Were Monsters able to understand human language?

This has always been a question that has puzzled the minds of scientists and other people that investigated the phenomena of dungeons and also of monsters.

Certainly, it has been stated and even reported that groups of an intelligent monster such as Goblins, Ogres, Lizardmen, Trolls, Kobolds, seemed to have a tribal system of sorts, and could easily communicate with each other through their unique languages… meaning that they were indeed intelligent beings.

Based on this knowledge, there was once a faction of humans that desired to be able to communicate with monsters and to lead to some kind of peace in between them…

However, this never led to anything, and such organization was quickly disintegrated when they tried to socialize with a dungeon filled with Ogres, where they were brutally murdered and eaten.

No matter how much humanity tried to communicate with Monsters, Monsters seemed to have an inherent and instinctive desire to kill any human that invaded their dungeon.

No matter how much humanity tried to speak with a Monster, these creatures would never respond to humans kindly, and would often roar in a declaration of hostility, or laugh mockingly at their attempts…

However, Noah was able to understand their language, and the Goblin Champion also understood his words instinctively.

Noah had come out with the conclusion that this was because he was no longer a simple human, as he had the Blood Core of the SSS-Rank Boss Monster Blood Progenitor on his chest, fused to his body and soul, he was clearly not human anymore and even considered himself a monster.

Perhaps, this was the secret to be able to communicate with monsters… to become one yourself.

However, even then, there was absolutely no room for further conversations, the Goblin Champion clearly seemed like a battle junkie to Noah's eyes, and he only desired to fight someone strong to the death, no questions asked.

And because Noah was not interested in befriending a random Goblin, he happily received his hostility with a pleasant smile.

Boom!

The giant three-meters tall Goblin Champion rushed towards Noah and Iris with a strong charge, his feet clashing over the stone floor and generating cracks!

"Strong Fist!" he roared, as the Goblin Champion's fists were coated in a large amount of energy!

"It has a Skill too!" said Iris, as she jumped off the direction of the giant's fist, impacting the ground and generating a small tremor!

Boom!

Noah jumped off as well, as both he and Iris separated and rushed around the giant.

"Being so big only makes you an easier target, you realize that?" asked Noah teasingly, as he jumped with all of his strength put into his legs, reaching the Goblin Champions log-like arms and seeping his claws into the flesh!

Slash!

"Nnngrruoh?!"

Noah managed to slice off a piece of flesh cleanly from the Goblin Champion's arm, which he then devoured voraciously while drinking the blood in a few seconds!

The Goblin Champion directed his fist towards Noah with immense speed, as Noah evaded it in time, only for an enormous boulder to surge from the ground!

"What?"

BOOM!

"Gah!"

Noah was impacted by the giant boulder surging from the ground, sending him flying towards the ceiling itself, impacting it, and then falling like a ragdoll!

"It has an Earth-type Skill?" thought Noah while drinking from his stockpiled blood, and then baring his crimson claws again as more boulders surged from the ground, is all directed towards him!

"Do you like it, human?!" laughed the Goblin Champion, its body was exuding a strong amount of Mana, as he kept using this Skill as if it did not even cost much!

The Goblin Champion was not only a good physical fighter but also a mage!

This was something that was not registered in the monster encyclopedia that Noah studied, meaning that this was a special variant of the Goblin Champion!

Noah gnashed his teeth furiously, as his eyes gleamed with even more crimson light, falling into the ground as he used his crimson claws to destroy the boulders with loud and explosive slashing attacks!

"Gahahaha! There is more where that came from- Ungh!"

The Goblin Champion was about to release an enormous rock spear, however, Iris was there to stop him!

She infiltrated through the shadow of the Goblin Champion and then seeped her black nails into its ankles, seeping as much poison as she could do before the Goblin Champion's feet tried to splatter her like an ant!

"Get off, ant!" he roared, kicking Iris with enormous strength, throwing her off the sky, as Noah managed to get some time from Iris distracting the Goblin Champion!

"Nnngaaaahh…!" cried Iris, falling into the ground as she vomited blood.

Noah gnashed his teeth as he finally reached the Goblin Champion's shoulders!

"Hm?!"

The Goblin Champion noticed the sharp pain seeping into his strong muscles of his shoulders, as he found Noah there, slashing off his flesh, devouring and drinking his blood like a disgusting parasite!

"Get off me!" roared the Goblin Champion, using his giant fists and clashing against Noah's back!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

"Nngaaahh…! No way in hell!" roared Noah, his ribs were constantly breaking and regenerating through his Vampiric healing capabilities, while constantly feasting in the flesh and blood of such a strong monster, Noah was tearing apart more and more of the flesh, accumulating blood!

"Get off!" roared the Goblin Champion, managing to grasp Noah and throwing him off the air!

Clash!

Noah fell into the walls like a small ragdoll in comparison to the giant Goblin Champion, as the monstrous humanoid charged directly at him!

Flash!

"I will not let you!" roared Iris, her entire body covered in a dark blue phantasmagoric aura, as more fox tails emerged from her body!

Like a flashing blue light, Iris appeared right before the Goblin Champion, using the wound left by Noah on its shoulder to seep her poison into it with her black nails!

"Unngrryaaaa!" cried the Goblin Champion, punching and then kicking away Iris like an annoying fly!

Clash!

"Aggh…!"

Iris hit the wall, barely managing to not pass out due to the sharp pain, most of her bones were broken, and although they immediately began to regenerate, this was getting too tiring for her mind.

The Goblin Champion began to conjure enormous boulders, as he sent them towards Noah!

"Let me kill this one and then I kill you too, no need to rush it!" he laughed, as the gigantic boulder fell over Noah who struggled to get up!

Too fast for him to escape in time, the boulder fell over his entire body, the gigantic weight was so heavy that his entire body was splattered into pieces!

BOOM!

"N-Noah…?! NOAH!!!" cried Iris, his eyes crying blood as she was barely trying to move towards his flesh pieces…

Noah… died!

Iris felt like the world was turning over… the one she believed was so strong… died!

Was this… useless from the beginning?!

Her entire mind began to fragment, the death of her lord would be way too heavy for her mind!

…However, something was off.

For some reason…

She still felt his connection with her!

But why?

The Goblin Champion smiled wickedly, walking towards Iris with a sick smile.

"Gehehe… I have run out of Mana… but I will make sure to regenerate it by eating your little limbs, one by one…" laughed the Goblin Champion, moving his giant hand towards the paralyzed Iris!

However, Iris immediately noticed something… within the Goblin's Champion shadow!

"Hm?!"

The Goblin Champion immediately noticed the strange presence, twisting his body towards it, only to be greeted by Noah who rushed towards his chest!

"W-What?! You're still alive!?" roared the Goblin Champion, trying you use his fists to catch Noah, but due to his tiredness by having used his Mana, he could not manage!

"Did you liked my little clone? Well, it cannot move independently so I thought it would be very useless to even make one… But it really became useful to fake my death!" laughed Noah, he had faked his death by creating a Blood Mass through Blood Manipulation and shaping it as himself, shrouded in the darkness of the cave, it was hard for the Goblin Champion to even realize its true identity!

And because Noah did this when the Goblin Champion was busy dealing with Iris, he was able to somehow pull it off!

Noah reached the Goblin's Champion's chest, and seeped his Crimson Claws into its flesh as blood gushed out like a fountain!

"Blood Blades!"

Noah manipulated the very blood from the insides of the Goblin Champion that he was touching, as they began to crystalize inside of the Goblin Champion's body, tearing apart his flesh as he groaned in pain!

"Y-YOU…! YOU…! Human…!"

"Blood Gathering!" said Noah, gathering an enormous amount of blood at his side in the form of a Blood Sphere, as the blades inside of the Goblin Champion penetrated his chest, reaching to his neck and then… his head!

"UNNGRRRYAAAAAAA…!"

Boom!

The entire head of the Goblin Champion exploded into pieces, as Noah closed his eyes, bathing into his blood!

Such a glorious scene was seen by Iris, who thought of Noah as someone that came back from death!

Her admiration and devotion grew larger and larger for him… Almost like an obsession!

Poof!

The Goblin Champion's corpse exploded into black smoke, leaving a few Cores behind…
