The Supreme Level Up System

Chapter 209 Trapped

Some people say that games are a waste of time or that they are things for children. Aion never said anything to people who claimed that, but if he could tell one thing to them in person, he would say that they were morons.

Someone once said that games are fun, but they don't take a person anywhere, but Aion couldn't disagree more, and he would prove that to that kind of people because using the knowledge he obtained while playing a game, he would stop those four ships without using half of his mana. Perhaps not even one-third... he sure was confident this time and quite eager to do that.

"Wait here," Aion declared before changing his class to Slayer and then using Furtivity.

While semi-invisible, Aion approached the enemy's ships. Even from a distance, he could see that some pirates had jumped to check things underwater, and some of them were even fighting the monsters since they were too close to the dungeon. Since they were busy, Aion approached one of the ships from below, and then when he confirmed that one was looking at him. He created an ice saw and then made it spin insanely fast while it was breaking apart the keel.

The keel is the bottom-most longitudinal structural element on a vessel. On some sailboats, it may have a hydrodynamic and counterbalancing purpose, as well. As the laying down of the keel is the initial step in the construction of a ship… since it is the core of the ship, like the spine of a human body, if there was no keel, there was no ship…

The first ship began to fall apart, and when the pirates noticed, Aion was already working on the second. The stupid pirates approached to help their allies without understanding what was going on and that made things easy for Aion.

Still, when the Captains of the other two ships noticed that the second was falling apart, they decided to leave their friends behind and run away. So much for their comradeship…

Aion was chasing one of them, but the other was going to escape… without any other choice, Aion changed his class to Necromancer to increase his magic power and then froze the back of the nearest ship before firing a powerful Earth spear that broke that part of the ship and destroyed its mobility.

Since he didn't have to deal with pirates sinking, he decided to let the monsters and Sauros and Seris deal with them as he began to emit a powerful burst of wind through the sole of his feet. Swimming with armor was close to suicide, so there was nothing blocking Aion's way.

Although he never did that, Aion still managed to pull it off skillfully, and then he caught up with the enemy ship. While swimming below it, Aion summoned another ice saw and destroyed the keel as well.

"I guess I need to capture them… ice can float, so I will use that," Aion thought.

The pirates began to jump into the ocean in order not to sink and that helped Aion quite a bit. He froze their lower halves and made them unable to move. For those who had weapons and tried to resist, Aion froze them up to their necks. They probably won't survive for long, but that wasn't his problem.

Once Aion did that, he connected them all and created a bigger iceberg. Still, when he was thinking of bringing them back to the others, Aion felt a shiver.

Aion changed his class and turned around to raise the protector's shield. However, his back still was hit, and he felt like a hammer almost smashed his spine. After spinning for a while, he stopped and raised his shield, and then he blocked several other blasts.

In the distance, Aion saw a pirate using a smaller version of Seris' crossbow… he kept firing it and prevented Aion from approaching. Still, things changed when he changed his class again and then froze the water in front of him.

While swimming toward the enemy, Aion used the shield to protect himself. Eventually, the enemy ran out of fuel and tried to swim away. However, Aion broke his legs after firing the shield. The pain made the target lose all of the air in his lungs, and he began to sink… letting him die like that was an option, but Aion wanted to make sure that such a guy would tell him what he wanted. For better or worse, he had the balls to attack Aion, after all.

"Those two don't have tools to capture the enemies, so I have to do this… it will be better if we get rid of all of the pirates before things get out of hand," Aion thought.

When Aion returned to where Seris and Sauros were, he found them swimming around quite fast while using their crossbows to deal with the pirates. Fighting underwater sure was time-consuming, and their ammo was being spent insanely fast, but that didn't make them hesitate.

"Hmm… I guess we won't have to… me and my big mouth," Aion thought when he saw some monsters around approaching.

Although he wanted to help the others, Aion had to make sure that the group wouldn't be surrounded by monsters and pirates. So far, Sauros and Seris were doing fine, so he decided to leave them alone for the time being and kill the monsters.

Aion let the creatures get as close as possible and then finished them off with wind bullets that easily pierced through their thick shell. Thanks to that, Aion saved mana, bringing the bodies to his side to be absorbed. Still, after doing that for a while, the monsters kept coming from the dungeon… their numbers were high than he had expected and seen.

"More of them were inside… this might become troublesome…" Aion thought.
