The Devil's Harem

Chapter 94 - Alex, You Are Scaring Me

Chapter - 94

"You are here again,"

"I need your help,"

"We are seeing a lot of each other. You don't have anything else in your mind, do you?"

"C'mon, this is no time to joke around. I am seriously in deep shit,"

"Well, if you say so. But it won't be free like all the last times,"

"What do you want?"

"I haven't thought about it. But let's say be my genie and grant me a wish when I ask for it,"

"A wish? Not again,"

"What do you mean again?"

"Nothing... Fine... Fine... I will do it. Now, will you please help me?"

"You just have to say,"

"Help me, Rachel. Please help me,"

"Now, isn't that just sweet," Rachel said as she ruffled Alex's hair, "Now what is it this time?"

After Daniel left him in front of Theation, Alex rode his bike straight towards the hospital. He could not take it anymore. He could not identify himself from himself.

"I know that we talked about it, but these mood swings and sudden outbursts are making it hard for me. One minute I am all jolly and laughing, but the next moment, I want to break someone's skull. One moment, I am shy of women, and before you know it, I am the one taking the lead," Alex began to rant his problems.

"Calm down... Calm down, take it slow," Rachel said as she handed him a glass of water.

Alex chugged down the whole glass in one go, "That is the problem. I am not calm anymore. I am always smiling, but mind and heart unconsciously are in a constant turmoil."

"I can understand," Rachel said, placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Can you?" Alex looked at Rachel with irritation in his eyes.

"I can. I have seen a lot of such cases over the years. What you are experiencing is something very common. What you have to do is toughen up and try and bear it out. Talk to me, your friends, family or anyone you feel like it." Rachel said as she moved from Alex's side to her desk.

"What about this urge that I am having?" Alex said as he watched Rachel walk to her desk, "I was never the violent type, but now whenever someone offends me, all I can think of is to beat the shit out of them. Is this normal as well?" Alex asked.
"Everyone experiences things differently. Some get unnecessarily depressed, some get anger issues, some even experience blackouts. Everyone has different symptoms." Rachel said as she wrote down something.

"Can't you do that hypnosis thing that they show in movies and stuff? I am sure it will help me," Alex asked.

"It's not that easy. You are not stable at the moment. If we were to go down that road, it might not end good with you," Rachel said but soon regretted her choice of words.

"So you are saying I am not right here?" Alex asked, poking the sides of his forehead angrily, "You think I am a psycho in making, don't you?" Alex said in a deep, menacing voice. Rachel's heart skipped a beat, and she could feel the threat growing from Alex.

"That's not what I meant," Rachel managed to squeeze out those words.

"So you don't mean it?" Alex smirked and his eyes turned towards the pen Rachel was holding on to.

"You are going to report this all to Mom, aren't you? Just like the last time," Alex got up and walked towards Rachel slowly as he continued to stare at her.

"Wh... Why would I? Last time was because... because your mother saw you coming here that... that I had to tell her," Rachel leaned back on her chair and followed Alex with her eyes. She hurriedly closed her notepad and put her pen over it.

"Is that so?" Alex stopped in front of Rachel. He continued to stare at her, and a smile appeared on his face, but that was not at all reassuring for Rachel.

"But you see, I don't care," the smile on his face vanished, and Alex in a flash grabbed Rachel by her shoulders. Rachel tried to stand up but Alex pushed her further into her chair, "Even now, I am thinking of ways to make you do what I asked for and believe me, they are not pretty." Alex said as he stared right into her eyes. Rachel flinched with pain, but what scared her more were those blood-red eyes.

"Alex, you are scaring me," shivering in pain, Rachel said in a tremulous voice.

"I am more scared right now, huhehee..." Alex said as he grinned, looking at the shivering Rachel, "But you see, this is all temporary. It will all be gone in no time."

Alex then looked away as his eyes followed Rachel's hand placed on her desk. She was tightly holding on to her pen, ready to strike at any time.

"See, everyone just wants to survive," Alex said and let go of Rachel.

Rachel turned her head and realised that unconsciously, in hopes of holding on to something she ended up grabbing the pen over her notepad.

"Alex, it's not like that at all," Rachel threw the pen away, left her chair and walked up to Alex, who was standing with his back toward her, "I just want you to understand that there is no need for you to push yourself so hard..." Rachel put her hand over his back and gently caressed his back over his shirt.

"Maybe there is a reason that you lost your memories. A reason that you are subconsciously trying so hard to stop those memories from resurfacing." Rachel gave her shoulder a light squeeze, "Don't let your logic and reasoning rule over you. Let the heart decide." Rachel walked in front of him and put her hand over his chest as she looked into his eyes. The blood-red was gone from his eyes, and his eyes were back to normal.

"I suggest you take a break, away from everyone. From what I can see, your present company is what's troubling you. I don't know who they are, what they mean to you, but they are the cause of conflict within you." Rachel pulled back her hand and walked to her desk. Alex also turned around as his gaze followed her.

She poured some water in a glass and walked with that to Alex, "Give it some thought." Rachel said, handing him the glass.

Alex took the glass from her, "I will."

"By the way. who's the girl you are taking lead on with?" Rachel asked, changing the mood of the conversation.
