Chapter 1275 Surprises and Offers
Chapter 1275 Surprises and Offers
"Definitely easier than I thought it would be."
Whoosh!
Appearing at the entrance to the Cave of Beginnings once more, Valyr had an amused smile on his face as he made his way to a nearby spot that wasn't occupied by any of the other groups.
"Then again, that should've been expected with how much stronger I am compared to them," muttered the young man to himself soon after, letting out a bit of laughter as he recalled his fight against the super-boss.
From the classification that had been given to it, the super-boss did not disappoint Valyr at all. Compared to the ogre, it was at least thrice as strong when it came to its stats. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Even the level of ferocity it showed was far greater than the ogre, considering that both its appearance and the weapon it wielded were just larger versions of it.
However, although many players at the difficulty's recommended level would think that fighting against such a super-boss was nigh-impossible, Valyr merely thought of the super-boss as a Rank 1 monster that was slightly stronger than usual.
With that, it only took an incantation and a few direct shots to the head for the super-boss of the Cave of Beginnings' Easy difficulty to succumb just like the ogre did.
"Although the super-boss did drop better loot, none of them are really of any use to me," said Valyr to himself as he took a look at his spatial bracelet, briefly glancing at the rough dark shorts that was placed beside the replica of the ogre's broadsword.
"However, that doesn't mean all of the drops I got aren't useful in other ways," he continued with a slight chuckle, shifting his gaze towards the old skill book to the left of the dark shorts.
"[Analysis]."

'Although fusing with my past self allowed me to recall the memories I had from my life as a player with even greater clarity, I'm surprised I didn't know that this skill dropped from the Easy difficulty's super-boss,' inwardly muttered Valyr to himself with a slightly wry smile.
Though, as he thought about it for a bit more, it eventually made sense to him as to why he had no clue that the skill would drop from the dungeon's easiest super-boss.
After all, by the time the existence of super-bosses in dungeons had become known within Greater Beyond, Valyr was already at a level that allowed him to clear dungeons that were far harder than the Cave of Beginnings on his own.
Aside from that, most people looked at the super-bosses are an easter egg of sorts, considering that almost all of these super-bosses were nigh-impossible to beat at the level the dungeon recommended them to be at.
Fortunately, that mindset all changed once a group of players showed the drops they got from the super-bosses.
And once that spread out to the public, all hell pretty much broke loose.
'Even Pandora's Crafts wasn't spared from the frenzy brought about by the super-bosses,' thought Valyr with a slight chuckle, briefly recalling good memories with his guild.
'For two weeks straight, almost all of the members in the guild wanted the drops from the super-boss in the dungeon we were tackling, even going so far as to enlist the help of a few other guilds just to make it happen.'
'A shame I don't have a record of the super-boss drops from the earlier dungeons, though,' he continued, glancing at the skill book for a bit more before closing both the spatial bracelet and the screen he brought up.
'At least I now know that these drops are worth the effort spent in killing them.'
'Now that I think about it, I could probably give the skill book to Thomas once he logs back in. Considering how he distributed his stats, I'm pretty sure he plans on being a warrior or picking up a class that's somewhat similar.'
'Even if he picks a DPS class that focuses on melee damage, [Channeled Taunt] alone would make him a tank quite a few would search for. After all, as far as I know, the other areas where the skill drops are quite hard to traverse.'
"Um… I apologize if we're bothering you." Just as Valyr was about to continue planning his next steps through his current train of thought, a small group of people appeared in front of him. "But could you spare us a bit of your time to talk?"
"Hmm?" Realizing that a group had appeared at his spot, the young man did not take long to snap back to reality as he briefly recalled what they told him. "Er… sure, I guess?"
"I promise we won't take up much of your time," replied the man at the front as he let out a faint sigh of relief.
Placing one of his fists onto his chestplate, the man continued, "Though, before we talk about that, let me introduce myself first."
"The name is SeventhShield." He looked at the young man with a kind smile before turning to look at his friends. "And these are my friends."
"Ataraxia," said Valyr as he nodded back. "I go by Ataraxia." "Now, can I ask why you guys approached me all of a sudden?"
"Well… I don't really know how to make this not sound bad, but our group noticed that you entered the Cave of Beginnings earlier on your own," said SeventhShield as he awkwardly scratched his cheek. "Considering that those who enter the dungeon on their own are either confident in their own strength or just straight-up foolish, we decided to take a little bit of a gamble this time around."
"With that in mind, we wanted to ask if it was possible for you to join our party for one dungeon run?"
"A dungeon run?" Valyr's eyebrow raised in slight interest. "What difficulty are you guys planning to clear, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Insane," replied SeventhShield, his friends faintly nodding in agreement. "Of course, we're not forcing you to accept. You're always free to reject our offer." "After all, even we aren't confident enough to scale the dungeon's Insane difficulty even at our current level of strength. We wouldn't be asking you if we were."
"Well…" Scratching the back of his head for a bit, Valyr soon looked back at them with a wry smile on his face. "I don't mind joining you guys for one run…"
"But how would I enter the dungeon's Insane difficulty if I'm only Level 10?"
