Neurolink System in the Modern World

Chapter 347 Out of Focused

"Welcome, Director Joon," a man in a white pilot uniform greeted me.

I had currently taken on the appearance of one of the representatives from Jeju Island.

As for the real Joon?

Well, let's just say he was currently enjoying his indefinite leave until further notice from me.

The decision to come to the Island was a tough one. My Mind Power was still restricted, and I hesitated to go without knowing much about it.

However, after gathering information from the representatives, I discovered that Zhang and those high ranked were actually in Shanghai, China. The strongest Gifted in Jeju Island were only ranked 30+.

As for Cerebrum Enhanced agents—humans who gained strength through drugs—they mostly occupied ranks 10 and above in the whole of Asia. So, it seemed like something I didn't have to worry too much about.

Besides, I wasn't planning to go there and unleash my inner Rambo on them. My carefully devised plan was sufficient to ensure a smooth infiltration and rescue my mother without resorting to force.

If luck was on my side, I might as well take over the whole place while I'm at it.

"Thank you," I replied with a friendly smile. This pilot was a close friend of Director Joon, so I played my part, acting like we've known each other for a long time.

"And who are they?" He looked behind me and saw three new faces—Bing Da, Changnim (Red hair), and Aiku. They were here to act as my escorts, and also because I received an order that they were needed in Jeju Island .

I tried asking for more information about it, but even the representatives didn't know much. This raised concerns, making me wonder if it was something dangerous or not.

I didn't really care about Changnim; they could turn the guy into a canned good or something, and I wouldn't even bat an eye.

But if they had ill intentions towards Aiku and Bing Da, then I had a plan B. I would find some dummies and reshape their faces to resemble them and fool everyone.

Now that I considered them my women, their status in life had been elevated to a new level. None of them were allowed to be hurt or die without my permission. Anyone crazy enough to hurt my girls were bound to experience an ugly death.

But for now, I better continue with my act.

"Just a bunch of expendables," I replied with a condescending voice. Gifteds at their rank were not highly respected, so it was only normal that I treated them like trash.

The pilot's countenance contorted into a sneer after hearing my rude remarks.

But I don't really blame him; humans, despite working with gifteds, were still wary of them.

The only reason they kept some Gifted on payroll was that they were somehow useful. I'm pretty sure that those who didn't have much use get their brains extracted and then fed to that Super Biological computer.

Do I blame humans for this ruthless behavior? Of course not.

This world operates on the concept of survival of the fittest. Much like they exploit gifteds for their own advantages, I also consider people as a means for gaining experience points (EXP). The only distinction lies in my impartiality—whether human or gifted, all are mere sacrifices for my own benefits.

"Do you have any other plans, or are we set to go?" he asked.

"Don't worry, everything is settled. I showed those people in the Seoul Branch who the real boss is," I laughed in a mocking tone.

The pilot laughed with me as we boarded the plane.

The plane was a private one, a mid-size jet capable of carrying up to 10 passengers. It was a Gulfstream G-150. Despite its small size, the interior was extravagant, featuring leather seats and even our own beautiful stewardess.

'Wow, Cerebrum really knows how to use government money,' I chuckled to myself, fully aware that this organization operated with government funds in exchange for keeping the country safe from Gifted.

No wonder they spared no expenses when I massacred my way through North Korea.

I had tarnished their reputation, and they likely ended up paying reparations to the North Korean Government for the damages caused.

The amusing part was that they ended up thinking they had killed me, oblivious to the fact that I was just toying with them.

'What a bunch of idiots. ' I chuckled to myself .

"Sir, do you want some wine?" A beautiful stewardess with blond hair and blue eyes approached me. She was very hot, and I could tell right away that she was American.

I couldn't help but let my eyes roam freely over her figure, absorbing every detail from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. She caught onto my subtle looks, and her gaze nervously shifted away, acknowledging that I had thoroughly checked her out.

Those long legs and curves are something Western women are very famous for. South Koreans have a thin body, which was cute and great, but Westerners have a more delicious-looking body.

My eyes also lingered longer on those two perfectly shaped melons, seamlessly complementing her slender and tall frame.

"Director, do you want some wine?" she asked again, her face slightly awkward.

"Wine? What wine?" I muttered to myself, realizing that I was so focused on her boobs that I had completely overlooked the bottle in her hands.

She was holding a Leroy Domaine d'Auvenay Les, a wine that costs around 12,000 USD.

How did I know the price? Well, it was one of the perks I discovered. Even though my Mind Computer was locked, I could still communicate with any device that has an operating system through touch.

Just now, I was holding my phone and was able to research this particular wine through the Internet.

I didn't even need to look at my phone to get the information; it passed directly through me. There were a lot of applications I could use with this new ability, but for now, being able to research things online with just a thought was quite convenient.

"Yeah, I want one," I replied and grabbed her hands instead of the wine.
