Du Guyun often flaunted his prowess at Cang Yun’s expense. If Jiang Chen killed Cang Yun now, it would disrupt the storyline, causing his strategy of deliberately underperforming to fail and thus losing a reward. Therefore, he decided not to kill Cang Yun.
Cang Yun was adaptable and knew when to yield. Upon realizing that he was no match for Jiang Chen, he refrained from further provocation.
