Monster Integration



I slightly turned and waved at five of them not far away from me.

I am not in front, that would be the woman and moustached man. Foxman is slightly behind and so are the two girls.

If they want. They could go in front of me, but they are playing a long game, like around a hundred people a few hundred meters behind me.

Four hours had passed since this second challenge began and it had been more interesting than the last challenge.

The energy is increasing its gravitational pressure with every step. That I had started to sweat from every part of my body.

There is not a single part from where I am sweating.

The thing is, the challenge hasn't become difficult yet. I am under tremendous strain, but not enough to make me give up every step.

That time will come soon. Till then, I will maintain the pace, I am walking in.

It will be interesting.

I hope these people will continue as they are right now. I still remember how difficult it had been to take every step, in the last 15% distance.

If these people remain near me. It wouldn't be as difficult, especially if some of them stayed in front of me.

I will have a zeal to surpass them.

A few minutes passed, and I heard the Foxman coming close to me before he appeared at my side.

"I heard, you were selling an excellent mead. Do you have anything left?" he asked.

"No, I sold it all," I replied, shaking my head.

"Come on, you have a bottle or two hidden somewhere?" he asked.

"I might," I replied after a moment of silence.

Currently, I do not, but the nineteenth batch is getting read. With the time dilation, it might be ready to consume by the time, I had got out.

"Good, I will buy it from you and even buy the things you get from here at a fair price," he said.

Wine was just an excuse. He wanted to make that offer, for the reward I would get. Especially that thing, which I might be able to get.

I didn't reply to his words other than smiling.

He didn't do anything either and kept walking in the silence.

The pressure of the energy increases, which makes even talking stressful.

Minutes passed by and I could see the struggle to appear on the faces of the people. Those few hundred meters behind, had started to fall behind slowly.

As for those around me. They are maintaining the pace.

Soon, five hours passed, and I could see, the visible struggle on the faces of the surrounding people.

They are struggling with every step. Thankfully, they are maintaining the pace, but the question is how long?

Even I am having a problem with the pace and that will exacerbate even further, in this last stretch.

I take step after step and things become difficult, that within a few minutes. The moustached man and the girl have started to slow down.

Soon, they were in the line with me, pushing themselves as I had started to push myself.

I smiled at them and looked back, and I could barely see anyone. The people who were only a

few hundred meters behind me started to disappear.

Even Foxman and the other two behind me have started to slow down.

A minute passed, and the mustached man and the girl had fallen behind me.

It didn't take them long to fall over a hundred meters behind me, and the distance between us kept increasing with every step I take.

They are trying mightily.

I had felt their physical energies roaring in their bodies as they pushed themselves.

I am also pushing myself. I had slowed down; the pressure from the energy was so great. It had slowed me down despite trying.

Like them, I too am struggling.

However, I can last two and a half minutes more compared to the Soul Sea, when I finally slowed down.

It could be likely, because of the practice, I had in the last challenge or because of the method. Which is different than the soul method or the most vital method.

It is divided into parts and there is no breakthrough in it.

I just need to circulate it in my body. I think it was a wise choice, seeing how it dealt with the changes in my body.

This energy, too, is powerful enough to deal with the changes.

It made me relieved, and I tried to circulate it as fast as I could, taking as much energy as possible as I took one step after another.

Minutes passed, and it had become a struggle to take every step.

There was no one around me, and I didn't dare to look back. It would be a waste of energy and effort.

I do not have those extra when I need to push my leg with every bit of will I have.

It is a struggle every moment. Struggling against those sweet thoughts that want me to give

up and let the sweet embrace take me.

I pushed those thoughts into every second as I took one step after another.

Time passed by when I saw the scenery in front of me change. I saw the end. It is far and

blurry, but it is the end.

Unlike the challenge of the soul, where nothing could be seen. Here everything is visible, and it became more visible with every step I take toward it.

The end had filled my body with a newfound energy and I started to move toward it faster

with every step.

It is hard, but I am moving, because I know that once I crossed that thin green line. I would be out of this challenge and free to sleep.

It is the only thing I want to do and for it, I pushed myself every step of my will.

It got closer and closer before finally it was only a step away and the step I crossed.

Making all the pressure disappear immediately.
