Chapter 83: Sunny is His New Identity
Chapter 83: Sunny is His New Identity
"So all I need to do is just use the skill?" he muttered to himself before saying:
"Disguise."
"System alert: Player has used the disguise skill. Does the player want to determine the shape he wanted to have? Or does the player want the system to choose for him? Note: player can only change his figure inside the male category. If a player wants to change gender, he has to ask directly for that, and the cooldown time of the skill will be doubled."
"Hmm I just want my new self to be unrecognized by anyone."
"System alter: Player request is granted."
"System alert: The new form is processing. To finalize it, does the player want to use his current name? Or select a new name?"
Bloom was speechless, and when he thought about it, he realized how logical it was. If he met someone and attacked him or her, then his identity would be revealed through system alerts.
"Change it, let it be Sunny," he said, as he liked the name; Sunny Bloom.
"System alert: Player new form is completed. Player will change form in five, four, three, two, one."
The system then stopped counting down, and Bloom felt strange changes occurring to his body. He got much taller, with broad shoulders and bulging muscles. In contrast to the weak looking youngster, this mid twentieth man was much more intimidating.
He laughed, and amidst his laughing he touched his head, to find no hair there! He almost got choked when he realized that, and the next moment he started interrogating the system!
"Hey, system, I said different, not bald!"
""
The system totally ignored him, and after a couple of minutes he gritted his teeth and moved to hit the road. He was angry about this unfunny joke the system pulled, as he didn't like his new form at all!
If he saw himself in a mirror or at a reflection of a calm water surface, he wouldn't be this angry; the system made him a real handsome player. However he was all angry about the bald, which would become something major to thank the system for.
As for the gears, they were exactly the same, with nothing to change about. He didn't care much, as gears weren't the special and eye catchy, except for the cursed chest plate perhaps.
"Sigh, let's get the full use of this quest potential then," he muttered to himself as he instantly opened his character profile, went straight to his secret class quests before selecting another mission; kill the NPC quest.
"System alert: Player has chosen the kill NPC quest. You have one week to finish this quest."
"One week?! I will finish it in hours not days!" he closed the system windows and continued to walk forward.
Just as he walked for three hours, alternating between running and slow walking to replenish his stamina, he became so near the caravan that he could spot the distant cloud of dust it was making.
He estimated for the caravan to take one more hour to reach him, however he didn't hurry to move. After all, he was now standing in a place suited for an ambush.
This part of the road was the only place where the forest on the sides of the road to encroach over, leaving only a small area to pass. On the sides, some rocks and destroyed tree branches were scattered randomly, making the road seem quite desolate and hard to cross.
This segment stretched for one kilometer, and as he was going to face twenty five NPCs, he didn't have to face them as a group head on.
He could affect any NPC with his title, on condition he crossed swords with them. weapon wielders weren't the issue, or even the shield bearers, as the main problem remained in the light daughters and the staff holders; they both would be stationed either at the rear of the caravan, or in the middle of it.
For him, both options had similar percentages to happen, so it would be best to let the caravan stretch over this thin piece of road, before deciding how and where to attack it.
"I should get rid first of those nasty factions, then everything else would be easier," he muttered, as he glanced at the surrounding, and found a large rock to hide at. He gathered fallen leaves and broken branches from all over, scattered them around his hiding zone, before ducking and waiting.
"It would be nice if I have some ambushing skills," he shook his head, as if he had any nice ambushing skills, then this caravan mission would be a piece of cake.
He started to shake off these thoughts, trying to picture the way he would deal with this caravan. Twenty five NPCs weren't a small number if gathered, so he had to make sure that each swing of his sword would kill one.
"Light daughters and staff wielders first, then everyone else," he muttered. His gaze was attracted to the far distance, as the cloud of dust was moving slowly towards here. "What is taking them so long?!" he impatiently muttered, while opening his map for the tenth time already to make sure they didn't deviate off the road or stopped for a nap!
The caravan took roughly two hours to reach his location. When it approached from far, he spotted three wagons, led by horses, while the twenty five NPCS were all scattered around the wagons.
Each wagon was like a big cart, covered by a thick piece of light brown fabric, covering what lies underneath it.
When the caravan moved closer to this piece of the road, he was surprised to find all the NPCs' weapon wielders, with no other faction there! only two of them had horses riding on top of them, carrying heavy and strong looking shields, making him think of a cavalry class at once.
"Are they from the military?" he muttered, while the lack of other factions made this task much easier.
