Chapter 7: The jade’s secret and Qin Chen’s determination
Chapter 7: The jade's secret and Qin Chen's determination
Everyone was stunned as a beautiful woman dressed like a cultivator emerged from the jade.
Although she appeared in spectral form, her beauty was mesmerizing.
The woman suddenly opened her eyes, and a gust of wind along with a brilliant light appeared simultaneously, forcing Long Tian and the others to shield their eyes again.
The light was so bright that nothing was visible except for pure whiteness.
And a few seconds later, the light vanished.
Long Tian slowly opened his eyes and realized that the woman had disappeared again.
He promptly walked over to Ling Han, who was still standing, holding the jade.
"Where did she go?" he asked.
"I don't know, she seemed to appear and disappear all of a sudden. I didn't even sense any life aura from her. I think she went back into the jade," Ling Han replied.
Long Tian stroked his chin upon hearing Ling Han's words. He, of course, knew about the woman. She was Qin Chen's master and undoubtedly powerful.
That was the reason why Qin Chen could become stronger quickly.
"Here, young master," Ling Han said, handing the jade to Long Tian.
"I don't know where you got it, but this jade is a treasure," he added.
"I know," Long Tian nodded and smiled slightly.
He looked at the jade for a moment, only realizing then that the jade had turned a deeper shade of green, with a dim but elegant gleam.
He placed it back in his storage ring.
"A bit chaotic here, but I got what I was looking for," Long Tian said, satisfied, as he turned his gaze to something in front.
It was the statue that had disappeared, replaced by a sizable puddle, large enough to be considered a lake.
Ling Han and Wu Gang were also looking at the puddle.
Ling Han, however, couldn't hide his interest in the puddle.
He walked over to it and touched it, "Young master, this is no ordinary water. Its content... It's like a concentrated mountain of Reiki at one point," he said earnestly.
"Uncle Ling, can you shrink it without reducing its volume and efficacy?" Long Tian asked.
"Let me try," Ling Han said.
Then, he took a bottle from his spatial ring and pointed it at the lake.
As he was doing this, he also directed his right hand at the pool of water, and it glowed with a faint red light.
The next second, the water in the pool floated into the bottle. Oddly enough, the bottle didn't fill up immediately but slowly.
A few seconds later, the water in the pool was completely drained, all inside the small bottle.
Long Tian couldn't hide his surprised expression. Honestly, it was a random question whether it was possible to store so much water in a small container. He didn't expect Ling Han to be able to do it.
Regardless, it was a good thing.
Wu Gang, though accustomed to witnessing supernatural things, was equally astounded at seeing Ling Han condense an entire pool of water into a single bottle
"Here, young master," Ling Han said, handing the bottle to Long Tian.
Long Tian nodded, accepting the bottle. "Thank you, Uncle Ling," he said with a smile.
"It's nothing. By the way, young master, this water contains a lot of Reiki, it will be great to assist your cultivation," Ling Han said.
"I know, Uncle Ling," Long Tian nodded.
***********
Night was getting deeper. Long Tian and Ling Han separated with Wu Gang. He still had duties as an Elder of the Wudang sect.
Meanwhile, in the backyard of a house...
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
The sound of bangs echoed repeatedly. A young man was seen practicing martial arts, punching a wooden dummy.
His sweat was pouring, showing that he was working very hard. And from a close look, his face was very familiar.
In an instant, you could see that it was Qin Chen.
Since he was beaten up by Long Tian earlier that day, his determination to take revenge had been ignited.
It was not only personal vengeance, but he also had to train hard to save Li Yue'er, whom Long Tian had kidnapped.
The image of Long Tian touching Li Yue'er haunted his mind. He could only hope Long Tian didn't do anything to her.
Bang!
The last punch made the wooden dummy break into pieces.
"Pant... pant..." Qin Chen was panting heavily as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.
His expression solemn, "Long Tian, I will surely take my revenge!" He swore.
With that, he cleared away the remnants of the wooden dummy.
Tonight, he intended to go on a treasure hunt. He had originally planned this for a few days later, but Long Tian had ignited his determination to grow stronger more swiftly.
Just a few days ago, he had acquired a treasure map at a flea market for 5.000 Yuan.
The amount was considerable for a student like him, but it was a worthwhile investment since the map was legitimate. He had been fortunate enough to purchase it from a seller unaware of its true value.
And his destination: the Tianzhou forest.
