If Kain didn't know that they'd penalize him for taking advantage of the perks of being an official member of the team leading up to the national competition, he would seriously consider stockpiling all kinds of resources and materials from the school.

Unfortunately, there was always an evolutionary planner that was a member of the faculty to oversee any of the requests Kain and the other students made.

However, Kain was still more than happy with the current level of perks provided.

He went to one of the life-attribute rooms located on the campus and released Queen into the center of the room along with all of the guards.

Thankfully, the evolution and breakthrough of the guards are completely determined by Queen, otherwise Kain would have to provide several times more of the required materials.

Handing Queen a vial of catalyst twice the average size to consume while placing a blue-grade spiritual orb, the royal jelly and the crystal next to her. Kain also left an additional dual wind and life attribute material from a yellow-grade spiritual creature.

The next evolution definitely favored the life attribute since that was the attribute of the royal jelly that was the basis of the evolutionary form, but Kain wasn't willing to completely abandon the wind attribute that contributed to the guards' strength.

Kain then left to give her some space.

As he stood in a corner of a room, he saw Queen sit in the middle of her guards, wings anxiously buzzing.

Over 10 minutes passed with no movements from her, but he didn't rush her. The mental condition of a spiritual creature during the evolution can have a slight effect on the success rate. Not to mention, that Kain didn't even have to pay for his usage of the room.

"Take as much time as you need." Kain comforted.

After another 5 minutes passed, the frequency with which her wings buzzed, and her antennae rubbed together, drastically reduced. Finally, the catalyst was consumed and a bright white glow began to emit from her. .net

Kain stared at her anxiously until it was eventually to bright for him to continue staring directly, shielding his eyes he then shifted his gaze slightly to the side while he waited for the results of the evolution.

The light continued for well over 20 minutes, however considering that so many creatures were technically having to evolve at the same time, Kain wasn't discouraged by the long wait time. In fact, the longer the light lasted the more Kain was relieved, if it was going to fail it should have already done so by now.

After another half an hour, the light that originally only covered Queen's form increased rapidly and enveloped the Vespirae standing in a circle around it.

Finally, after the light lasted for over a full hour, which might just break some kind of record for evolution time, the light began to fade.

Due to being at the edges of the source of the light, the Vespirae guards were the first to be exposed. Although, he supposed he should now call them Verdant Vespid Sentinels

B-Guard's Heart: Immune to any fear-inducing mental attacks, and heightened resistance to mental attacks with other effects due to their single-minded focus on their queen.
