Sovereign of the Firmaments

At one of the many entrances of the myriad primordial forest.

"Reece, I have one task for you."

Just when they were about to enter the forest, Lucas stopped as he said to Reece.

"What is it, Sir Lucas? If it is about hunting the spirit beasts, just leave it to me."

Reece was all excited as he asked Lucas about the task.

"Yes. It is about hunting spirit beasts. You need…."

Lucas nodded his head and before he could finish his words, Reece interrupted Lucas as he asked, "Should I hunt a dozen rank 3 spirit beasts?"

"No. You need to hunt as many rank 1 spirit beasts as possible and collect their blood in these gourds."

While saying that, Lucas transferred a dozen gourds into Reece's space ring.

'What?'

Reece nearly fell to the ground when he heard his task.

Because Reece was excited about killing some high-level spirit beasts; however, Lucas was asking him to kill rank 1 spirit beasts.

"Yes, Sir Lucas."

Nevertheless, it was his first mission from Lucas and he didn't want to reject it. So, he nodded his head, accepting the mission.

"After you fill all the gourds, go back to the manor and give it to the old butler. After that, you can take a rest for the day."

As long as Buzz has the rank 1 spirit beast blood, he could start the process of refining rank 1 twilight sword.

'Swoosh'

After that, Lucas and Reece parted ways as one stayed in the Baron grounds to hunt for the rank 1 spirit beasts whereas the other one was moving towards the Viscount grounds.

'Before the system gives the last mission from the weekly mission series, I have to upgrade my title.'

While rushing towards the Viscount grounds, Lucas searched for a place to peacefully upgrade his title, wondering, 'I wonder what kind of effects this talent will have after upgrading it.'

Currently, Lucas only had one title 'Sovereign in process' and the first effect of the title was already very powerful because he could get an extra skill after every rank he progressed.

So, of course, he was curious about the new effect of the title after upgrading it.

'System, I want to use the 'Title upgrade crystal' to upgrade my title 'Sovereign in process'.'

Since there were other things like completing the last mission from the weekly series, assassinating a rank 3 spirit beast to become tier 1 lesser assassin. So, Lucas hurriedly found a place before ordering the system.

'Ding,

          Using the 'Ttitle upgrade crystal' to upgrade the host's title.

'Ding,

          Upgrade finished. Please check the effects of the level 2 'Sovereign in process' title.

As soon as he ordered the system, he received two system notifications saying that the upgrade was finished.

'That's quick.'

Lucas didn't expect the upgrade to finish in a second and what's more, there were no bright lights or mysterious energies coming out or entering into his body.

    Title name:- Sovereign in process.

    Effects:- 1) Unlike the other quasi-lesser knights, this title user can sacrifice the equivalent ranked spirit beasts twice to get double skills.

  Note:- There should not be more than an hour time difference between the two sacrifices.

                    2) Sovereign's henchmen:- As a sovereign in process, the user needs to find some loyal henchmen from the beginning. (0 / 3 followers)

  Note:- 1) It is limited to one person from three different professions, Knight, Mage and any other profession other than Knight and Mage.

              2) The chosen henchmen's talent will be upgraded to Duke level in that particular profession.

Soon, the effects of the upgraded title appeared in front of Lucas, making his mouth wide open in surprise.

'As expected. This title is very powerful. I need to find other title upgrade crystals and see what other effects it is hiding.'

After checking out the new effect of the title 'Sovereign in process', Lucas added another goal in his head as it was to find more title upgrade crystals.

The three followers who he would choose will have their talent upgraded to Duke-level directly. For anyone, if there is no talent, they can't progress in their ranks. So, having a Duke-level talent means, they would become a peak tier 5 higher knight without a problem.

'But why the hell my Knight talent is still stuck at Baron level? And why would my henchmen's talent be upgraded to Duke-level?'

When he thought about it, Lucas could not help but shake his head as he didn't understand what the system was trying to do.

However, he was not worried about his talent because the system was able to increase others talents at will and it will be even helping him in awakening the talents of others. So, he didn't worry much about it.

As long as he remains patient, the system would help him increase his talent.

'Only if Evan was with me, it would have been good.'

Finally, he thought about his brother who had no talent but with the help of the system, he would help his little brother, only if he was not kidnapped by the mysterious organization.

"Anyway, I need to pick three followers. Beck is talented ini beast taming and as long as her talent is upgraded to duke-level, she will become even more."

The first person Lucas thought when making some loyal followers was Beck.

"As for the other two, Reece and Harper, will be the right choice as they both have experience and skills."

Lucas didn't want to pick the young ones; instead, he decided to pick Reece and Harper.

'Ding,

        The last and final mission from the weekly mission series is updated.

'Ding,

        Mission:- Survive in the Viscount grounds for the 24 hours.

        Mission reward:- Bronze treasure box.

Just as he was thinking about his three followers whom he woud be giving the status of 'Sovereign's henchmen', Lucas received the system notifications.

'Huh? Finally, the mission is updated.'

Lucas stopped thinking about the title's new effect as he read the mission and mission reward.

'Surviving in the Visocut grounds for a whole day?'

Lucas frowned at the mission as  he muttered, 'Looks like the final mission is the toughest one.'

Lucas had ventured into Viscount grounds many times  during the last few days; however, he didn't stay there for more than three hours because the spirit beasts were very aggressive in that region.

What's more, the mission was asking him to stay for an entire day.

'I am very confident in staying in the Viscount grounds during the day time; however, during the night time, all kinds of ferocious spirit beasts would come out of their lairs.'

Lucas looked at the mission reward and wondered whether the reward was worth entering the Viscount grounds.

'System, what kind of items will this bronze treasure box give?'

Since it was his first time seeing a bronze treasure box in the rewards, he wanted to know more about it before deciding whether he should try the mission or give up.

'Ding,

        A treasure box gives a bunch of items that are much better than the items in the Sovereign shop.
