The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 45 - Not Letting You Go!

Chapter 45 - Not Letting You Go!

Javier immediately left her alone in a daze but unknown to her, it was very much necessary. He can't talk to her at this point until he tells her the real thing, his heart has been yearning to just spill the beans out!

He straightaway went to his bedroom and locked it from behind. Standing against the door, his heart was beating at a very high rate. He doesn't know what got into him, the intense feeling to go near Jennifer that instant and touch her hair... God... how much his feelings are mixed up before him!

'Seriously Javier? She isn't even comfortable with you and you were on the verge of overstepping the boundary.' though he can know that Jennifer never objected to his any action and let him do whatever he was doing.

But that doesn't mean she was alright with whatever he did.

There were many sentiments in her eyes, to know what was exactly to her... She must be confused by his actions, his smooth-talking, and his sweet talks with her. How shall he explain what he feels for her? How does he know about her? Till how is he going to lie on her face?

'Wait..Javier... otherwise you will end up exposing yourself to her and will lose her forever.' He can't take the same risk which he earlier felt when he heard the news of Lucas and Jennifer's marriage through his sources.

Calming his nerves a little bit, he made his way to his bed. He sat there and took some deep breaths to control himself, trying to convince himself that everything was alright and this won't make much difference to her.

But his hand unconsciously shifted to his side drawer. He opened it in one swift and took out photo frames, in which two different pictures were framed.

One was a lady, in her early thirties while another was a girl, who was there in a ponytail and held books in her hand with a loose bag hanging on her shoulders.

They both were utterly beautiful in their own way. While one lady's pose was elegant, the girl looked innocent and decent in those large spectacles she wore. These both the ladies are the most important part of his life.

Never in his entire life, he tried to get close to any other person, except these two who hold utmost importance in his life. He can't even imagine anything without them but unfortunately, one of them was already far away from him.

One was already snatched by him due to the circumstances but he won't let the other person walk away from him at any cost.

A bitter smell curved on his face when he recollected some of the happy moments of his life, spent with the older lady, and promised, 'I..I.. will not let her go away unlike you..'

...

Two more days have already passed since the accident happened on the island. No one appeared anymore and Jennifer's health also showed improvement which was a great sign for them to see. Moreover, Javier saw how much Jennifer was now getting comfortable in his presence.

They used to converse with each other, With more brightness and things were changing, slowly and steadily.

Also, they both are loving the new changes, the foreign feelings that are growing with time but letting things go with Flow are what Jennifer is following for now.

It was already morning and Javier, as usual, was in pursuit of making breakfast for both of them. Jenifer was sitting on the counter and eating some apples which he just now sliced for her.

"Javier, have you heard about the phase that an apple a day, keeps the doctor away?' she asked while taking a piece of apple slice in her mouth.

Javier, who was stirring the egg in the bowl, nodded his head, "Yes. Isn't that a very common saying that people use to make children eat apples?"

"Exactly! You know, when I was in my university, I ate an apple and the next day I was in the infirmary. My roommates made fun of me, saying that I always eat apples, yet I ended up in contact with the doctor!" she made a point while remaining all those past memories where they made fun of her.

Javier smiled at the realization, "So you understood that this was not true when you were in university? Doesn't that mean that you gained your IQ quite late, Ms. Taylor? I used to think that you have a smart brain but it seems, I was wrong."

"Hey, you!!" Jennifer called aggressively, " I was the topper of my class so don't dare to test my brain, alright? I know more than you so it would be a waste if you fight with a genius lady like me."

"Overconfidence," Javier mumbled in between his breathe when he noticed how she flips her hair in style, to show off.

Javier's phone rang which was there on the shelf, and Jennifer passed it to him, "here, your phone."

"Who is calling?" Javier asked when he washed his hands in the sink and took the phone from Jenifer's hands, "It is Ellen." Jennifer replied after seeing the dialer's name.

Javier immediately picked up the call and heard some disturbance on the other side. Ellen's voice was not clear, so he went to the little side, to hear what Ellen was saying, thinking that the connection must be weak. "Hello? Ellen? What?"

"S..Si..Sir..someone..ent" the voice breaking between didn't make Javier understand even a single thing. He was clueless about what Ellen said just now and looked at his phone with a frown.

"What happened now?" Jennifer's concerned voice from his behind made him turn around, while his eyes were still on his phone, trying to contact Ellen but to his dismay, he never picked it up.

"Ellen called...but he didn't say anything.." that was already strange for him yet he still stayed calm. Javier lifted his eyes, and by chance, they fell on the large window in front of him and something made him narrowed his eyes.

'Don't tell me...' realization drew on his head when he walked on Jennifer with his large steps, who was still sitting on the counter with no idea about the environment, and pulled her down on the ground, alongside him.

"Wha Ja-"
