Chapter 582

Eruda was now panicking as well. From her subordinates, she had learned that demons were rampaging across their continent, resulting in numerous casualties.

The most shocking part was that one of their previous Wizard Kings, her grandfather, had been killed by the enemy's general.

She was filled with grief, but it would take her a long time to reach the continent.

Seeing her fellow Wizard King agree to become a slave to Dave, she couldn't help but think of asking for his help as well.

Her family was in danger, and if she didn't do anything to help them, their continent might perish.

She didn't understand why such powerful demons had suddenly appeared; previously, they had been able to repel the demon attacks.

But now, the enemies were so strong that thousands of wizards were being killed in just one attack.

"Lord Dave, help me too! My continent is being attacked!"

Eruda looked at Dave with pleading eyes and decided to act cute to win his favor.

Dave smiled and replied, "How about becoming my slave as well? I'll help you; how does that sound?"

He glanced at Eruda's charming figure, which made her blush at his boldness.

"I'll do anything if you help me. Anything."

She whispered in Dave's ear, her voice enchanting and quite tempting.

"Ho, anything, huh?"

Dave smiled and murmured to himself, You think I can be easily fooled by your seduction? n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

I am a good man and not easily swayed.

He then looked at her and whispered, "Anything, right?"

Eruda blushed shyly and nodded cutely.

"Deal!"

Without hesitation, Dave created a clone and executed the same process, teleporting Eruda to the Steel Continent.

....

The crowd, who had been afraid and panicking moments ago, was evacuated by the soldiers, leaving only a few individuals remaining in the arena.

Two Wizard Kings are still here, while the other contestants have also been evacuated.

Elder Koro is in the most pitiful state, still bound by Dave's chains and suffering mental trauma after witnessing his grandson being replaced by a demon, only to have his body devoured alive by Xegron.

He appears dull, unable to think clearly.

The Wizard King Loid, on the other hand, also looks miserable. Besides being attacked here, his kingdom's borders are being ravaged by an army of demons.

The demon who took over Konrad's body was so powerful that he couldn't do anything to fight against it.

Now, he senses another demon—perhaps on par with or slightly weaker than Konrad's demon—leading the army.

Facing such an enemy, he knows that, despite his best efforts, the outcome will likely be death.

Dave ponders, realizing that Harata might be the trigger to start the war. The demons are attacking every continent.

At first, he thought their only goal was to collect the keys to the ruins, but the fact that they're attacking all parts of this world suggests they have a bigger agenda.

Boom!

Suddenly, a massive explosion echoes from afar, and Loid's face pales as he realizes the demons have broken through their defenses and are now rampaging.

"King, a colossal demon destroyed our barrier. Our Wizard Knights can't hold on."

One of his subordinates appears, clearly panicked. The enemy is powerful, and though they've fought with all their might, it seems the demons are merely toying with them, taking down their defenses effortlessly.

Loid looks at Dave with a conflicted expression before kneeling in front of him, saying:

"Lord, I am willing to be your slave if you'll help me defend my continent."

Desperate, he recalls Dave's strength, having seen him easily repel the aura of a true dragon.

Though Dave might be arrogant and even a little mad, he's undeniably strong. Since other Wizard Kings have already submitted to him, Loid decides to do the same to protect his continent.

Wizard Kings swore to their ancestors to defend the continents they rule, and he refuses to see his continent destroyed under his rule.

If Dave hadn't been here, Harata might have killed everyone. The demons are in a league of their own.

...

"Oh? Do you want to be my slave, too? What about your title as Wizard King?"

Dave looks at Loid with a smile. Loid bows his head, replying:

"I once thought I had reached the pinnacle of power when I became a Wizard King, but today I realize how weak I am before true power."

He lowers his head to the ground, kowtowing.

"Please help me defend my continent, and I swear eternal loyalty to you."

As he speaks, he doesn't notice the black smoke appearing within his heart, sealing a binding deal with Dave.

Though they're unaware of it, betrayal is now impossible.

Dave smiles and says:

"Very well, let me show you how powerful I truly am."

Dave stretches his hands; it's been a long time since he's shown his full strength.

"Ha, let's test my new Chaotic Art."

Over time, Dave had developed a new chaotic art, observing and refining it. He already has the Chaotic Fist, a tyrannical skill he can use thrice a day.

Now, he has finally gained the inspiration to create a new art after studying the principles of aether.

He had discovered before that aether is a lesser form of chaos, and he believes this world is the opportunity that the Lake of Fate granted him.

That's why he needs the key, and he suspects that the ruins hold the answers he's seeking. He was not rushing and let Caryll and Hannah enjoy the battles.

But since the demons have disrupted his peace, he's now ready to get serious and end this.

He takes a drop of blood from the demons Xegron killed.

<CHAOTIC ART>

<BLOOD CURSE—ERADICATION>

The blood glows briefly before vanishing in front of Dave.

"Finished."

Dave claps his hands, seeming to have done nothing, yet everything grows eerily silent.

Loid and the others in the arena are confused until a loud, agonizing scream echoes from outside.

...

At the Blaze Continent border battlefield:

The rampaging demons suddenly weaken, collapsing to the ground as though suffering from a severe illness.

Some lie dead, while others struggle weakly, and soldiers quickly slay them as they're now unable to fight back.

The soldiers and wizards, once fighting with all their strength, are confused by this sudden turn of events.

Just moments ago, the demons were mercilessly strong. A light appeared above them, immobilizing the demons.

The light takes the form of a tall man, though his face remains unseen.

"A god! A god must have taken pity on us," one soldier exclaims, kneeling in reverence.

Others follow, convinced that a god has punished the demons.

Similar scenes unfold across other continents as well. Dave, who had sent clones to various regions, had killed numerous demons before activating the Blood Art.

His actions have led others to worship him, seeing him as a savior, even a god.

Meanwhile, Dave receives a report from Sarah that the Leaf Continent has been destroyed, its inhabitants massacred.

Demons have invaded the continent entirely due to Konrad's impostor, Harata.

The moment Harata arrived, the demons went on a rampage, slaughtering everyone within just 30 minutes.

Dave now understands why Koro seems lost, unable to act.

"Poor old man."

Dave feels a tinge of pity for Elder Koro, thinking it might be the terrible luck bestowed on him by Hannah.

"Such terrifying bad luck."
