Chapter 175 Flames [5]
Within the Tartarus dungeon, the eternal black flames illuminated the area in an eerie glow, enveloping Grace's entire body.
The flames around her resembled hungry beasts, poised to devour anything and everything in their path.
"Keep your mind calm!"
As she stood amidst the group of monsters, towering giants with a height of two meters, I urged her to keep her mind calm and shouted for her safety.
"Be safe!" I exclaimed once again as she nodded in acknowledgment.
And as if waiting for the signal, the giants let out a roar before charging towards Grace.
"Burn."
"SCREECH."
As Grace muttered the word, the black fire in her hand flickered before engulfing the monsters entirely.
The giants howled in agony as the flames consumed them, their flesh blistering and burning as they stumbled and fell to the ground.
"ROAR."
Despite their pain, they continued to press on, their roars echoing through the dungeon as they struggled to regain their footing.
Grace watched with satisfaction as the giants writhed and thrashed in the flames, their once-mighty forms reduced to charred husks. Stay tuned for updates on empire
With each passing moment, their struggles grew weaker until finally, they lay still, their lifeless bodies smoldering in the aftermath of her attack.
"That's fine, I guess," I mumbled as I walked towards her, gently shaking the baby in my hand.
{Aphrodite's bloodline}
{Emotion Sculpting.}
Once again, I activated Nadya's bloodline ability as soon as I reached within range.
The emotions of destruction and mayhem that filled her mind quickly dissipated before they could harm her brain.
"You alright?" I asked as I arrived right beside her.
"Are you sure you want to keep it here?" She whispered as she looked at the tiny baby wolf in my hand before gently rubbing its head.
"It's fine, I am taking care of it," I replied, glancing down at the baby wolf as well.
The baby wolf with its silver hair was a captivating sight, its fur soft and pleasant to the touch.
Despite its young age, it didn't sleep much.
Its eyes, a deep shade of amber, gleamed with curiosity as it gazed at the world around it, especially fixating on both of us.
With me covering its entire body with mana, it could easily breathe and move even inside the dungeon.
"Aww, it's so cute," Grace whispered as she rubbed its cheeks, playing with it.
"
Growl
." The baby wolf let out a cute growl as it looked at Grace.
"You are the first thing she saw when she opened her eyes," I mumbled as I passed the baby wolf to her, and we continued walking further into the dungeon.
"And that's why she loves my company," Grace added as she hugged the wolf like a teddy bear.
"Anyway, how are you feeling?" I asked, looking at her seriously.
"It's... better," she replied, nodding softly. "Whatever you're doing, it's working, as I don't feel as burdened in my mind."
"Hmm, that's good," I replied, nodding in agreement.
What I'm doing with her is removing tiny bits of her emotions that lead to thoughts of killing.
The emotions of sadness and anger are the main culprits that eat away at her from the inside.
Sadness from losing her mother.
And anger from feeling powerless to do anything about it.
If I want her to return to a normal person without the black flames consuming her mind until she becomes a madwoman who barges into the royal palace killing the crown prince.
'Well, that fucker will die anyway.'
Shaking away those thoughts, I refocused on Grace, who was still playing with the wolf.
If Nadya were to take action, she could remove all the emotions of sadness and anger from her.
But that's risky too, as she might lose those emotions forever.
'Hmm, maybe I should talk to her about this.'
[Do you think it's a good idea to talk to your lover about your other lover?]
'Oh, come on, Nadya isn't that bad. But yeah, I need to prevent them from meeting.'
A girl with severe trauma haunting her entire life and a girl who can control emotions.
No matter how I look at it, if Nadya sees Grace as her enemy, Grace doesn't stand a chance.
Grace has zero chance of winning against her.
"What should we name her?" Grace mumbled as she gently patted the wolf.
"Husky."
"Bad name."
"Gracy."
"Even worse."
"Mami?"
"Eden."
I glanced at her as she called me.
"If you ever have children, never name them yourself," she said, glaring at me. "Your child will always curse you for giving them bad names."
"No... I can give good names," I replied with a frown. "Zaira is a pretty good name as well."
"Well... It's actually good," Grace replied, nodding her head before she abruptly looked at me. "Wait, who is Zaira?"
"Ahhh, my future daughter maybe?" I replied, shrugging. "Well, that's what I think."
"You're already thinking about your future daughter?" She asked, looking at me oddly. "I didn't think you'd think that far."
"Well... I'll leave the naming to you, then," I replied, and Grace paused in her movements before she blushed.
[Ah, the classic move of fake promises, how low have you gone, Eden.]
'Shut up, idiot.'
"Anyway, name her yourself," I added before I looked at the giant monster in front of us. "Before you take care of that thing."
"I thought of a name," Grace said, looking at me. "Luna."
"....Maybe I should consult someone else when naming my child," I mumbled as I sidestepped her attempt to slap my back.
"It's a good name," she replied, glaring at me.
"Yeah, yeah, now go," I said, taking Luna away from her and urging her to move.
With a deep breath, Grace summoned forth her black flames as I moved back a little.
"ROARRR."
The monster, closely resembling a Titan, roared at her as it swung its fist, encased in metal chains.
"She's getting creative," I mumbled as Grace changed the shape of her flames.
"Boom. Boom."
As the creature charged towards her with thunderous footsteps, Grace shaped the flames into a bow and arrow.
With a swift motion, she drew back the string and let loose a round of fiery arrows, each one finding its mark with deadly accuracy.
"ROOARRR."
With a monstrous roar that shook the earth, it swung its massive fists towards Grace, intent on crushing her beneath its weight.
Dodging the blows with her cat-like agility, Grace molded the flames into a whip, its tendrils lashing out with speed.
With each strike, she chipped away at the creature's flesh, wearing it down with precision.
The monster let out a pain of cry as it glared at Grace before it stomp it's leg jumping at her.
Grace shifted her focus once more, shaping the flames into a sword of pure darkness that was ten times bigger than her own size.
"Haaaah!"
With a mighty swing, she brought the blade crashing down upon the creature's neck, severing its head from its body in a single, decisive blow.
"Sweet," I mumbled as I looked at Grace, who was smiling like a maniac as the huge body of the creature fell to the ground.
[You have a weird taste in women.]
"....I can't deny that," I mumbled as I walked closer towards her, once again using Nadya's bloodline ability.
