The Academy's Strongest Undercover Professor

Chapter 167 - A Interesting Discussion

The Emperor quickly came out, practically panicked because of the Empress and what she had just shouted.

"Did something happen?" He came out, out of breath, and his eyes widened when he saw who she was talking to.

"Caedrel? You're finally back from the Snowy Mountains?"

The Emperor was having a hard time believing that it really was me from the looks of it. Maybe he had expected that it would take me even more time to get back for some reason. He also looked somewhat scared of me as he kept staring in my direction.

But then his eyes shifted to the person standing next to me, and his eyes widened even more. If it continued like this, he might have a heart attack. He was that shocked.

"T-the Queen of the Ice Elves is here with you…?!" He couldn't believe it. "Just what the hell happened in the Snowy Mountains for her to accompany you all the way here."

Before I could even attempt to reply, the Empress replied in my stead right away without the slightest hesitation.

"They're together! Isn't this amazing?"

The Emperor didn't say anything as his mouth just dropped, staring at both me and Amelia over and over again.

"You…" He pointed in my direction. "…and her? This isn't a prank, right?"

Amelia smiled as she kissed me on the cheek. "Nope! Totally serious! We even took a week together before coming back here… but he insisted on coming back here."

The Emperor has a lot of things that have surely clicked in his mind. After all, my students had returned to the Human Capital before me. That's why he must have wondered where I had left, but now he knew, and it was the last thing that he had expected from me from the looks of it.

"I see, so you two are now together…" The Emperor still couldn't believe it. "Anyway, enough about that, Caedrel, come with me." He looked at Amelia. "As for you, please spend some time with my wife in the meantime; I'm sure there are a lot of things that you could think about."

Amelia had this annoyed look on her face but still nodded. After all, I wasn't leaving with another woman, but the Emperor of the Human Race. There was no danger of me getting stolen.

As we walked toward the Emperor's office, he sure had a lot to say, or rather, ask me about what I had done in my absence, especially about Amelia and our relationship.

"Can I know exactly how the Queen of the Ice Elves is now your girlfriend?"

He really looked annoyed by that fact. I could see it in his eyes… maybe because before, I was always alone and had practically no connections. But that fact had now changed since I was now closely related to the ice elves, which finally gave me a group to support me in my decisions.

"It just came to be. She was really pushy, and I just accepted going out with her. That's all."

"Pushy? Do you mean that she's the one who wants to be with you? Not the other way around?" The Emperor frowned. "That makes no sense, though. I heard rumors as to how she despised men…"

I laughed at him. "Didn't I tell you already? I'm different from normal men. That's probably why she fell for me."

The Emperor just gulped as he nodded before opening the door to his office.

"You can take a seat."

The tone of his voice turned serious right away. The casualness that I had seen beforehand was nowhere to be seen now.

"First, I want to talk about the threats you made to Alexandra. Were you serious about what you said back then?"

"Yes, I was serious about everything I said. I won't be your spy anymore, and my actions against the demons will be solely mine. The reason I made this decision was actually because of Alexandra."

The Emperor frowned slightly at those words.

"What about us becoming enemies…? Were you serious about that, too?"

"Enemies? What are you talking about?"

I frowned at those words. They were certainly not what I had said. I did mention that if he got in my way, then he would have to be careful around me. But he still hadn't done anything of that sort. So, he had no need to be scared of me. Well, even then, he seemed confident that I wouldn't try anything stupid since he had brought me all the way here, completely alone.

I could feel the presence of a few hidden assassins around, but they weren't really threats to me, and the Emperor knew that very well.

"I never said that we would become enemies. That will only be the case if you get in my way. If you don't, then we can keep a friendly relationship without any problems."

"That's not what Alexandra told me, though. She told me you were declaring war against me."

This time, I was the one who closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I needed to stay calm, especially in front of the Emperor. However, one thing was certain: Alexandra would suffer the consequences of her actions.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

I took a deep breath before opening my eyes again. "Is that so? I declared war on you? Then why didn't you prepare a "welcome" party for me?"

"I had a feeling that even you weren't stupid enough to do such a thing. And then there was the call with you that reinforced that theory. I thought there was no way you would be my enemy, knowing that I have a video of you showing off your powers. After all, this is the last thing that you would want to spread, right?"

"Are you threatening me?" I looked at him dead in the eyes, losing all my playfulness. "Is that really your plan?"

"Haha!"

"Is that really your plan? Do you think I'm scared of the pitiful assassins hidden? They couldn't even make a dent in my body, even if they gave their all. Now, give me that video. I will be the one taking care of it from now on."

The Emperor didn't respond to my threat, and he also felt the energy being released from my body. However, he managed to keep a straight face through it.

"Actually, I was thinking of keeping it. You know, if you ever wanted to become my enemy."

I didn't say anything as I suddenly stood up, and as I did, I had swords pointed at my throat in all directions. His assassins had decided to play with me from the looks of it.

However, the only reaction they got out of me was a simple smirk.
