Chapter 31: New Production
"Nice, it looks like something you can use," Lily said as she inspected the item Natalia picked up.
[Serpent Curse Wand]
-Grade: Uncommon.
-Attack: +10% potency to Control-type and Offense-type skills.
-Perk:
—> +3 Perception, +3 Focus.
-Effect(s):
—> Serpent Spell: Using 50 Mana, you can shoot an ethereal white serpent. If struck, it puts the target to sleep with a 50% chance while having a 100% chance of paralyzing for 2 seconds.
"This is great," Almond said as read the status. "It can paralyze boss monsters for a second, not to mention its usefulness against other silver-ranked Adventurers."
"Glad we triggered the drop here. This is indeed one of the better uncommon-grade drops on the first floor," Lily smiled. "And its perk is maxed. The maximum stats we can get from an uncommon grade is six if I remember correctly."
"Yep, it’s six. Rare grade has up to 50 based on its sub-grade, but mine duped on that one since low-class rare grade could have a maximum of 10 stats bonus," Almond wryly smiled. "But in exchange, I got all possible effects, so that’s good."
Preying Hunter’s Sword didn’t get any boost that increased the user’s stats—perks.
His common-grade staff also had a stat boost, though it was just +1 Mana stat (+10 Mana into the Mana pool)
"Anyway, this was a good find. Let’s continue," Natalia said with a jolly grin, clearly in a happy mood as she gave her common-grade wand to Lily, who put it in the storage pouch while she held a white wand with a crystal red-eyed serpent head at the top.
The chance of getting drops from normal monsters was utterly low. It was less than 1%, be it common-grade or uncommon-grade. It was the same for both since this rate was the rate of drop from a normal monster.
This rate increased by 5% every three days since the Floors would get powerful every three days, up to 21% on the last three days of the month.
The Elite Monsters would also spawn, a stronger version of the same monster like Elite Goblin Archer, Elite Bog Slither, and so on.
Those had an extra 10% chance on drops, but only one Elite monster of each kind would spawn in an area.
Naturally, their numbers would also double every three days, so the last three days of the Labyrinth were practically in Hell-Mode due to a massive increase in the number of monsters, not to mention how they would be 5% to 10% stronger every three days.
…
The party was walking and arrived at the end of the passage after walking for a hundred meters.
"Well, I guess this will be our new battlefield for some hours," Lily said as she looked at a large cavern with glowing plants, tall grass, trees, and less fog than the first area, but more variety of trees, plants, and other things.
[The Spirit Factory has successfully finished its production list.]
’Nice.’
"Let’s sit down for a bit," Almond said with a smug smile and sat down. "We just got twenty new items."
Lily and Natalia clearly appeared excited and sat down.
"Bring the stuff on the table, boss," Natalia rubbed her hands with anticipation while grinning. "Let’s see what you cooked this time."
Lily chuckled as she winked at Almond, "A scrumptious meal as always, for sure."
Almond had put fifteen spirits inside, resulting in fifteen items.
5 x Bog Slithers Spirits.
5 x Moonlight Wisps Spirits.
5 x Shimmering Fen Serpents Spirits.
"Here we go," Almond waved his hand as he spawned out the items.
5 x Bog Slither Arrows (Uncommon-grade)
3 x Moonlight Crystal (Uncommon-grade)
2 x Wispy Illusion Bombs—one-time use (Uncommon-grade)
2 x Shimmering Spine Spears (Uncommon-grade)
2 x Shimmering Serpent’s Fangs—one-time use (Uncommon-grade)
1 x Shimmering Trap—one-time use (Rare-grade)
"That last one," Lily was surprised. "Your spirit factory crafted a rare grade."
"I wonder what it does," Natalia blinked curiously as she looked at the five-inch radius thick ring with Shimmering Serpent’s scales shining as its material.
"Yeah, I was also surprised to see a rare grade one," Almond shared the item’s details with them.
[Shimmering Trap]
-Grade: Rare
-Type: one-time use
-Use:
—> Infuse 50 Mana in the ring to activate the ring and then put it anywhere you wish to set the trap. Anyone who steps on the ring or touches it will trigger the trap in 0.5 seconds.
-Effect(s):
—> Turns five-meter radius ground into deadly bog five meters deep that pulls the targets downward while covering the area with thick fog. Voice can’t travel out of the fog unless enhanced with Mana.
Reading the effects, the trio got chills.
It was deadly, alright!
Almond grinned and said:
"This is going to be useful. It doesn’t even look like a trap, but more like a dropped item or something."
"Let’s see other items," Lily moved her gaze to the arrows, her eyes sparkling. "Those seem very useful to me."
"Me too," Natalia said as she waved her Willowbee Crossbow.
Almond laughed.
"Yep, take a look."
Sharing the details, everyone looked at the new status window.
[Bog Slither Arrow]
-Grade: Uncommon
-Durability: [100/100]
-Attack: [50 + 100% of Mana infused converting to attack. (Max 100 Mana)]
-Effect(s):
—> Targets stuck by the arrow will get ensnared by vines from the ground, the number of vines depends on the Mana infused into the arrow—1 vine per 10 Mana infused.
-Note:
—> Using the arrow decreases its durability, and loss increases per Mana infused—10 Mana infused is a loss of 10 Durability, and using 100 Mana will destroy the arrow after it is hit.
—> You can repair the item’s durability by 100% using one Spirit.
"Another crazy item," Natalia muttered. "These arrows are so powerful."
"I can repair their durability as well," Almond chucked. "We have five, so split up yourselves."
"I’ll take two," Natalia said with a grin. "Lily, you got a quiver from Goblin Colony, right?"
"Yep," Lily nodded as she picked up the remaining three arrows and put them in her storage bag before taking out the quiver.
Willowbee Crossbow could generate an arrow using Mana, so she didn’t need a quiver until now.
"Check out this. It’s most useful in my opinion," Almond shared the details of the Moonlight Crystal.
[Moonlight Crystal]
-Grade: Uncommon
-Effect(s):
—> Infuse 10 Mana to activate the crystal, producing a bright light to illuminate an area. It also discovers monsters within a 10-meter radius and gives light up to a 50-meter radius. It remains active for 1 hour, and the crystal can stick to anything solid but drowns in water. Cooldown: 1 hour.
-Note: After the crystal activates, it becomes fragile and can be destroyed if struck by an attack of 25, be it physical or magical.
"This…is very useful, like very," Lily muttered, realizing this item’s potential. "As long as it’s not destroyed, we can use it."
"Crazy effect, damn. The illuminating items like magic torches and lamps in the market don’t even come close to this crystal’s effect," Natalia said in amazement.
"Yep. But even a level 1 bronze-ranked monster can destroy that crystal if it punches it," Almond wryly smiled. "So it’s safe to say that even shockwaves of stronger attack could accidentally destroy it, unless…"
Almond grinned and took out a Glassblaze Shield, "We protect it with another item. This shield can work, but we want something like a glass cube."
"Great idea," Lily’s eyes lit up. "Once we get out of the labyrinth, I’ll tell my father to commission a tough glass cube. We can put this crystal inside it and use it."
"Excellent," Almond smiled. "And for that, we shouldn’t use these crystals here. They are too fragile for now, so put them in your storage pouch."
After Lily put them inside her storage pouch, Almond shared the details of the Wispy Illusion Bomb.
[Wispy Illusion Bomb]
-Grade: Uncommon
-Type: One-time use.
