Chapter 438 Trigger Point
I allowed the girls to continue talking before I intervened. Watching them tease each other and share their stories after years of being apart was quite enjoyable.
From them, I gathered that despite their unique abilities, they all led relatively tranquil lives, except for Sung Hei, who chose the path of a mega superstar.
"By the way, Mio," I inquired, curious about her piercing white eyes. I had a hunch it had something to do with her ability.
"Because I'm blind," she replied, stating it plainly.
"Wait, so you can't see anything?" I asked, a little bit surprised.
"I still see things, but it's totally different now. Time control messed with my vision, so everything looks like lines through my senses. But I've gotten used to it," she replied with genuine smile
"When did this happened?"
"I guess it was about three years ago," she answered.
"Can you come closer? I want to take a look at your eyes," I gestured for her to sit next to me, hoping I could somehow heal her.
I gently touched her eyes, concentrating all my various healing abilities to see if they would work. Focusing solely on her retina, I channeled the power, and after a few moments, her once-white pupils began to regain their natural black color.
"I-I can finally see," tears welled up in her eyes as she blinked in astonishment, taking in the faces of the others around her.
"You're all so beautiful, and..." her gaze returned to me, and she was taken aback by my appearance, stunned by how handsome I am.
"See, as long as you're under my protection, I'll always do my best to look out for you," I assured her, gently patting her head and smoothing down her hair.
"Thank you," she whispered softly, her voice choked with emotion, unable to find more words amidst her overwhelming feelings.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
As I glanced around, I noticed appreciative looks from everyone, their eyes reflecting newfound admiration
'It's too hard to be perfect,' I chuckled to myself, acknowledging my own flawlessness.

An hour later.
After our casual chat concluded, I asked for them to stay for a while for a meeting, including Alice.
Her ability to siphon energy and channel it to me would be a big help. This was precisely why I hadn't disclosed the truth to her yet—that I wasn't her true childhood sweetheart.
It was also a good thing that after waking up, she began to accept her alternate personality.
Now they shared the same body and could even communicate with each other, according to her.
"First, I want to tell you something important about Sung Hei," I began the conversation. They needed to know about her current condition before I could proceed with my plan.
"What about Sister Sung Hei?" Rei Mei asked, showing the most concern among the four.
"She's trapped inside a bad place, and in order to save her, I need your help," I omitted the part about the time wraiths because mentioning it might trigger another purge.
Alice voice rang out, filled with concern.
"Count me in," she declared, her eyes reflecting her resolve.
The other four exchanged nods, silently affirming their support .
"Good. I already have a plan in mind. We'll need to go outside Seoul for this to work," I replied, knowing that we had to go to a desolate island for the plan to start.
Everyone agreed, and we intended to head to that island first thing tomorrow.
However, a knock on the door suddenly echoed. I knew it was Kanon and Elaine, so I opened the door using my Telekinesis.
"Bad news, Darling," Elaine gasped for air as she handed me a tablet.
There was a video on it, and the moment it played out, I almost broke the tablet if not for my self-control.
The video showed that Shanghai had been totally destroyed.
It showed a city in ruins. Buildings were destroyed, smoke filled the air, and fires burned everywhere. Streets were cluttered with debris. It was shocking to see Shanghai, once lively and bustling, now reduced to rubble.
The most troubling part was the sky teeming with figures clad in black robes. They made no effort to conceal themselves as they brazenly wreaked havoc, destroying everything in their path.
It was as though they were determined to showcase their presence to the world, asserting their dominance and demanding that humanity submit to their destructive power.
"Those bastards!" I gritted my teeth and immediately accessed the internet.
As expected, no media outlet could conceal such a massive incident. The entire world was now watching this video.
It would come as a huge shock for ordinary humans to discover the existence of the Gifted, let alone a group of individuals whose sole purpose was destruction and killing.
And not just ordinary humans, but even those with access to powers would become more restless. The silent understanding between powerful organizations was shattered, creating a domino effect that would shake the foundations of the world.
Just reading all the reposts on every social media platform was enough to gauge the impact. The original video alone garnered 100 million views in just a few minutes.
"Darling, I received a report from Jeju Island. They want us to send our unit to China right away. The Zol Clan isn't targeting Cerebrum Bases; they're just destroying everything in a whim " Kanon added.
"What should we do ?" she hurriedly asked.
My mind raced as I contemplated the best course of action. The problem wasn't just the Zol Clan, but the aftermath of their actions.
"Nothing," I answered. I could go and take care of them now, but it would make me the target instead.
A person capable of annihilating the entire Zol Clan single-handedly was a bigger threat.
Me taking the front line was like using a nuclear bomb to stop an atomic bomb that threatened to destroy a city.
Even if I massacred everyone openly for the sake of peace, the world would only become more restless, because now they would be aware of an even bigger threat. Just my presence alone was enough to create chaos and fear.
So instead of acting as a dumb hero, I would seize this opportunity to pursue my own agenda while the world was preoccupied with dealing with the Zol Clan.
"For now, instruct everyone to remain in this building. Then, call all my girls from Jeju Island to return here," I ordered .
Just in case they attack Jeju Island, at least my girls would be safe in this building.
As for everyone else? Well, they better pray that the Zol clan isn't crazy enough , and expand their range of attack too fast.
