Chapter 48 - Dixie’s Reward
Although Emilia hadn't expected such a request from her ever-loyal 'knight', she didn't find herself averse to the idea. Instead, she gave Dixie a mischievous smirk as she sashayed her way over to the now bumbling mess of a girl.
"You want me to kiss you, Dixie?"
As she realized just what she had blurted out, the dark-haired girl's face bloomed with a furious blush as she desperately tried to salvage the situation.
"I-I mean, my mom asked me to bring a picture of you kissing me in exchange of that restaurant thing, that's all. Just like you did with Koko! It doesn't have to be—"
Dixie's mouth abruptly snapped shut as Emilia lowered herself onto her lap and gently wrapped her arms around the dark-haired girl's neck. As her princess leaned in close to whisper in her ear, her gentle breath tickled the side of her face like tiny little bird feathers, sending butterflies fluttering in her belly.
"Do you have a camera?"
Lost in the soft embrace and gentle whisper, it took almost a minute for the question to register in Dixie's mind.
"I-I… I… don't. I don't have one…."
A wave of disappointment and regret rushed through her. 'Ahhh… such a good opportunity, and I messed it up!'
Although her mother's demand had always been on the back of her mind, she hadn't thought that tonight was the right time to put it forward, thus forgoing the camera. Even her phone was left in the limo!
Contrary to her expectations, however, Emilia just smiled. "Would a video from my phone work?"
"Yes! Yes, please!"
She expected Emilia to just take a selfie with a kiss on her cheek, but her princess seemed to have other plans.
Emilia pulled her up from the chair and pushed her onto the bed, straddling the girl shortly after. Even as Dixie's heart was thumped wildly, she deeply regretted her choice of clothing tonight.
'Who told that moron stylist to pick this boyish look for me, aaah! If I'd also been wearing a short dress instead of this stupid jeans….'
Dixie gulped as she imagined how little her princess had to protect herself.
If she had also been wearing a short dress or skirt, with this position and that short dress her princess was wearing… wouldn't she have reached nirvana?!
Emilia fiddled with her phone for only a few moments before setting it up against a cushion so that the rear camera was facing their direction. Once done, she leaned forward slowly with her hands on either side of the dark-haired girl's face until her entire upper body was firmly pressed against Dixie's, their lips almost touching.
Dixie instinctually tried to hold Emilia, and her brain seemed to freeze as one of her palms pressed firmly against the girl's thin waist while the other clutched the girl's bare thigh. And to make matters worse, there was a ridiculously soft, squishy sensation coming from her chest that scattered all her thoughts the moment she tried to form them.
Even if Dixie was an idiot, she still realized that there was no way she was getting just a kiss on the cheeks at this point. Her furiously thumping heart seemed to be pumping liters upon liters of blood through her brain every second as she tried her best to contain her excitement, not wanting to scare her princess off.
And after what felt like an eternity, the soft, velvety lips that had been barely brushing against hers finally pressed down firmly. Dixie didn't know what kind of guttural, uncultured moan she had let out, but Emilia didn't seem to have heard it.
The dark-haired girl didn't know if someone had really set off some fireworks nearby, or if it was all in her mind. At this moment, she wanted nothing more than to completely let go of her restraint, and flip her princess over to press her down and plunder all that she could.
But she didn't dare to do it. She didn't even dare to part her lips even when she felt Emilia press against herself several times, as if asking for something.
Emilia almost whimpered as she felt her knight deny her a deeper kiss. How come everyone always dared to do this to her?!
'Forget about Maeve, that treacherous bitch, but even Cynthia, and now even Dixie! I'll forgive her for now since this is a reward, but the next one to deny me better be ready!'
Dixie didn't know how long she indulged herself in this heaven. Unknowingly, her trembling hand had slowly started climbing up Emilia's bare thigh.
"AHH! Emilia! Where are you letting her touch?! That's a no go, no go! The reward was only a kiss, right? She's taking more than she's due!"
'It's okay, Cynthia, let her have what she likes. I like her, anyway, so I don't mind. Unless there's something else bothering you?'
Cynthia could only quiet down reluctantly. What exactly was bothering her? She had no idea. She wasn't unfamiliar with this kind of mortal mating ritual. She just didn't see the need to participate in such lowly things herself, as an immortal being without the need to reproduce and have offspring.
'I probably shouldn't hold Emilia to my own standards, she used to be a mortal, after all. Maybe such disgusting things please her.'
As for why she felt it was disgusting, even Cynthia didn't know. Since she found it repulsive, she simply decided to isolate herself until Emilia called her.
Emilia's eyes had gone foggy as she continued to kiss Dixie. Sucking each of her lips separately, pressing them together, teasingly running her little tongue over them, she did whatever came to her mind. Unlike her first kiss with Cynthia, at least her knight didn't seem to hate it.
This was the most intimate she had ever been to someone, and despite being denied before, Emilia could feel an intense thrill running through her body, driving away any other distracting thoughts.
Eventually, Dixie's palm brushed against the cold ornament wrapped around Emilia's thigh, and the girl was awakened with a jolt as she realized how far up she had gone. A few more inches, and she would have…
When Emilia felt her knight's hand retreat as if struck by lightning, she ended their kiss with a light sigh, knowing it was another 'rejection'. Although she leaned back to allow Dixie to regain her senses, Emilia was still straddling the girl, her gaze dark with a sense of oppression that Dixie had never seen before.
It was as if something within her had awakened. Like an ancient beast that had been suppressed for too long had finally broken free of its shackles.
"Did you hate it?"
"No! NO! I loved it!"
Dixie's eyes widened as she realized how her words could be misinterpreted, and she rushed to correct herself.
"B-But, Emilia, don't get me wrong, I like boys!"
She didn't know if it was her illusion, but Emilia's gaze seemed to turn darker.
