Transferred to Another World and Became a Teacher

Chapter 100 - Home Visit, Shenley's Father

"Confirmation has been obtained. Please come this way," the knight said after returning.

"Is that so? Then I will proceed by carriage. I apologize, but I would appreciate your guidance," I replied.

The knight nodded slightly and suddenly furrowed his brow at the sight of the carriage. "Of course, but this carriage has no horse…"

While speaking, his expression changed drastically.

I nodded silently in response and used flight magic. "This carriage does not need a horse."

I took a seat in the driver's seat of the carriage, and the knight lowered his chin with a stern expression.

"… Understood. I apologize, but I will assign a guard to ensure the surroundings remain calm. Please bear with us."

"I understand. Thank you in advance."

The knight quickly sprang into action. He called out to the soldiers, and about thirty of them formed a line around the carriage. The other soldiers hurried back to the town.

I thought the same when I saw the knights of the Holy City. Their movements were different from those of the ruffians.

Even upon arriving in the town, they gave instructions efficiently and moved through the streets without much waiting.

"Wow, it's floating!"

"Who’s inside?"

"Has a court magician from the Holy City come?"

Noisy voices echoed throughout the town while the surrounding soldiers were careful to keep the commotion down.

The town was cleaner than I had expected. Although it seemed there weren’t many residents for its size, it didn’t appear obviously poor.

More than that, I was concerned about Shenley, who hadn’t shown her face from the carriage despite it being a long time since she had returned home.

"We have arrived."

While I was thinking about such things, we reached our destination. In front of the carriage stood a particularly large mansion. In front of it was a courtyard surrounded by a fence.

As the soldiers opened the double steel gates, I noticed someone standing in front of the mansion.

It was an elderly butler dressed in an outfit resembling a black suit.

"… Welcome to the household of Viscount Rosentiel," the butler said in a calm voice and bowed deeply.

Hearing his voice, Shenley poked her head out from the carriage. “Lewis.”

When Shenley whispered this, the butler called Lewis slightly relaxed his cheeks, softening his expression. “Welcome back, Lady Shenley.”

Welcomed by Lewis, Shenley replied with a slight smile, “… I’m home.”

It seemed that Lewis was an easy person for Shenley to talk to. Watching their interaction brought me a sense of relief. Then Lewis turned his gaze back to me.

“… Nice to meet you. I am Aoi Konominato, a teacher at Fiddiq Academy,” I greeted and bowed my head.

Lewis followed suit with another bow. “Thank you for your polite introduction. Now, please follow me. I will show you around. I would like the knight commander to accompany us as well.”

“Understood.” The bearded knight nodded in response to Lewis’s words. It seemed that the bearded knight was the commander of the knights. Perhaps for monitoring and deterrence, he stood right closely behind me.

Lewis confirmed this and entered the mansion, with Shenley and me following behind and the knight commander bringing up the rear. It seemed the other soldiers were to wait at the gate.

Upon entering the mansion, I found a very clean and spacious entrance, with hallways leading to the left, right, and deeper inside. The windows were slightly small, making the interior a bit dim.

As we walked down an inner hallway, we came across a staircase and quickly ascended it. The mansion was quite spacious inside.

After walking for a while, we arrived in front of a room at the back of the second floor. Compared to the other doors, it was more sturdily built, indicating it led to an important room.

Lewis knocked lightly on the door and called out. It opened from the inside. Two knights in polished armor opened the door and gestured for us to enter.

“Excuse me. I have brought the guests,” Lewis announced as he took a step inside and stepped to the side of the door to make way.

Then a wide room came into view. In the foreground was a pair of large sofas with a low table in between. At the back was a simple desk with a large-backed chair. A middle-aged man was sitting in the chair.

He was a stocky man with brown hair parted in the middle and a well-groomed beard, giving him a somewhat stern appearance.

The man looked at us and narrowed his eyes. “I am Aldo Quaker Rosentiel. You are a teacher from Fiddiq Academy?”n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

“Yes. My name is Aoi Konominato. Nice to meet you,” I greeted with a slight bow.

Aldo glanced at Shenley before returning his gaze to me. “I apologize for asking you to come all this way, but Shenley plans to voluntarily withdraw from the academy. Have you heard about it?”

“Yes, I’ve heard. I have come to ask her to change the decision.” I honestly expressed my thoughts in response to Aldo's words.

Aldo crossed his arms and tilted his head. “I have received reports. Although Shenley transferred to Fiddiq Academy, her magical abilities haven’t improved much since leaving Maple Leaf. Therefore, it would be pointless for her to continue striving as a magician.”

Shenley flinched, her shoulders twitching as she looked down.

Aldo, showing no concern for his daughter’s reaction, stared at us expressionlessly.

His attitude irked me.

“… You must have received reports about Shenley's condition in the Holy City. However, that perception is incorrect. She is exceptionally talented and has advanced to the senior section of Fiddiq Academy a year early. This is quite impressive, even within what is considered the world’s best academy,” I passionately explained Shenley's excellence.

Yet Aldo looked at Shenley with cold eyes, then turned his gaze toward me. “It’s troubling to be forced to change your perspective. We have received reports based on thorough investigations. No matter how you judge it, the decision of whether to allow Shenley to attend the magic academy is mine to make. In other words, she will voluntarily withdraw.”

As Aldo spoke, Shenley's face turned pale. I sensed something off about Aldo's obstinate attitude in trying to force Shenley to leave the Magic Academy.

“… Shenley is still only fourteen. Why must she withdraw from the Magic Academy so soon?”

When I asked for a reason, Aldo sighed deeply and glared at me. “I will also ask, do I have to answer such a probing question?”

He firmly expressed his refusal.

This put me in a difficult position. Indeed, if the issue wasn’t about magical talent but family matters, it might be inappropriate for me as a teacher to delve too deeply.

I looked at Shenley. She was on the verge of tears.

“… But Shenley doesn’t want to leave the Magic Academy. At the very least, could you please tell us the reason?”

“You’re being bothersome. There is no necessity or reason to discuss that.”
