Chapter 1250 The Final Lesson

Chapter 1250  The Final Lesson

Mulling over the thoughts popping up in his mind for a bit, Valyr eventually looked back at Juno as he asked him, "Remind me… when did I send you the message to come here again?"

"A few hours ago," said Juno in response, the young man's earlier words causing him greater confusion. "Are you feeling unwell or something? Did your personal task unintentionally make you misread the time?"

"Perhaps," replied Valyr in a mutter, the gears in his mind whirring on overdrive as he glanced at where the sun was from time to time. "Honestly, I still haven't gotten a wink of sleep after I was done with it."

"…You shouldn't have asked me to come here, then." Hearing those words, the confusion Juno felt was immediately replaced with concern. "As a fellow blacksmith, I know there are days where we forgo sleep for the sake of the craft, but you should really take a rest when you have the opportunity to do so."

"I…" Just as he was about to give a perfunctory reply to his concerns, Valyr felt as if he'd finally figured out what was going on, prompting him to look at Juno with a slight smile. "…Will do that later."

"After all, I didn't ask you to come to the shop for no reason." He chuckled, the gears in his mind continuing to turn as he adjusted his plan accordingly.

At the same time, he thought about the conclusion he arrived at regarding his current situation. 'I thought there was something amiss back when I talked to Mystia, but this pretty much confirms it.'

'The entire day has been reset.'

After hearing from Mystia that only a week or so had passed in the Mystic Plane while he'd been away, Valyr immediately found those words slightly odd, considering the fact that he spent the equivalent of an entire day in Veldanyr back on Earth.

With that, it would've been more apt for her to say that almost two weeks had passed over a bit over two weeks had passed since the last time he appeared in the Mystic Plane.

Yet, for some reason, she did not.

Of course, with the fact that he was there for her elixirs, Valyr did not pursue the peculiarity any further.

Though, as if he was fated to take notice of it one way or another, Juno appeared beside the closed Forge of Beginnings, telling him about the message he sent him that would have technically been sent over a day ago by now.

With those two things as his basis, the young man pushed all of his stats to their utmost limits as he focused his attention on his current surroundings, prompting him to eventually come to the realization that the entire day had been reset.

Specifically, the day where he and his past self interacted with one another.

'And here I thought the two would only do a few things here and there during the maintenance to return things back to how they were before,' thought Valyr to himself, taking note of Juno's curious look at him.

'Yet, to think that they actually brought the timeline back to the time before that fateful meeting unfolded…'

'I guess that would be the move to make, considering the power they wield as Administrators. Then again, it probably has something to do with the laws of time paradox that caused me to end up in my current situation.' '…On second thought, it's highly likely… or mostly certain.'

'Well… at least they didn't bring the timeline back to the point where Riekan and I were still fighting against the Vessel of Envy,' inwardly muttered the young man to himself with a slightly wry smile, only to shift his focus back to the man in front of him.

"So, why did you ask me to come here so early?" Seeing that Valyr was finally finished pondering over what he had in mind, Juno took the opportunity to ask him the question that had been bugging him since he arrived.

"Well, I was actually planning to give you an offer you probably wouldn't resist," replied the young man with a smile. "Though, with how long I've taken to come here, I probably defeated the purpose of you coming here early."

"Were you planning to teach me the art of blacksmithing?" asked Juno after giving it a bit of thought.

"I was planning to teach you either way, but I was hoping I could teach you for a bit longer," said Valyr, only for his smile to soon turn bittersweet.

"After all, this might be the last time I'd be able to teach you."

"…What do you mean by that?" Unsurprisingly, the man's eyes widened at those words, the gears in his mind swiftly turning as he continued to look at Valyr in slight confusion.

"Wait…" Then again, it did not take long for him to come up with an answer, prompting the confusion on his face to be replaced with slight sadness. "Are you… leaving?"

At those words, Valyr merely gave him an apologetic smile as he opened the shop.

Seeing that the young man was making his way to where the workshop was, Juno took in a deep breath to quell the various thoughts lingering in his mind at that moment, only to follow behind him not long after.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Taking out the Hammer of Beginnings from his spatial bracelet, Valyr went ahead and took out a few more forging hammers from it before willing a few pairs of translucent arms to appear behind his back. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Infusing them with all of the Prime Azure Energy they could ask for, the young man then willed half of them to grab the forging hammers he brought out, only for him to then will the remaining half to start the furnace.

"Just a bit of warm-up," said Valyr to Juno, giving the furnace all the time it needed to swiftly come up to temperature before chucking in a bunch of materials into it.

Then, with the experience he accumulated after doing it over thousands of times at this point, the young man then proceeded to forge piece after piece of equipment with the help of his translucent arms, with all pairs moving as if they were doing an interpretative dance.

Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!

Although Valyr's forging skills increased the amount of time he took to forge an item in exchange for greater quality, each piece of equipment he forged only took him 15 minutes at most due to how simple the pieces were.

Nevertheless, each piece still contained a great amount of power, a testament of the time and effort Valyr had put in to bettering his craft as a blacksmith.

"Alright. I think I'm ready." As these words left Valyr's mouth, Juno took notice that the young man had forged what looked to be an armor set, as well as a weapon made for a mage.

Not thinking too much about it, he then watched as Valyr stowed all of those items into his spatial bracelet before looking at him with a slight grin.

"Now then…"

"Shall we start our final lesson?"
