Chapter 94: Chapter 94 - Outfitting for Battle

Broken logged back into the game and soon found himself standing on a small, floating, grassy island.

Taking a few steps closer to the center of the island, he noticed that the large rock in front of him seemed to be vibrating ominously.

"You can't wait to fight me, huh?" he muttered under his breath.

"Polly?" he called out, and, as if on cue, an adorable fox with three tails appeared nearby. A smile spread across his face as he looked at her.

Broken then sat down on the ground and gently scooped up the little fox, holding her in his arms and gazing into her eyes.

"Hey, Polly, listen to me. I need your help to fight the monster inside the rock, but you don't need to force yourself. We'll do as much as we can. And for that reason, I want to feed you a Monster Soul Stone."

The little fox remained quiet, though her face betrayed her desperate desire for the Monster Soul Stone.

"Master, you don't need to ask for my permission," she said. "I'll always fight by your side no matter the circumstances."

Broken nodded slowly. "Now, which one do you prefer? The Wild Boar Level 85, or the Feral Panther Level 140?" At the moment, these were the only Monster Soul Stones he had in his inventory.

Polly was taken aback by his question. "Master, I'm fine with the Wild Boar," she said softly. Broken paused for a moment. "This won't make your cute form resemble a boar, will it?"

Polly quickly shook her head. "No, Master... I'll still be a fox..."

Broken shook his head thoughtfully, contemplating the question. "You do absorb something from the food you consume, right? Which monster do you think would benefit your growth the most? The Wild Boar or the Feral Panther?"

Polly paused for a moment, seemingly lost in thought, unsure of how to respond.

"Master, I am uncertain about the outcome of the transformation, but I feel that the fighting style of the Feral Panther suits me better. I believe the Feral Panther would be the best choice," Polly finally replied in a soft voice. "But..."

"Alright then," Broken said, his expression softening into a smile. "It's settled- the Feral Panther soul stone will be your nourishment." He continued with a cheerful tone, "The stronger you become, the better you can contribute to our efforts, Polly, so I see no downside here."

With that, Broken carefully set Polly down and promptly retrieved an Elite - Feral Panther Monster Soul Stone Level 140 from his inventory.

"Don't worry, Polly," he reassured her gently. "We can always find more resources like this. But if we fail this challenge, the losses could be far greater. So, take this, and don't stress about it. Let's give it our best and enjoy the battle ahead."

He handed the stone to her, and soon Polly began to consume it. A joyous expression crossed Broken's face as the stone's light enveloped her, triggering a remarkable transformation.

Every feature of her body became even more striking. An additional tail sprouted, accentuating her already fluffy rump. Her fur glimmered with life and vitality, illuminated by the warm light emanating from her fur.

[Congratulations, Broken! Polly has successfully evolved to her higher form. Now she can fight and support even better in battle!]

[As a reward for such a great achievement, you have been granted 20 stat points!]

[Congratulations and good luck! Now go out there and show 'em who's boss!]

"Nice..." Broken murmured, filled with immense satisfaction at the changes Polly had undergone.

Polly turned to face him, speaking in a gentle tone, "Thank you so much, Master!"

"Okay, Polly, let's see what new skills you have now!" Broken said excitedly, eager to witness her newfound abilities in action.

[Name: Polly]

[Grade: Unique]

[Level: 123]

[Race: Nine-Tailed Fox]

[Skills - 3]

[Shadow Clone Technique: Allows the user to create up to 5 illusions of themselves. These illusions have 30% of the user's attack and 50% of the user's health, making them a

formidable force in any battle.

Time is of the essence when using this technique, as the illusions will dissipate after a certain amount of time. Make sure to use this technique to your advantage and quickly overwhelm your opponents before the clones fade away!

Mana Cost: 950

Duration: 30 Seconds

Cooldown: 45 Seconds]

[Incredible Spell Immunity: Grants the user 90% immunity to all incoming magical damage, making them virtually untouchable. With this power, they will be able to survive in the most hazardous of magical environments and have the edge in any magical battle.

Duration: 20 Seconds

Cooldown: 30 Seconds]

[Stunning Strike: Allows the user to deliver powerful blows and hit their target with 280% of physical attack. It also allows them to apply mini stunts of 0.2 seconds to their opponents, giving them the edge they need to gain the upper hand in any match.

Mana Cost: 350

Cooldown: 10 Seconds]

Polly had gained quite a few levels, far beyond what Broken remembered from her early 100s.

"And then," he concluded slowly after carefully reading the details of her three new skills, "the Clone skill has been upgraded. Now you can create five clones instead of four, with a shorter cooldown period and a higher portion of health. This way, you can really be a force to be reckoned with battle."

Polly seemed pleased with his praise, her four tails waving in a show of delight.

"And second," Broken continued, "Incredible Spell Immunity. I'm not entirely sure if this is an upgrade or not, but previously, you had a passive 60% resistance to magic damage. Now, you have a 90% immunity to magic damage for 20 seconds with a 30-second cooldown."

This change could be seen as either a nerf or a buff, but he felt it could be an invaluable asset for Polly in emergency situations.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"I think that's great, considering your agility! You can try to dodge attacks, but if you can't, at least you have 90% magic immunity. That's an incredibly high value!"

He then reviewed the third skill. "Ah, the third skill," he said. "It seems incredibly useful in battle. While you're in clone mode, all of your clones will inflict mini stuns on your opponents, giving us a greater advantage in dealing more damage."

He was truly convinced that his Unique-grade Spirit had remarkable potential.

"Just think," he said, his face lighting up with enthusiasm, "how great it would be if I had three Unique Spirits like you, or even if I could evolve you to the Legendary-grade level!"

He nodded his head in agreement.

"Anyway," he went on, "let me see your stats."

[Name: Polly

Level: 123

Race: Nine-Tailed Fox

Health: 2,220 Mana: 2,280

Strength: 300 Agility: 470 Intelligence: 190 Constitution: 222 Stamina: 215]

Broken swallowed hard as he reviewed Polly's overall stats. "You're certainly a lot stronger

than me if we just look at the stats," he said with admiration.

"Master..." Polly replied softly. "I'll devote my life to you, so my strength is your strength

too."

Broken reached out and gently ran his hand through her fur. "Thank you, Polly."

"Alright then. Let's allocate some of the available stat points I have."

[Name: Broken

Level: 50

Classes: Super Novice | Royal Blacksmith

Health: 1,980 Mana: 1,668

Strength: 340 Agility: 139 Intelligence: 144 Constitution: 148 Stamina: 150

Charisma: 50 Luck: 25 Dexterity: 40 Survival: 20

Available Stat Points: 75

Weight: 1460/2040]

He paused, weighing his options carefully. "I need more Mana to take full advantage of all the

skills I have. The abilities I'm using are more advanced than I anticipated, so I need to increase my Intelligence stat, even if I would rather not rely heavily on this stat. Unfortunately, I don't have much choice," he reasoned.

After a moment of contemplation, he nodded in agreement with himself. "Alright, let's go

with this plan."

He systematically allocated his available stat points:

[Spend 25 Stat Points into Agility]

[Spend 50 Stat Points into Intelligence]

"Yep..." he concluded, feeling satisfied with his decisions. "Because I'm going to combine

using a Sword and a Bow, I need more Agility than before to be effective in both roles."

He then carefully reviewed his new stats. "Let's see the result."

[Health: 1,980 Mana: 2,268 Strength: 340 Agility: 164 Intelligence: 194 Constitution: 148 Stamina: 150]

After a moment of examination, he nodded approvingly. "Okay, I'm quite satisfied with the

result."

Turning his attention back to Polly, who was eagerly waiting for him, he declared, "Now, we are ready for the battle. Let's go!"
