Chapter 436: 436: Conflict
Chapter 436: Conflict
(Chapter Seven)
Luo Ziling knew it wasn’t him who had bumped into the person behind; rather, the person behind had deliberately bumped into him.
The force that had pushed him off balance to the point where he could only prevent a fall by lifting Chen Xiaoyi in his arms was telling of how strong the person behind him was. Luo Ziling suddenly moved forward, embracing Chen Xiaoyi. She was taken aback for a moment, but didn’t avoid it, instead, taking the opportunity to wrap her arms around Luo Ziling and dance with him. Fang Qianqian and Chen Xiaoxiao followed, screaming with excitement, as if they hadn’t noticed someone bumping into Luo Ziling at all.
In their minds, it was normal for bodies to collide while dancing in a nightclub; men bumping into men or women was an everyday occurrence.
Such collisions sometimes led to disputes, or even to fights, but it was also possible they could lead to a romantic evening. After a man apologized to a woman, and if their eyes met in a certain way, they might go off to do those things unbeknownst to others.
To attract women, some men would deliberately bump into the women they were interested in. If the woman took an interest in the man, she wouldn’t make a fuss over it. But if she wasn’t interested, she would glare angrily at him.
While dancing, the three women had been bumped into by quite a few men, but their responses had been either to glare or to curse loudly, or sometimes to kick out directly.
Luo Ziling didn’t see it that way; he was aware someone had deliberately bumped him. Having been the target of sneak attacks from time to time, he was highly vigilant, and quickly broke free from Chen Xiaoyi’s grasp, turning his head to search for the person who had bumped him.
But when he turned around, he didn’t see anyone looking for trouble, just a crowd of men and women writhing chaotically.
Fang Qianqian squeezed up close and embraced Luo Ziling from behind, shouting something loudly, but because of the noise, he couldn’t hear clearly what she was shouting. Luo Ziling only felt a fullness pressing against his back and quickly struggled free.
However, as he broke free, he accidentally stepped on the foot of someone nearby and quickly apologized.
To his surprise, the person he stepped on didn’t seem to mind much and continued dancing.
At that moment, several burly young men, dressed a bit flamboyantly, moved in, swaying their bodies with Chen Xiaoyi, Fang Qianqian, and Chen Xiaoxiao, making all kinds of provocative moves.
The three women didn’t seem to care much either and kept dancing, still surrounding Luo Ziling, with Fang Qianqian and Chen Xiaoxiao occasionally deliberately pressing their bodies against his.
The audacity of these two women was stimulating to Luo Ziling, perhaps due to the atmosphere around him.
But the unexpected quickly happened. Fang Qianqian, who was in the midst of twisting to the music, suddenly turned around and slapped the man who had squeezed up to dance with her, loudly cursing at the same time. Luo Ziling faintly heard the words, “Dare to take advantage of me…”.
Fang Qianqian’s slap surprised Luo Ziling, and the other two women were also a bit shocked.
Chen Xiaoyi and Chen Xiaoxiao immediately stopped dancing and moved closer to Fang Qianqian.
Her slap had confused the man who had touched her buttocks while dancing.
But the man quickly became angry and cursed loudly before rushing up to confront Fang Qianqian.
The other men who had come over and squeezed next to the three women to dance seemed to be with this man. Seeing their companion getting hit, they crowded around in an unfriendly manner, looking like they were ready to start a fight.
Luo Ziling couldn’t help but frown; however, the music was too loud, and the shouting was drowned out by it.
Fang Qianqian seemed to be provoked and, caught off guard, kicked the man next to her. The group of men finally exploded in anger; one of them reached out to slap Fang Qianqian while the others were ready to start pulling and grabbing at Chen Xiaoyi and Chen Xiaoxiao.
Chen Xiaoyi shouted something to Luo Ziling, but he couldn’t make out what she was saying. Nevertheless, he could see Fang Qianqian was in danger, so he immediately stepped in to rescue her, pulling Fang Qianqian back and then delivering a solid kick, sending the man who intended to slap her flying backward.
Fortunately, there were people right behind the man, or he would have definitely been thrown even further. Although the man did not fly off, he knocked down several others.
Two of them were his companions, and several others were dancers.
Fights were commonplace on the bar’s dance floor; other patrons quickly moved aside, making room for them. The music continued as those who were watching the excitement kept dancing and turning their bodies, curiously watching the few people in the middle of the floor.
Luo Ziling’s intervention had completely enraged those men, and a total of six of them crowded around, preparing to gang up on him.
Seeing this, Chen Xiaoyi pulled Chen Xiaoxiao over and shouted something loudly into her ear. Chen Xiaoxiao then escaped the circle and disappeared into the dancing crowd.
Luo Ziling, fearing the group of men would turn on the two women next to him, took the initiative by delivering two swift spinning kicks before the assailants could react, knocking two of the men down.
And taking advantage of the others’ shock and delayed response, he delivered one kick per person, toppling all of them.
But to avoid trouble, he didn’t use much force, so none of the men were injured.
They were caught off-guard by Luo Ziling’s rapid moves and were all floored in an instant.
However, they recovered quickly, scrambled up from the ground, and swarmed towards Luo Ziling.
Seeing this, Chen Xiaoyi and Fang Qianqian couldn’t help but scream out, worried Luo Ziling would be at a disadvantage; they wanted to come forward to help. Of course, the outcome left them dumbfounded. The six men who rushed at Luo Ziling were knocked down in a single encounter and could not get up.
The music was still going on, the dancers hadn’t stopped, and everyone didn’t consider the scuffle to be a big deal.
However, at this point, the bar’s security rushed into action, a group of security guards armed with batons charged forward. It seemed these guards knew the men Luo Ziling had knocked down; after checking on the condition of those men, they immediately surrounded Luo Ziling and the two women.
“Just beat them to a pulp, it’s fine,” Chen Xiaoyi shouted into Luo Ziling’s ear.
As she shouted, Luo Ziling could clearly feel the moisture at his earlobe; this woman was almost biting his ear as she yelled.
Luo Ziling clearly heard what Chen Xiaoyi said, so he held back less. When the security guards charged at him, ready to use their batons, he struck first and, after a flurry of punches and kicks, had quickly knocked down the approaching guards.
At that moment, the music finally stopped, the dancing crowd scattered to get out of the way, and the lights in the middle of the floor brightened.
“How dare you mess with our place, beat him harshly, beat him half to death and throw him out,” Luo Ziling heard a vicious voice coming from behind the security guards, followed by even more guards wielding batons charging at them.
