Yet this time, it was square and the size was normal but smaller than before as the plant was only an index finger size.

The time taken was only five minutes and all of the people inside the shelter looked at the skill in effect with satisfaction.

"Hmm... its not what I expected... but alright..." Lucas spoke and careful placed all of the ingredients in a small leather piece he extracted from the big Basilon's body.

Satisfied with the result, Lucas secured the small leather piece and joined the others within the shelter. They observed the completion of the skill activation with a sense of accomplishment and contentment. The light that had enveloped the plant faded away, leaving behind the fallen components and the newly acquired Regditas seeds.

Lucas had dissected all four plants that he brought with him.

He was pleased with the successful dissection and the obtained byproducts. It was a rewarding outcome, as they now possessed both the essential parts of the plant and a means to cultivate more Regditas plants in the future.

Lucas turned his attention to Haley, grateful for her suggestion and assistance in uncovering this opportunity. "Thank you, Haley," he expressed, a hint of appreciation in his voice. "I would have just dissected it slowly on my own if you hadn't told me. It seems we've discovered a valuable resource."

Lucas now had the need to have the equipment and till then, he just continued practicing his skills.

His punch skill was at 33% proficiency and so, he would be able to reach level 2 for it. His shelter upgrades were being taken care of by the others while he practiced all the skills that he had one by one.

Finally, after 5 hours, he was done with all his training especially herbalism which was at 28% proficiency. Lucas wanted to make one more level up for the skill in some days but it didn't seem possible with the little time he was giving to his training these few days.

When he was done, he sat on the camp and waited for the food to be made. This time, Haley was the one who was going for the cooking, she had activated her cooking skill for the first time without letting anyone know about it.

Her cooking skills were at a low level but she could still provide with different buffs and the smoked meat was getting prepared by her from scratch after learning the procedure from John wholeheartedly.

As Haley continued with her cooking, Lucas took a moment to reflect on their journey so far. It was difficult and one hell of a drive but still, they were getting better and becoming an evolved human with each passing moment and level ups.

Lucas looked around at his comrades, both new and old, and felt grateful for such a diverse group with many different yet unique skills.

He could only marvel at the thought of what would happen when each of their skills would reach a very high level. Many of the skills were very useful like the 'Runesmithing', the 'Mystic item preserver', the 'cooking', and many more which had many different paths and endless potential to support the group and especially, the shelter.

As the aroma of the cooking smoked meat grew stronger, Lucas's stomach rumbled in anticipation. Everything about the aroma of the smoked meat was different than when John and the others made it.

Finally, when she was done, everyone got two pieces of meat in front of them. The color of the meat had gone red dark but it was still red which gave off the vibe of a medium rare cooked meat.

Lucas couldn't wait and took a bite of the meat. The flavor of the smoke burst inside his mouth giving off a strong impact.

Lucas couldn't believe that the good smoked meat that he had been eating for such a long time could get this better with the change of the cook.

"How is it? I used my skill to make it." Haley asked with a calm face yet deep down she felt panic as it was the first time she had cooked something like this.

Lucas looked up at Haley, his eyes wide with astonishment. "This is incredible!" he exclaimed, a mixture of delight and surprise in his voice. "The flavor is amazing, and the buff effect... It's like a bonus on top of a delicious meal."

The rest of the group followed suit, tasting the smoked meat and experiencing the buffs. They exchanged impressed glances, each appreciating the improvement in both taste and the added benefit.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"What is the buff?" Haley asked with red cheeks, all the prices had made her feel very shy all of a sudden.

"I got +2 in Mana."

"Me too"

"I got +1 in stamina."

"I got +2 in strength."
