Chapter 636 Middle East
4th October 1659
Persian Kingdom
A lot has changed since the Kingdom of Persia was established. After the Atashban family became the royal family and Ardessir became the king, the first move of the royal family was to form an imperial council. The inspiration was naturally taken from the Bharatiya Empire and its emperor Vijay Devaraya.
The Crown Princess Roxana Atashban took the burden of the kingdom from her father. Taking inspiration from the Bharatiya Empire for a lot of things, multiple projects were put forward. Road construction, port construction, hospitals, schools, police stations, and courts were being built. Roxana Atashban was very ruthless in her methods as she used prisoners of war and criminals to work as laborers for free, which kept the cost down.
Radical Islam was suppressed, conversion to Zoroastrianism was promoted, and Dharmic Islam, or the Islam of the New Testament, was tolerated and accepted.
Business was encouraged, and trade routes began to form through the Persian Gulf. The economy, which had been stranded due to the civil war, started to recover. The people who believed in the Atashban family were relieved as they saw with their own eyes one promise after another being fulfilled by the royal family.
"Is everything ready?" Roxana Atashban asked her secretary team.
A middle-aged man nodded. "It is, Your Highness. We are just awaiting your orders."
Roxana Atashban sat in her chair, flipped the documents on the desk, and signed her name on the last page. "Send this to my father," she said.
"Right away, Your Highness," he bowed and left.
'I hope everything goes well,' Roxana fell into deep thought. What she had just signed off was for the Persian Kingdom to hold elections to select representatives for the people.
Normally, the royal family would have nobles helping them to manage the kingdom, but the Atashban family, as a family that completely uprooted the old noble class, did not have nobles to rely on. Their only option was to create a new noble class, but since the Atashban family came to power in the name of equality for all and a revitalized and reborn Persian Kingdom, they could not do such a thing.
Hence, the best option was to adopt the constitutional monarchy system of the Bharatiya Empire, where the monarch makes the main decisions and decides the direction of the nation while the representatives, selected from the people and by the people, are responsible for assisting the royal family in running the nation.
It's just that Roxana was worried whether the system that worked in the Bharatiya Empire would work for the Persian Kingdom.

Lalishsthan
Ezidi Serwan got very busy after establishing a nation. The first thing he did after becoming the president was to build the capital of the city, Mosul.
He could have chosen Erbil or Urmia or even the small town of Lalish, which is their holy place and was not affected by the civil war, but after thorough consideration, he still chose Mosul due to its excellent geographic conditions and the river that passes through it, which not only provides water for development but also fertile land around it.
The area where the tribe used to live in the forest has been converted into a military outpost and a training camp to train the army.
Speaking of armies, since a lot of Yezidi people died during the civil war, despite winning it, the strength of the Yezidi tribe was not enough to control the region of Lalishsthan. Thankfully, the Bharatiya Empire stationed one of its army regiments in Lalishsthan on its northern border with the Ottoman Empire. In fact, Serwan knew the reason why the Bharatiya Empire stationed their troops in his nation was to fight against the Ottoman Empire and to have influence over the country, not to help the Yezidi control their own kingdom. But Serwan knew that it could go both ways.
The Bharatiya Empire could use the military regiment to have military influence over Lalishsthan, but Serwan could also use the Bharatiya military regiment as a deterrence against any enemy who wanted to rebel.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Serwan cleverly took advantage of the deterrence power of the Bharatiya military to keep the restless population in check, but he knew that this could not go on forever. Serwan knew that although the Bharatiya Empire would temporarily not mind him taking advantage of the Bharatiya military for his own use, if it went on for a long time, he knew that the situation would be completely different. He could imagine the Bharatiya Empire becoming impatient with him and supporting the Persian Kingdom to take over his country.
Hence, he immediately took measures. For one, he encouraged childbirth among his own people. He recommended having three or more children per couple. He heavily imported medical supplies from the Bharatiya Empire, as he knew that medical help was a huge necessity for infants.
He started to construct schools and employed some Bharatiya teachers at high costs in order to teach the people of his tribe how to be good teachers. Serwan sent a few dozen people to the Bharatiya Empire in order to completely master the Bharatiya language so that all the literature of the Bharatiya Empire could be translated into their own language, Ancient Kurdish.
In fact, Serwan made Ancient Kurdish the first language of his nation, but he chose the Bharati language as the second language.
Serwan dove deep into the religious practices of the Bharatiya Empire and took a lot of inspiration from it. He asked scholars in his tribe to pen new religious books, asked them to remove the rigid and outdated practices, and asked them to replace them with knowledge of the world and how it works.
Overall, Lalishsthan is blossoming with vitality, ready to show its beauty to the world.

Qasimid State
Al-Mutawakkil Isma'il has been in a very good mood lately. Ever since he had agreed to sell the Sokotra Islands to the Bharatiya Empire and formally established relations with the Bharatiya Empire, he, or in this case, his state, got a lot of benefits.
He stood at the port of Aden, which has been nearly expanded, smiling from ear to ear. He looked at the constant supply of goods coming from the Bharatiya Empire with a contented expression.
The exports of his nation to the Bharatiya Empire were not much since the Qasimid State was mostly a desert region. But he realized that the Bharatiya Empire did not have much relations with the tribes and sultanates within the Arabian Peninsula, so he started to buy industrial products like paper, furniture, medicine, cold weapons, and other things from the Bharatiya Empire at a cheap price and sold them to other tribes in the interior at a premium.
Exports to the Bharatiya Empire earned his nation a few million Varaha, but being the exclusive agent of the Bharatiya Empire in the Arabian Peninsula has brought profits to the Qasimid State of nearly 7 to 9 million.
Al-Mutawakkil Isma'il was ecstatic when the profits began to roll in. He immediately did what any ruler would do and began to strengthen the military. Hot weapons were bought from the Bharatiya Empire, and the troops on the border with the Ottoman Empire started to slowly increase.
Not only that, Al-Mutawakkil Isma'il started to use the military training tactics of the Bharatiya Empire and trained his military with strict discipline. Adding to the hot weapons bought from the Bharatiya Empire, the combat effectiveness and the military capabilities of Al-Mutawakkil Isma'il's Qasimid State began to increase exponentially.

Takkalu Family, Azerbaijan
Basheer Takkalu, the patriarch of the Takkalu family, looked like he had suddenly aged a few decades. His body looked malnourished and dry, while his eyes appeared dull and lifeless.
He could still not recover from the shock that his Takkalu family, which used to have control over the capital Isfahan, had now come to the condition of huddling in a corner of Safavid Azerbaijan.
A few months ago, he felt very angry and indignant towards the Zangana family, which refused to provide support despite being allies, but now, after seeing what happened to the Zangana family, he could only feel a little lucky. "At least my family is still alive," he thought.
However, sadly, despite being alive, he could not see a way out of the predicament for his family.
He had started indulging himself in alcohol, trying to drown out his sorrows, and began to lose his appetite, making him lose nearly 12 kilograms in a matter of months.
Suddenly, the door was opened, and a bright light fell on his face. He squinted his eyes, feeling uncomfortable with the sudden light. Enjoy new stories from empire
"Patriarch, someone from the Ottoman Empire has requested to meet you," an excited voice was heard.
Basheer suddenly widened his eyes. Despite them being irritated by the sudden light and tears dripping from them, the life that was not visible in those eyes, which had only moments ago looked dull like those of a doll, suddenly shone with intense brilliance, with emotions similar to a man close to death hanging onto anything possible for his dear life.
He knew that cooperating with the Ottoman Empire was like drinking poison to quench his thirst, but Basheer had no other option. If he did not drink the poison, he would die right away, but if he did drink the poison, at least there was a chance to live a few more days.
What do you think?
