frustration when he found out that the photo was indeed a fabrication.

Yes, Lucas could clearly see that the photos were indeed fabricated. Even though he's not a telematics expert, he can tell the difference between a real photo and an edited photo.

Instantly the photos flew from Lucas' hands, scattered freely into the air and fell one by one to the floor.

How could Veronica just believe in these photos and have to sacrifice Ellena, a woman who means a lot to her son.

"Vero, why are you so careless?" asked Albert flatly.

"W-what do you mean, Albert?" Veronica was again dumbfounded. She still didn't understand what Lucas and Albert were saying that they believed the photos were fake, while she firmly believed that all the photos were real.

"Can't you tell the difference between a real photo and a fake one?" asked Albert flatly.

Without answering Albert's question, Veronica immediately grabbed a photo that had fallen not far from her. She studied the photo carefully. However, she still can't compare the real and fake photos. In her eyes the photo was the same as the other photos. There is not the slightest oddity.

"Albert, Lucas, what's wrong with me. I think this is a photo of Ellena. How could I be wrong?" asked Veronica putting on a surprised expression.

"No, Vero. You're wrong. This photo is indeed a fake, but for more details, it's better if we check it directly with an expert." Albert suggested.

"No! I will not forgive Selena if it turns out that the photo is proven to be fake!" Veronica said as she shook her head with a blank stare that was directed in any direction.

"I'm sure it's a fake." Lucas whispered with a very frustrated expression.

Lucas didn't know what to do. Disappointed. Of course he was very disappointed in his mother who was very careless. However, what power. Everything has happened and can not be prevented.

"Lucas, I'm sorry. I really didn't know that the photos were fake." Veronica hissed as she looked at her son full of regret.

"Why do you have to meet with Selena again. Do you still not believe that this woman is not a good woman?" Lucas said clearly blaming Veronica.

"Then what should I do to find Ellena and her mother? I don't even know their condition now!" Lucas shouted at Veronica.

"Lucas, you have to be patient. We'll find Ellena as soon as possible. Daddy's sure we'll find her," said Albert trying to calm him down.

"I'm disappointed in Mommy!" said Lucas again, grinning. He then picked up the photos again, intending to check the validity of the photos, although he felt sure that they were fabricated photos.

if anything happens to Ellena!" Lucas said firmly as he glared at Veronica's face for a moment before she left the place.

"Lucas, wait! Listen to Mommy first!" Veronica shouted. However, Lucas didn't care. He walked hastily out of the house, closing the door firmly in just one pull, creating a shrill sound that instantly went up in the air.

Veronica ran outside, trying to catch up to Lucas. Too bad Lucas got into the car first, however, sped the car as fast as lightning while his mind was racing.

"Lucas, Wait!" Veronica shouted in vain.

Meanwhile, Lucas seemed to focus on driving the car at high speed. His breath was still ragged, his gaze fixed on the street with his jaw still clenched as before, a sign that until this moment he still couldn't suppress his emotions.
