Aion saw the enemies approaching the dungeon around noon of the next day. It seemed like the enemies had a least five thousand on their side. Meanwhile, Aion had one hundred guards and two hundred adventurers. Since he was standing above an earth tower that he created, only he could see that they were outnumbered sixteen to one, but those below could tell that the odds weren't in their favor in the first place.

"Assume your fighting positions and don't move no matter what," Aion said.

It didn't take long for the enemies to see Aion and the others. Still, they also found a frozen field filled with ice pillars. It was noon, so the heat was pretty intense, and yet, there was no sign of those melting. The enemies knew that Aion could use the magic of the royal family of the Milleris kingdom, but it was the first time they had seen him using it. Despite that, they were the type who wouldn't run away from a challenge, so they kept moving forward.

Still, they weren't that stupid. Those who were armed with shields moved forward and raised them. Aion couldn't find any signs of their leaders, and since he couldn't imagine those guys being disciplined, he wondered why they responded to that so fast.

"Maybe the spies don't know much about the forces on those guys… perhaps they have well-trained armies, even though they aren't used that often," Aion thought.

The invaders split their forces to attack five territories at the same time. All tactical knowledge made people think that such action was only an act of insanity or play stupidity. It would have been a lot easier and more convenient to attack a single place during the wedding and then create a fortress to invade the other regions. The mines would be the perfect place for that since the mountains around could be considered natural defenses. Still, Aion could tell that they had something in mind by attacking like that…

Aion kind of knew that most soldiers of the Rosberg kingdom were big, but he couldn't help but frown when he realized that all of them were at least two meters tall. Maybe all of them had some kind of connection with people that had obtained mutated powers in one way or the other.

The first enemies approached the first few ice pillars with their guards raised to the limits, but nothing happened even when they passed close by. Their formation was broken since those were pretty close from each other, but only that.

The enemies were smart enough not to try to attack them and activate any traps but not enough to send only a few of them to check the safety of the path ahead.

"I guess they are in a hurry…" Aion thought. "The other group must be attacking the port as well, and they must have realized my plans and decided to attack both places at the same time."

That was a bit troublesome, but it was within Aion's expectations. Regardless, when all of the enemy's army had entered the field of ice pillars, Aion pointed his index fingers at them. After finishing aiming, Aion fired numerous ice bullets.

The enemies noticed that Aion had attacked and prepared to receive the attacks, but Aion didn't aim at them, he aimed at the pillars. Ice shards began to fall around, and a powerful wave of cold spread around the field. At first, they endured that, but eventually, the cold got so powerful that some of the soldiers began to tremble. They began to move to keep their bodies warm, but then grunted in pain… The ice shards that fell on the ground were hardened with the cold and created a massive field of frozen and small spikes on the ground.

Those who didn't have iron boots and stepped forward damaged their feet. Still, those who were wearing iron boots began to feel their legs freezing, and in a few seconds, Frostbites began to damage them as well. Only that much wouldn't kill them, but it was a nuisance that Aion liked. They would have to suffer a bit before achieving anything and that would cause some mental damage.

In any case, Aion gave the sign for the adventurers to attack freely with bows and then a rain of arrows began to land on the enemies. Some raised their shields and blocked the attacks, but the vast majority that was being bothered by their wounded feet was unable to respond. Aside from a few that got in the heads or on the vitals, all of them kept standing…

Before things could get out of hand, the enemies in the front began to smash their shields agaisnt the ground, and those behind them raised their shields to block the arrows. Thanks to their power, they destroyed the frozen parts and began to advance quite fast. Still, the adventurers aimed directly at the enemies in front of them and began to kill a lot more than before. However, they didn't stop…

When the enemies were only fifty meters away from the group, the adventurers stepped backward while the guards stepped forward with their shields and spears ready to be raised. The first line of enemies approaching consisted of at least five hundred of them. They would decimate the guards with their numbers and bigger strength. It would be even easier since some guards were trembling like leaves…

Aion looked at the enemies, and he confirmed that they only sent a single wave. They were finally being cautious about him… it was only natural since Aion was nearby and didn't do anything.

"I wanted to take down more of them on the same strike, but I can't even be as incompetent as them …" Aion thought.

Aion created a single ice disc and then made it spin, and then fired at the enemies… they tried to raise their shields and block the attack, but just like them, they were split in half almost instantly.
