The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 29: 29:Exposed

"Who?"

Evan asked, confused by Maria's blatant curses.

[I am talking about your shitty parents, you dickhead.]

"What?"

Evan sprang up from his chair with a panicked expression because it meant only one thing.

He fucked up….

He literally fucked up…

Those bastards…who knows how those two will react and what will they do?

"SHIT!"

He expected them to appear, but it was too early.

All the plans in his mind were just plans as he hadn't started to take any solid steps.

"Fuck! It's my fault that I didn't move ahead.."

With Uncle Max blocking his search, he expected them to take some alas...

Quickly putting up a T-shirt, he opened the door and ran as if his life was on the line.

....

As Evan approached his teabox coffee shop, he noticed a commotion near the entrance.

Usually, people lined up outside or sat on tables enjoying the sunshine, but today a huge crowd surrounded that place.

Pushing his way through the crowd, he squeezed through them and a terrific vision greeted him.

A knot of unease tightened in his stomach at the sight of his adoptive parents, Henna and Migol, engaged in a heated argument with the staff.

His heart sank as he recognized the voice of the two.

The one who took the lead from Evan's side was none other than Maria who seemed to be held back by Sam.

"Bitch, stop shouting here like that and stop creating a scene for fuck sake."

"What did you call me girl?"Henna's voice echoed from the other side.

"I called you what you are.Do you have any problem? Don't act as a Saint. I know you abused Evan and best. This is child abuse, you fucking bitch."

When it came to vulgar eloquence, it was hard for someone to match Maria who's expertise lay in tearing you apart in words.

Henna's expression became pale and knowing things were getting worse, she tried to divert the attention.

"Shut up and don't try to divert the topic. This business wouldn't even exist without our support! How can Evan run a huge business without any money" Henna's voice echoed through the cafe, her eyes blazing with fury.

"So, what are you implying?"Maria asked, gnashing her teeth.

"I am simply saying that Evan might have been stealing from us and he used it to open this shop so you and everyone here owe us money."

"What do you mean we owe you money?"Maria refuted Henna's claims.

"We've been supporting him for years!" Henna's voice was sharp with indignation as her face flushed with anger.

Migol, usually calm and composed, was visibly agitated by this woman.

In fact, he was shocked to see a woman matching his wife's temper.

Migol decided to step forward.

"The money invested in this comes from us and now you're telling us that you all don't owe me and my wife anything."

"Boss, thank goodness you're here," one of the staff members shouted.

Evan took in the scene with a mix of frustration and sadness. He had worked hard to build Teabox into a thriving business, but he never imagined it would come to this.

Maria stopped bickering and sidestepped. She did what she needed and now the rest depends on Evan.

"Mom, Dad, what's going on?" Evan asked, trying to keep his tone calm despite the rising tension.

He tried to hide his inner disgust.

He knew it wasn't time...

His parents were worse than insects. If he gives them money to leave him, they would agree but suck up to him later until they sucks him dry.

Previously, he didn't know their true nature but now that he knew that these two kidnapped him during his birth and left him at the orphanage only to pick him up later, he needs to be cautious as falling people can do everything.

And with Suri's case pending, if he files a case or blackmails these guys might use media or everything at their disposal to trash him.

He knew they weren't simple and his insight also proved that.

Evan's eyes dilated and his lips opened wide in horror witnessing the skill sets.

It was unbelievable as this was the first time he had seen so many skill sets at once. And it was even surprising coming from these two guys whom he had always considered as good-for-nothing fellows.

He always thought they were useless with sick personalities so what the heck was this?

Are you telling me that even with such skills, they were leeching him off and abusing him when they might have worked in some big companies in the past...

Moreover, despite all he did for them, his so-called mother's impression of him was negative…

This was too much…

Just what kind of sin did he commit to deserve this?

He wasn't an emotional person, but on things that he heavily invested in and people that he thought he was close to, he could not help but tear up.

In the beginning, he always thought it was because he was just useless, dumbass, and trash. Maybe that's why his parents hated him.

Maybe it would have been different if he had been with them since he was born.

And somewhere in their hearts they still loved him. After all, if they didn't love him they wouldn't have searched for him and found him at the orphanage, right?

Though that hope was shattered after he knew the truth from the system, still he never expected that these fucking people won't have a shroud of love for him...

People even develop feelings for cubs they raise for years but...
