Chapter 48: All Blue
Chapter 48: All Blue
What Sakim had seen was a certain tree. Similar to all the trees around, there was nothing strange about its height.
But it was placed in a patch of land amidst a pond where its branches could shade the land where it was rooted. Its supposedly green leaves were blue in color as it even gave a faint glow. Even its light blue trunk had some deep blue lines that kept glowing as well.
The grasses on the land where the blue tree was standing, were color blue as well and it was also glowing. Many butterflies that glowed in blue were also flying above those blue grasses.
The pond was filled with fallen leaves of that blue tree as the blue light reflected on the water. It could be said that everything in the area was all blue.
Surrounding the tree were many small balls of blue light as it was obvious that they were a wisp just like the one he had followed. And the wisp from before, the wisp that he followed to reach this place, had also joined with the other wisps in the area to surround the blue tree and dance with them.
Seeing this, Sakim let out a heartfelt smile. Even if he died now, with this kind of surroundings and vibes that could calm his spirit, he had no more regrets. Or at least that was how far his wild thought could get.
After being mesmerized for some time, Sakim then came closer near the pond as he watched every wisp in the area. Since that wisp brought him here, they were not going to harm him in any way, right? And contrary to that, they should at least give him something valuable, right?
With that in mind, Sakim halted his step at the edge of the pond. If he wanted to go near the blue tree, then the only way was to swim through this pond. Should he really swim? Sakim had this thought in his mind. But he was afraid that these wisps might be angered if he did so. Although these wisps appeared to be harmless, Sakim knew that he shouldn't be so complacent enough just because of the way they seemed. Who knew if these wisps were actually wolves in sheep clothing.
But as Sakim was still deep in thought, one of the wisps, probably the one that brought him here, suddenly changed shape. It transformed into something like a little fairy as it flapped its two wings behind. Even so, it was still blue in color and was in a form of light.
After the sudden occurrence, the wisp, no, the little fairy flew to a certain branch of that tree. And seeing the direction where it flew, Sakim caught sight of a certain fruit. Its shape was round as it was also glowing in light blue color. The fairy then plucked it out from the tree as it held the fruit with its too little hands.
After which, the little fairy, with the fruit with it, flew in Sakim's direction. Sakim was taken aback seeing this. Was this fairy trying to give him this fruit? How kind was this fairy if that was really the case.
So then, the fairy finally reached its distance near Sakim as it gave the fruit to him.
Sakim, on the other hand, stared at the fruit for a moment but seeing that it was harmless, he raised his hand to accept the fruit.
The fruit was just enough for his hand to grab it so that it wouldn't fall. And when he held grasp onto it, he suddenly had an urge to eat it. Only now did he realize that he was actually hungry.
[Memory Fruit]
Medal material.
Another medal material? Sakim frowned when he saw the description of the item through the System. He thought that this blue fruit could give him some kind of peerless power or some kind of exp item that could make him level up a couple of times. But medal material? It really was a kind of disappointing. It had to be known that he already had many of this kind of item. And honestly speaking, he was getting tired of it now.
The only thing he saw that was different from this item was its red title. But other than that font color and the urge to eat it to quench his hunger, nothing had caught Sakim's attention. Was this fruit really that valuable?
In any case, this fruit was given to him by this fairy in front of him so perhaps, he should at least eat it, right? Maybe something amazing would happen if he did so. Seeing its name, Sakim presumed that this item might give him some kind of memory on the way to a hidden treasure or perhaps, memories of some kind of valuable information. But no matter what was it, he was more than certain that it should be connected to memories. To what kind of memory was that, only God knew.
With that in mind, Sakim opened his mouth. If what he thought was correct, then he should never let this chance slip through his fingers.
But when Sakim was about to take a bite on the fruit, the little fairy had frantically pushed the fruit away from his mouth. Was this fool stupid? Was he trying to waste such a precious item? Couldn't he see that it was a medal material and not an edible fruit? If the fairy could just speak, then probably, lots of cursing were now flowing out of its mouth. This human was really driving it mad.
On the other hand, Sakim was taken aback seeing the sudden reaction of the little fairy. He even saw it shaking its head furiously signifying that he should not eat this fruit. Was he wrong? Was he not supposed to eat it? Sakim put the fruit away from his mouth understanding the gesture of the fairy.
If this fruit was not supposed to be eaten, then what should he do now? Medal material? Was this fruit had no other uses than to be a material to create a medal? Sakim sighed deeply as it appeared that it must be the case.
And as if the fairy had seen through his thoughts, it nodded its head multiple times afraid that Sakim would still try to eat it.
Helpless, Sakim could only throw that item in his Inventory. Because of this, he was just hoping that that Medal was something that wouldn't disappoint him. As soon as he got into the beginner's village, Sakim would definitely try to create one.
With that in mind, and after doing what was done, the little fairy appeared to be satisfied and relieved. It was just thankful that this human had still had some common sense.
So seeing that nothing went wrong, the little fairy waved its hand to bid farewell as it appeared that its task was already been completed. Sakim only watched it in silence as he saw it finally dissipating in the midair.
But before the little fairy could completely dissipate in the midair, a soft voice came out from it, "Hurry, the little moon is in danger."
When Sakim heard it, he was rather taken aback. This thing could actually speak? But that was not what was important now. What little moon? What was this fairy talking about? Did it relate to him in any way? No matter how hard Sakim had thought about it, he just couldn't understand it at all. Was this fairy had mistaken him for someone else as it warned the wrong person?
But before he could get even more bewildered, Sakim just thought to ask about it. However, when he was about to ask the little fairy what did it mean by its words, his head suddenly started hurting. It was too painful that he needed to kneel on the ground to ease the pain. But the pain was still too painful that he couldn't help but grind his teeth and clutch his hair trying to ease the pain more effectively.
Amidst the painful experience he was currently suffering, a certain memory entered his mind. What he saw was the smile of someone of which face was too blurred for him to see clearly. Only her smile appeared too clear as it gave him a feeling of longing.
Who was she? Sakim had this thought in mind that he wanted to voice out. But before he could even voice out anything, he suddenly opened his eyes and found himself lying on the ground.
What obstructed his view was leaves on the branch of a tree dancing with the wind. The king sun was already raised high and mighty as only the traces of cold wind were left by the night.
Was that a dream? Was everything he'd just seen only a dream? How about the fairy? And the beautiful blue tree? And the wisps? Where were all of them now? Sakim felt a little pain in his head when was thinking about it. So reflexively, he clutched his hair with one hand to ease the little pain.
After confirming that the pain was no more, Sakim just put the back of his hand on his forehead. It was obvious that he was in deep thought at that time.
