The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 149 - Cup Of Coffee

Chapter 149 - Cup Of Coffee

At this time, Jennifer perfectly knows that it was the right time to escape the conversation.

The ladies will not leave her alone, rather matching her with their sons.

'Gosh.. did they like me so much?' It was already unexpected from their side yet she didn't react much.

Giving them an absolute big smile, Jennifer replied, "Umm... I have to use the washroom. You see, Javier hasn't allowed me to get out of the room for much longer. I don't want him to get upset by my presence here again.."

"Oh girl, so what? Mrs. Shirley will handle her stepson."

Another lady passed the comment and Jennifer once again was over the clouded night that someone took her side.

"No need for such. I don't want any disagreement to happen between the family due to me. I will take my leave.." she stood on her toes, "Have a great time meeting you all."

The ladies passed her a beautiful smile, filled with glitter smoke, indicating they were blessed to have a meet with such a sweet girl like her.

It was already a compliment in her direction when they not only praised her but also her upbringing.

It made her happy to the next level but at the same time, she wasn't willing to stay with them anymore.

'Why to stay with them anymore when they are ready to hitch you with someone despite knowing about Lucas?' she wasn't interested to go on any date with their sons at all!

Especially, when there was enough boys drama going around her, making her stuck in this complicated situation too.

Taking her to leave, Jennifer climbed the stairs at a slow pace, so do not to look clumsy in the lady's eyes, which were still stuck to her from her back.

She can sense the intense gaze too easily.

Coming back on the first floor, when she was out of their sight, did she sigh a relief.

Complicating It enough to make her feel suffocated, she knew how dangerous the situation was.

"Oh my god... Emily and Shirley's face was enough to witness by me..haha.." a chuckle passed through her lips when she recalled that while she was walking along the corridor.

Recalling their past expressions makes her heart full of butterflies.

Walking in the direction toward her room, out of the blue, her instincts told her that someone is behind her.

Turning around, she tried to look around the place but to her dismay, there was no one, 'But why do I feel someone was following me?' She was clueless.

Keeping these thoughts back in her mind, Jennifer once again started taking steps towards the room but in the middle, halted when the voice entered her ears.

"You are quite sarcastic, Ms. Taylor, aren't you?"

It was Amaira, without even trying to look at their face, she could make it from her voice. "Why? I fought with your mother, did it make you sad?"

"Not at all. But I must say that you don't leave your enemy at the bay. With your charm, not only did you make the ladies down, appreciate you but also...other members of the family."

That wasn't new to her since she was pretty much an insecure person.

Jennifer faced with her high chin, with lingering confidence, "You see, I don't like to give my opponents many options to harm me."

"Why? Afraid that if you gave them an option, they will not only ruin you but bring you to your knees?" Amaira wore an expressionless face, with her tugged inside her pocket.

Expecting, as usual, Jennifer didn't say a lot but she was now curious to feel that lady's words contained hidden meanings too.

There was a mist in Jennifer's eyes too, didn't how much difference just her eyebrows raised slightly, "You are wrong. I don't like it when others try to harm me. You can't underestimate your opponent and I don't like taking many risks too."

She simply stayed the fact that Jennifer felt comfortable in her heart.

If her opponent is Emily and Shirley, then it's hard to change it.

Even if Javier himself tried to make her understand then she was sure that it won't move an inch too.

It was simple, her opinion was enough to influence others too. The same was somewhat made Amaira attracted towards her personality, "Jennifer, you are outspoken. Downstairs, your talks with mom and Emily were rude but I believe you had gone there to only have some fun...not because mother called you.."

A giant smile plaster on her face when Jennifer spoke, "You are correct! I had no interest in your mother's friend meet. But maybe messing within her group has another segment of fun! And why should I miss it?" it was evident from her words that whatever Amaira guessed was indeed true.

The lady's brutal honest answer made Amaira laugh. 'This girl....is too unique..'

It was too hard to guess how she and her brother can live in the same room by themselves when her brother doesn't know anything but to carry a straight face.

The sarcastic smile on her face was replaced with a sweet smile.

The change was sudden which made Jennifer raise her guards too. But at the same moment, she doesn't expect something really dangerous from this girl's as well.

"Interested to have some cup of tea with me? I believe it won't be as boring as those lady's party at least..''

The offer was hard to resist since it was the first time that Amaira took initiative. The last time they went on a walk, it was nice to have a conversation with her. 'More or less, she won't do anything to harm me either. She is too honest for the same..'

With this thought in her mind, Jennifer nodded her head but before giving the final say, she asked with certainty in her tone, "If not with intention of having wrong..then I will love too."

"Don't worry, I'm not like my mother... You can rest assured on that part. Come, let's go to my room for some privacy and talks. You will love the view.."
