Chapter 251: Chapter 251 - Spare My Life, MEOW!
Chapter 251: Chapter 251 - Spare My Life, MEOW!
Broken summoned Gaia, her ethereal form hovering behind him, emanating a vibrant green aura. Broken himself was enveloped in a combination of ocean-blue and green auras, the result of the Wavebreaker Spear's Oceanic Blessing and Gaia's Nature Healing.
Alora glanced at Broken and smiled. "I'm truly speechless," she said. "You've been granted with so many blessings, huh? It makes me envious."
"Thanks for the compliment, Princess," Broken replied enthusiastically. "But it's ironic to hear the word 'envy' coming from someone like you."
He unleashed every skill he had stored in the spear. Waves of oceanic energy swept across the arena, torrents of spears rained down from the sky, and a wild boar made of water charged forward, creating chaos upon exploding.
Broken also summoned Dendros, who dashed across the battlefield wielding Moonvine Knuckles, while Polly and her clones darted in tandem, adding to the fray.
[Nature Conjuring (Active Skill)]
Next, Broken invoked twelve plant-type creatures, which immediately filled the battlefield and clashed with the demons attacking from all sides.
He spun his spear and slammed it into the ground. The impact split the floor, sending a fissure snaking its way forward, striking dozens of demons in its path. Their numbers had swelled, making the scene even more chaotic.
[Groundbreaker (Active Skill) Lv. 6]
Now, the skill dealt area damage of 1050%, and the effect was exponentially more devastating than before. Broken could feel the immense impact from the skill level boost he had just received. This dramatic enhancement was changing the battle significantly, tilting the scales in their favor.
Broken and Alora fought with newfound freedom, thanks to the continuous regeneration provided by Nature Healing. The constant healing allowed Broken to endure hits and keep going, while Alora darted across the battlefield with remarkable agility, her sword strikes swift and precise. Each of them cleaved through the approaching demons with unerring accuracy.
They maintained a strategic distance, covering each other's blind spots and warding off demons from two directions. Occasionally, their eyes would meet in brief, understanding glances, showing just how much they were enjoying this climactic battle. This final wave stood in stark contrast to the earlier struggles they had endured.
At one point, Broken decapitated a demon about to attack Alora from behind, just as she severed the head of another demon lunging at Broken. Their synchronized strikes were flawless, the two of them moving in perfect harmony as they cut down their foes. Clearly, they relished this battle.
Broken spun his spear, parrying the attacks of five demons simultaneously. Activating the Spear Guard, he unleashed a powerful defensive move that sent the five demons tumbling backward, crashing into others and losing their lives in the process.
Focused on eliminating the demon minions first, they moved with incredible speed and efficiency. One by one, the lesser demons fell under their relentless assault. Finally, with a swift slash, Broken dispatched the last remaining minion. The battlefield grew noticeably quieter, the screams and roars of the fallen demons fading away.
Now, only one enemy remained: the final boss, Duke Flauros.
Flauros let out a deafening roar, the chilling sound of a cat's cry reverberating through the arena and shaking its very foundation. "You've stepped too far into my domain, and now I'll show you the true extent of my power, for I am the one who will lead the demons in the future!" he bellowed.
Hundreds of shadow tendrils erupted from all corners of the arena, writhing and darting toward everything that remained on the battlefield. Yet, Broken had his own arsenal. Ten massive vine arms emerged from the ground, thrashing wildly towards Flauros. The cat demon, however, darted around with his large form, intermittently transforming into shadows and reappearing elsewhere, evading the vine attacks.
All of Broken's summons converged their assaults on the same target. Flauros shifted into a defensive mode, constantly dodging and reappearing as a shadow, making him an elusive quarry. It was a relentless game of cat and mouse, but in this case, the cat was the prey. Broken and his allies pressed the attack, but Flauros continually slipped away.
Seizing an opening, Broken activated his dash skill, positioning himself precisely where Flauros was about to reappear. With a skillful spin of his spear, he struck the demon squarely, feeling the satisfying impact of his weapon meeting flesh. It was a clear hit!
Flauros let out a hiss of pain but quickly poofed into shadow form again, emerging at another spot in the arena. This time, however, the movement of the shadow tendrils began to slow. The earlier ferocity and speed waned, hinting that the demon was depleting his strength. Sensing the shift in momentum, Broken gripped his spear tighter, determination etching his features. The relentless onslaught had taken its toll on Flauros; his energy was waning. Flauros materialized at another point in the arena, but Dendros was already there, unleashing a flurry of powerful punches. It was another massive hit, and the cat demon let out a piercing "Meow" before disappearing once more.
When Flauros reappeared elsewhere, Alora was swift to pursue, delivering a crushing blow with her sword. The strike was so forceful that it left a deep gouge in the arena wall. Flauros frantically dashed away and reappeared at another point in the arena, clearly panicking. "Who brought you here?" Broken shouted amidst the chaos of battle.
"Shut up! Don't think you can interrogate me, MEOW!" Flauros retorted angrily.
"You're about to lose and be destroyed. You'd do well to share with us who brought you here," Broken pressed on.
"What do you think I am? I did everything by my own choice! I am the great Felhorn, Duke Flauros, the Named Demon ranked 64! Don't even dream of defeating me-it's impossible, MEOW!" Flauros bellowed defiantly.
Broken tightened his grip on his spear, his determination unshaken. "Your bravado won't save you now. You're weakening, and your shadows can't protect you forever."
Flauros roared fiercely within the arena, and suddenly, he appeared behind Broken, ready to launch a fatal attack with a savage leap. "I'm the great Duke Flauros, and I will kill both of you now, MEOW!" he declared menacingly.
Broken turned around just as the cat demon was about to engulf him, but before Flauros could strike, a series of powerful slashes erupted behind the demon. In the next moment, the cat's body split into multiple pieces. Emerging from behind the dismembered demon was Alora, clad in her striking red armor, her sword gleaming with deadly precision.
Had they defeated Flauros? Broken couldn't afford to take chances. He prepared to launch another attack at anything in his path.
But before he could move, another poof of shadow occurred, and the smaller form of Flauros appeared, floating in the air, losing balance as he tumbled toward the ground. The shadow tendrils around the arena also began to weaken and dissipate.
"Broken!" Alora shouted, signaling him to finish the demon.
"No, don't do it! Spare my life, please, MEOW!" Flauros pleaded.
Broken allowed himself a brief smile before thrusting his spear towards the demon. The tip of the spear pierced the small, horned cat's body. But it seemed this was not enough to end the
battle.
"Spare my life, MEOW!" Flauros screamed again, his voice loud and agonized.
Showing no mercy, Broken twisted the spear and delivered another devastating slice,
ensuring the demon's body was utterly destroyed. As Flauros disintegrated, all shadown/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

[Congratulations! You have completed The Abyssal Arena - Trial Domain Level 200]
They won! They had truly, undeniably won!
Broken felt the surge of victory coursing through his veins with an intensity like never before. As he turned to Alora, her face lit up with the same relief and joy, a radiant smile breaking across her features. Without a second thought, they both ran toward each other, driven by the shared elation of their hard-fought triumph. They embraced, reveling in the happiness they
wanted to share so deeply.
However, hugging while wearing armor proved cumbersome and uncomfortable. Realizing this, they stepped back and gazed into each other's eyes, the joy of victory still palpable.
"We did it!" Broken shouted.
"We really did," Alora echoed, just as excited.
For a brief moment, they just stood there, a charged silence hanging between them, filled with emotions they didn't need to speak. Broken felt an irresistible urge to show how happy he was. He leaned in closer to Alora, their faces just inches apart.
Alora froze for a second, and Broken pressed his lips to hers. It was natural, without any hesitation, a simple expression of their shared triumph and feelings. They stayed like that, savoring the connection they had worked so hard to build and protect.
This was their moment of triumph, a victory they felt deep within, and they were overjoyed by it. They remained in their embrace for several moments, allowing the happiness to wash over
them.
