The Founder of Qi Cultivation, Reincarnates?

Chapter 434 431- Dai Hee (5)

Looking away from the cat, Dai Hee said to the youth.

"Since you already know my name, then there is in need for me to introduce myself. But what do you want from me?"

"Ah, I just wanted to apologize for my elder brother's actions from before."

Hearing this, Dai Hee finally remembered this youth was with that strange person that was calling him master.

Remembering how his mask was ripped off his face, Dai Hee's face scrunched up as he asked.

"Are you with that other person who took off my mask?"

As if hearing the discontent in his voice, the youth waved his hand and said hurriedly.

"Of course not, we have no relation to those two, brother Dai."

"Oh."

Dai Hee's face relaxed upon hearing Jun's words.

"Well, there's no need for brother Jun to apologize, it was a simple mistake of identity."

"Haha, well, I wonder about that…"

"Hm?"

Dai Hee looked at Jun confused.

"Ah, it's nothing. Were you about to purchase something from the Auction House? I as well, how about we go in together?"

Dai Hee hesitated for a moment but seeing Jun's honest personality he felt strangely relaxed around him.

Smiling Dai Hee nodded.

"Sure let's go."

After that, Dai Hee, and Jun who was holding Tai entered the Auction House.

The first floor of the Auction House was reserved for auctions, but the higher floors sold items that didn't appear in the auctions.

After they entered they made the way up to the second floor where they were greeted by a female attendant.

"Welcome two Young Masters to the Mercenary Association's Auction House. What will you be purchasing today?"

"Soul Nourishing pills."

The attendant then waited for Jun to reply but seeing he wasn't going to she was quick to say.

"Alright then, follow me to this area."

Dai Hee knew Jun wasn't here to buy anything but simply said so to accompany him.

Inside this second floor, there were a few people looking around at the many glass cases and shelves. Passing these glass cases and shelves, Dai Hee saw that they contain fancy-looking Spirit Artifacts and well-kept manuals.

The attendant soon led them to three glass cases that had a single pill inside.

"These are the different grades of the Soul Nourishing pills we have. Form left to right are ones with 60% medicinal effects to 80% medicinal effects."

Grades of medicinal pills were separated into how many Medicinal effects the pill retains after being concocted by an Alchemist.

If a pill had a medicinal effect below 40% it would be considered a low-tier medicinal pill. Having a medicinal effect below 60% would make it a mid-tier medicinal pill, and having a medicinal effect below 90% would make it a high-grade medicinal pill.

After glancing at the pills, Dai Hee's expression fell by quite a bit.

"Don't you have any Soul Nourishing pills above 90% medicinal effect? These won't do."

The attendant hearing this froze and stared at Dai Hee for a moment. After realizing that he was being serious, the attendant smiled bitterly before saying.

"Sir, Soul Nourishing pills, or alchemy pills in general above 90% are as rare as seeing a phoenix flying in the sky in broad daylight. Not to mention the materials needed to concoct one, an Alchemist would have to surpass the level of a Pill Monarch and reach the level of a Pill Emperor to concoct one. But the Star Bound Continent has never produced a pill Emperor, and the only one to appear on the Maple Continent was several thousand years ago. That was the Second Emperor of the Maple Continent, Emperor Li Fung."

Hearing this, Dai Hee looked at this female attendant completely flabbergasted.

'Then what were those pills I've been eating? Judging from the texture and glistening of these pills, they are definitely of a lower grade than the ones I've been scarfing down. Just what the hell...'

Dai Hee fiddle with the storage ring on his finger, wanting to take out one of the bottles those pills were kept inside in to question this attendant, but he eventually decided to refrain from it.

This storage ring was also another thing he had been ignoring. After he had woken up in the Ice Cave the ring was next to him and he could open it without imprinting it with his soul signature.

What he saw after he opened it was mountain upon mountain of cultivation resources. The only reason he could reach this level of cultivation in six months was because of this ring.

Jun who was next to him glance at the ring he was fiddling with and paused for a moment. Though a second late he simply looked away.

After a while, Dai Hee asked.

"How much for the high-grade Soul Nourishing pill?"

"A single one costs thirty mid-grade Spirit Stones, while a batch of six costs-"

The attendant didn't get to finish as Dai Hee suddenly blurted out.

"Thirty mid-grade Spirit Stones for one?! So expensive, can't you lower it to twenty-five at least? No, lower it to fifteen and I'll add a used low-grade Spirit Artifact that would cost around twenty mid-grade spirit stones. That'll be thirty-five mid-grade spirit stones practically a steal!"

Hearing Dai Hee trying to barter the price of the pills, it was the attendants turned to stare at him completely flabbergasted.

Forcing a smile the attendant said.

"I'm sorry sir, but the prices are fixed and it is out of my authority to sell it at a lower price."

In other words, screw off and take your bartering to a common shop outside!

Dai Hee frowned, but Jun suddenly said.

"Brother Dai, if you lack Spirit Stones then I can lend some to you."

"Ah, there's no need brother Jun."

Dai Hee said while smiling at Jun. Afterward, he turned to the attendant and said.

"I'll purchase five hundred batches of high-grade Soul Nourishing pills."

Dai Hee then flipped over his palm and brought out a plain storage bag.

The attendant didn't take the bag but was instead staring at Dai Hee almost about to cough up blood.

'If you have this much money to spend why were you trying to barter?!'

Jun too was staring at Dai Hee quizzically.

Tai who was in his hand had a glimmer in his eyes as he turned to look at Dai Hee as well.

The attendant soon recovered and then took the bag. She was skeptical at first, but when she sent her spiritual sense inside and examine its contents her hands trembled.

This was the first time she had closed a deal with this many spirit stones.

For normal cultivators, ninety thousand mid-grade spirit stones were no small amount.

With a wide smile, the attendant looked at Dai Hee as if he was a lover as she said.

"I'll go and retrieve sir's pills right away!"

She then turned and rushed off as she didn't want Dai Hee to change his mind.

Dai Hee waited around, while Jun took a step forward to examine the various Spirit Artifacts in the glass cases.

After some time the attendant came back with a storage ring that had fancy carvings on it.

"Here you go sir, please check if this is the right amount."

Dai Hee took the ring and scanned it with his Spiritual Sense. He then nodded his head before he turn to Jun signally he was ready to leave.

However, before Jun and Dai Hee could go down the stairs leading to the ground floor, the attendant suddenly stopped them.

After looking around for a brief moment, she said in a whisper.

"Sir, if you are interested in Soul Nourishing pills, come to the Auction that is happening tomorrow night."

"Why?"

Dai Hee seeing this attendant's behavior got curious.

The female attendant looked around once again before responding, this time even softer.

"There's going to be a Soul Nourishing pill that's been concocted with 99% medicinal effects. It might even be 100% but the alchemy masters we have here are not able to fully evaluate it so they gave 99% as a conservative estimate."

Dai Hee's flickered for a moment. The difference between a pill with 99% of its medicinal effects intact compared to one with a 100% might be a 1% gap, but in reality, it was an unimaginably large difference.

A pill with 100% of its medicinal effect intact meant there were no impurities inside of it. The benefits after eating might be similar to eating a Godly pill or close to it.

Even Jun was shocked when he heard the attendant's words.

Dai Hee nodded and said.

"Thanks."

He and Jun then left the Auction House.

"Brother Jun, this is where we part."

"Are you planning on attending the auction tomorrow?"

"Yes, I am. I'm really in need of Soul Nourishing pills. Even the high-grade ones can't help me, but maybe this one in the auction can."

Smiling Jun said.

"Alright, we might meet each other sooner than later then."

Dai Hee understood the hidden meaning in his words and smile.

"Sure, I'll see you again brother Jun."

Dai Hee then turned to leave, but Tai suddenly meowed and Dai Hee paused at that.

After hesitating for a moment, Dai Hee suddenly raised his hand and patted Tai's head. Tai welcomed the pat and even leaned into his palm.

Dai Hee smiled, finally having fulfilled the strange urge he had been feeling since earlier. But soon he stopped and left while waving goodbye.

Tai and Jun watched him disappear among the same people.

"I don't feel the connection, but… it's like it's him but not at the same time."

Tai suddenly said confused, and Jun nodded.

"Elder brother was right, he at the very least has something to do with Master. Let's go, we have to tell the others."

Jun then turn and disappeared in a flash with Tai.
