Chapter 350: Life-saving help from a desperate situation, Wenyao Xu brings food to Alian_3
The Rubik’s Cube edges hung from a metal rod that extended down to the floor, beside which was an irregularly shaped white single-seater sofa.
Beside the sofa, stood a white robot…
Although it was not the first time he had seen it, Xu En was still amazed by the design.
The Ji Family was born for art.
It was strange, though, how Ji Shaojun, who drew so well, had no fame, whereas Ji Mulan’s planning and design for Xiangcheng were mentioned as a part of key projects, yet amongst designers, she hardly made a splash.
He opened his phone to take a picture and sent it to Bai Lian—
[“This is what it looks like now, compared to the recent New Chinese style, which do you prefer?”]
Right after sending it, a call came through, from Xu Family’s residence.
“Ming will come tomorrow, you and Wenyao should both come back to the old house for a meal,” said Madam Xu’s voice, leaving no room for refusal.
Xu En replied directly, “I have a lunch planned with Uncle Ji and the others tomorrow. If Shuyun wants, she can join us here.”
Ji Heng had caught a lot of fish, and they planned to prepare a fish head hotpot for tomorrow’s lunch.
“Xu En!” Madam Xu sounded somewhat angry.
“If you wish, you can come as well,” Xu En was no longer willing to compromise with her.
Madam Xu hung up the phone.
Xu En didn’t care, he hung up the phone and Bai Lian replied:
[“Keep this one.”]
She wanted Xu En to keep the cyberpunk style, which was unexpected yet understandable.

The next day.
Shen Qing and Ji Shaojun crossed two districts early in the morning to deliver fish soup to Bai Lian.
“Ning Xiao, Tang Ming,” Shen Qing looked at their dark circles, hesitated to speak, then moved beside Bai Lian, lowering her voice to ask, “What’s with them?”
Bai Lian sat in her seat, with her cotton-padded jacket set aside.
She wore only a white cashmere sweater, the cuffs and collar embroidered with pale yellow, her hair gathered back with a wooden hairpin. Her face was enveloped by the mist from the soup, looking ethereal but sharp, “They haven’t slept all night, might be a bit of ‘yin’ deficiency.”
Despite the lack of rest, she was still lively and spirited.
“I see,” Shen Qing looked at the two men’s complexions, considering picking up some velvet antler to stew into a soup on her way back.
“You’re really not coming for the fish head hotpot at noon?” Shen Qing asked again.
After finishing her soup, Bai Lian placed her chopsticks neatly before answering, “I have to give an academic report tomorrow, no time.”
The deadline was too tight, and she and Wang Xu had yet to finish the report.
“Then we’ll bring you some medicine at noon…” Shen Qing bit her tongue, quickly withdrawing her gaze from Tang Ming and Ning Xiao, “We’ll bring you fish heads at noon.”
Fish heads weren’t much to give; Shen Qing intended to bring some tonic soup for the two men.
The three of them saw off Shen Qing and Ji Shaojun.
Tang Ming touched his head as he watched them board the bus, “Why do I feel like Auntie’s gaze towards me was very weird…”
Ning Xiao was also in contemplation.
Bai Lian spoke calmly, “Let’s head to the classroom and hustle on the problems.”
Noon.
Yunxiao District.
Xu Family.
Xu Wenyao parked the car and, after getting out, gentlemanly opened the door for the woman in a black coat to step down.
This was Qi Shuyun.
Slim waist, long legs, sunglasses pushed up to just catch the loose bangs, she exuded a strong presence.
The two were here to find Xu En. At the entrance of Xu Family, Qi Shuyun took a call.
Right at the doorstep, they bumped into Shen Qing and Ji Shaojun. As the three were well acquainted, and upon learning that Xu Wenyao was returning to Jiangjing University, Shen Qing suddenly remembered, “Jiangjing University is also in Chang’an District, right? Could you bring this to Alian and the others?”
Shen Qing gestured towards the black bag in her hand.
Inside was an insulated food container with fish heads and… the soup for those two men.
Xu Wenyao hadn’t known where Bai Lian was; he always assumed she was out playing with classmates. Hearing she was also in Chang’an District, he quickly asked, “Of course, where is she?”
