Chapter 38: [To each their own!]
[19 Hours: 15 minutes: 14 seconds!]
[In the Safe Zone!]
"Mark? What are you doing?" Julia asked as she shared a drink with Alice. After telling a bit of what happened on the rooftop, Alice was much more comfortable with Julia than before. Though the air of uneasiness still remained between the two of them.
"I was just… wondering if I could kill one of them," Mark spoke, making Alice and Julia look at him with a surprised gaze. Though it seemed impossible, neither of them discouraged him.
"You will need about… 10,000 Attack power? You think you can take out that much?" Alex asked as he looked at Mark. He had already seen what Mark was capable of, so he didn't underestimate Mark at all.
"Each of my arrows can muster around 1000 Attack Power. But if I were to hit their weak points, I can take it up to at least 2000? Though I was actually thinking of using two arrows instead of one, one for each wing. You know my gift never said that I can't use more than one arrow?" Mark spoke as he analyzed the situation.
With his increased [Intelligence] he was now able to make better decisions without much problem.
"Could be? Try and see," Alex spoke, while the other two girls nodded before looking at Mark loading up two arrows. The other girls with Julia, also came closer wondering what Mark was upto.
At a distance from them, Luke was also observing them with a deep look on his face. Though he was looking more at Alice than he looked at Mark. Soon, he too shifted his gaze to Mark.
-SHING!!!!
Like a rocket, the two arrows left Mark's Silver Bow, aimed at the wings of the giant Pelikan flying in the air. Because of the added effect of the silver bow, Mark didn't need to put much effort to pull them.
Took a few seconds but the arrow reached the circling Pelikan, before hitting its wings. The pelikan gave a weird cry, before it started falling down as it struggled to to fly up. Too bad the arrow was coated with a bit of ice man, freezing those wings, as they pulled the pelikan into the water.
And as soon as it reached the water…
-Splash!

"WHOAAAA!!!"
"SHIT DAMN IT!!!!"
"THAT WAS CRAZY!!!""
The boys went crazy as they looked at Mark, while the girls blushed a little. With all of their gazes at Mark, he felt a little embarrassed before he slowly smiled, looking at Samantha, his crush, at a distance.
While most of the looks were of happiness and joy, there were a few people who were far more dumbfounded and envious of Mark. It was Luke's Party. Especially Luke, who was practically glaring at Mark.
"How do you think he is faring?" Mark spoke as he looked at the huge group of pelikan flying at the edge of the city. Alice and the group knew that Adrian was still alive, or else there was no reason for those monsters to still stay there.
"Probably surviving. Well. Since he is attracting most of the monsters, I think I should also start hunting again. I am taking the boat to the edge of the safe zone. Hopefully there should be more goblins there," Alice spoke as she too was motivated now.
"We will join too!"
"Hey! I want to hunt as well!"
"D-Don't leave me behind!"
And soon everyone gained the motivation to hunt once again, as they all began moving towards the edge of the safe zone.
…
[At the South Area: Adrian's Location!]
"Can you give me a break?!" Adrian complained as he dodged the red goblin's attack once again. One of the red goblins caught up to him, and jumped off the pelikan. Because he was able to manage to get closer to Adrian, he was now on a constant tail behind him.
Adrian had to kill at least dozens of water goblins every 20 seconds, in order to maintain a minimum Agility in order to escape from the red goblin. And as far as fighting against the goblin goes, it wasn't really the best option, since not only that goblin was a bit stronger than Adrian, he was also much more skilled in wielding a sword than Adrian who had picked a sword like a week ago.
The red goblin could also somehow predict the direction of Adrian's gunshots, dodging it precisely, right before Adrian presses the trigger. It was annoying, leaving Adrian with the only option of running as he hunted the water goblins.
But that wasn't all. There was one more piece of bad news present, which Adrian was only noticing now.
'The number of water goblins are barely 20% of what they were before,' he calculated as he killed a few more. If previously they all filled the entire hallway, now there were barely 10 of them present there.
"Fuck it," Adrian cursed before looking at the number of points he had right now.
[GM Points: 310,250!]
It wasn't even close to the goal, but he had to make do with what he had right now.
[Boots: Black Leather Boots of Grace!

+70 Agility!
+[Temporary Haste: In the state of running, the User's Stamina and Agility would increase by 5%]

[Would you like to make the following changes for 310,250 Points?]
Immediately clicking [Yes!], Adrian turned around as he faced that Demonic Goblin. Pouring 2000 MP into his boots, he then increased his overall Agility above 150. His eyes locked in with that red goblin, before a devilish smile appeared on Adrian's face.
"Dodge this, you fucker!" Adrian shouted before shooting 10 shots with 100 MP each, as he drilled all those shots in that goblin's body.
Even though the goblin was able to see those shots, he wasn't able to dodge more than two of them. But to Adrian's surprise, he was still alive after being injured by those shots.
"Just die," and Adrian looked down at him before pressing the gun on his head and pouring another 500 MP into it.
-BANG!

"Well. Let's just get over with this," Adrian spoke with a tired expression, before he lifted his body up again and started moving towards the group of monsters in front of him.
Though this time, his aim was that giant goblin from before. Along with the Pelikan on which he was riding.
…
[Location: ???!]
A lady wearing a blue dress bowed against a giant statue, as she kneeled with both her eyes closed.
"Yes, I understand. I will bring Lady Alice and her friend here as soon as the tutorial is over," the lady spoke gracefully before the light shining behind the statue dimmed out. The Lady then opened her sapphire blue eyes, observing the area around her.
And after a few seconds of silence, a smile bloomed upon the face of that lady, as she breathed a sigh of relief.
"My Queen, your Highness Eva. Is it true that this girl, Lady Alice, is going to be our savior? Even though she is a Heaven's Grade, they aren't rare in our kingdom, my lady," one of the girls serving Queen Eva spoke with a hint of doubt on her face.
"Maria. You have served me far longer than anyone else, haven't you? Have you not seen what these sapphire eyes are capable of? I have lived a future where I met her and her friend Luke, where we fought wars together and won many. The only reason we lost in that war was because we realized the great potential hidden within Alice a bit too late.
This time, I only want to correct my wrong deeds and not repeat them again," Queen Eva spoke with a solemn look. Her eyes allowed her to live two lives, and one may even call her a returner given how she had memories of the future.
"Is that why you asked [Goddess Aqua!] to give her a contract? Even before we or the Goddess met the person in question?" Asked Maria with a little enlightenment. Even though she knew everything, all this was a bit too absurd to be believed in.
Though it wasn't the powers that Maria was judging as she fully believed in them, but the person who was taking the decisions.
"I would have shown you what Alice is capable of, if we or anyone else was allowed to watch the tutorials. Alas, we can only wait for the tutorial to be over and Lady Alice to come into the safe zone," Queen Eva spoke with a slight smile as she looked forward to meeting Alice once again.
