Chapter 91 Ephesus! I
A Cataclysm! Read new chapters at empire
This was what was occurring right before them as Carthage was nearly wiped out in a matter of seconds, the death toll unknown!
"No!"
"Jack! Nala!"
Gem Masters who were defending the now wasted Walls of Carthage cried out for their families, many of them trying to stabilize themselves on the shaking earth to go into Carthage, which now had a massive rising multicolored mountain that continued to surge upwards.
On this mountain, vibrant trees and vegetation that shone with bright light could be seen- waves of dense Energeia erupting from it as such a scene of pure fantasy did not cause anyone to appreciate it.
The horror it caused became the focus!
In the midst of all this, a massive tree began to rise around the horrified Gem Masters as vines stretched out from its trunk to wrap around the Gem Masters and lift them up.
Wide green leaves that looked like platforms bloomed on this emerging tree- the figure of Alexander being seen atop it as he controlled the massive tree to release vines that wrapped around the Gem Masters of Carthage and placed them on the leaves of this tree he was controlling with Limited Nature Manipulation!
He continued to pour Energeia into it as the leaves he made expanded and became over 30-50 meters, and dozens of these massive platform-like leaves continued to sprout on this massive tree he nurtured as more and more Gem Masters were placed on it.
Even though the earth was rolling, the roots of this tree fell under his control and continued to shift and remain in place even as the land around him seemed to be stretching and expanding.
Even more vines from this tree erupted out and went into Carthage to save as many as they could- the Gem Masters who could fly doing the same as Alexander's Minions all moved under his command to save as many as possible!
Nueire was the one saving the most as vines erupted from her as she flew over the expanding Carthage, her eyes full of fear towards the rising mountain as she circled nearby to save as many as she could.
Anastasia, Vishpala, and all other Beast Minions moved under the command of Alexander as they also saved as many as they could and deposited them on the wide platform like leaves of the tree their master was growing!
Claire and Azazel moved as fast as lightning as their gazes were ashen.
WOOO!
Along with the rising mountain, the skies howled with heavy winds as the temperature in the surroundings…began to drop.
Even further up in the skies, clouds gathered as they weren't fully dark, with the sight of shocking gaps opening in the skies being seen as wisps of pure blue Energiea leaked from it and joined the dark clouds to give them a cerulean sheen.
It was a gorgeous and terrifying scene to observe as moments after, these clouds seemed to cover all skies nearby and stretch beyond as...a flurry of snow began to fall.
A flurry that soon turned into waves upon waves of pure snow before even a single one blanketed the ground, but by the time one did…a whole sheet of snow covered the earth as the drop in temperature became even more rapid!
Branch Leader Julius and Axel were ashen while looking around at this scene, with Axel voicing out dryly as his throat felt parched.
"This…isn't no Ascension of a world. This is the end…"
…!
The end.
That was what some people felt when they looked at the shocking changes taking place!
For Alexander and a few others who were more perceptive due to how much lifeforce they held, though…their eyes held ever-increasing shock and alarm for another reason entirely.
They could feel the concentration of the atmospheric Energeia all around…reach unprecedented levels.
As extremely cold temperatures came and a massive mountain continued to rise in the middle of Carthage, the very land seemed to be getting pushed back and expanding as alongside it, every grain of sand buzzed with Energeia!
And as if this wasn't the worst of it all…
BOOOM!
A heavy sound as if the very skies were breaking echoed out.
Alexander and a few others who could still observe amidst this chaos turned their gazes all around as they turned towards the right.
There, in the distant cloudy skies…it truly did seem like they were broken as shockingly, a mountain peak pointing down began to emerge from the split skies.
Obsidian in color and seemingly made of tenebrous crystalline glass, this mountain radiated a terrifying air of malice and power as truly, ignoring all common sense, it rose out of the skies and pointed down towards the earth…and remained suspended there.
…!
It was too fantastical.
Too odd!
"Alex!"
At this moment, his father shouted out towards him as Alexander turned his attention back to everything around him.
He couldn't feel it due to his high life force, but all around, the saved Gem Masters and Unawakened Humans…were shivering.
Not only that, but the rough winds and descending storm of snow, alongside the rapid drop in temperature, even showed some people beginning to freeze on their extremities!
…!
Alexander quickly moved as the leaves that were like platforms grew, his control over Limited Nature Manipulation being tested even more as he caused the growth of these leaves to form verdant flower petals that rose up and closed those in on any leaf platform.
The massive tree he nurtured stood against the raging storm of snow and dropping temperatures as dozens of platforms twisted to become enclosed flowers that protected those within as much as possible.
Only Alexander and his Minions were the only ones still out in the open, their gazes somber as when they looked around them- their gazes were already obscured by heavy snowstorms.
There were no more screams from what used to be Carthage.
Only howling winds and the sound of shifting earth, and layers upon layers of ice beginning to form around everything.
The silence was deafening as it meant one thing.
Millions were dead and frozen amidst the collapsed earth.
And yet the howling winds only raged forth with even greater fervor as if…the lands and skies themselves were expressing tremendous rage.
It was the start of something that nobody- absolutely nobody truly understood nor expected!
