Chapter 235: Chapter 235 - Setting Sail with the Crowned Princess
Chapter 235: Chapter 235 - Setting Sail with the Crowned Princess
Back at the Yunatea, the morning air was fresh and cool. Broken stood at attention on the palace grounds, his Invincible Paragon armor gleaming in the early light. Pride filled him as the sun's rays danced off his polished suit.
Today marked the beginning of Princess Alora's grand expedition, and he had made it a point to get there early, determined to make sure everything was set before they began their journey.
Taking a moment, he checked his overall stats one last time.
[Name: Broken]
[Level: 115]
[Class: Unique - Super Novice | Unique - Royal Blacksmith]
[Health: 11,580 | Mana: 4,988]
[Strength: 695 | Agility: 324 | Intelligence: 349 | Constitution: 258 | Stamina: 500] [Charisma: 100 | Luck: 35 | Dexterity: 50 | Survival: 30 | Perception: 20]
[Available Stat Points: 0]
[Weight: 3,619/4,170]n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
He had allocated all his available stat points and felt a sense of satisfaction as he noted his health had skyrocketed to nearly four times its previous value, courtesy of his Invincible Paragon set. This armor truly transformed him into a formidable tanker, ready to stand at the forefront of any battle.
However, an issue still gnawed at him. Despite pouring every stat point he had into Strength, it wasn't enough. When he equipped his Moonvine Knuckle or Wavebreaker Spears, his weight capacity was still exceeded.
He checked his weight capacity again while holding the Wavebreaker Spear and sighed.
[Weight: 5,199/4,770]
"With my current stats, my movement speed is going to take a hit," he muttered.
Unfortunately, the penalty was system-imposed and couldn't be counteracted by the skills of his shoes.
He needed at least another 80 stat points in Strength to cover all his deficiencies, and it seemed like he would need quite a bit of time for that. The last time he checked, it took him about a month of Yunatea Time to gain just 8 levels. That was when he crafted the Invincible Paragon. As his level increased, the progress of leveling up slowed down significantly.
However, this pace was still rapid compared to most other players. In just around six months of Yunatea Time, he had climbed from level 25 to his current level, all without the tedious effort of hunting monsters. It was truly extraordinary!
"And to think," he mused aloud, "all this happened without me having to grind endlessly." Broken's presence that morning did not go unnoticed by the guards and knights stationed around the area. Some of them were scheduled to join the expedition with Princess Alora, while others were performing their regular duties.
"That's the armor Princess Alora wears too," one guard remarked.
"It's so beautiful and looks very sturdy."
"He's so lucky, a talented blacksmith and a fighter. Does someone like that really exist?"
"Yes. He's a player. Some of them have really extraordinary abilities."
"They can't die either. Damn, it must be so fun being like them."
As Broken waited, he spotted six knights approaching from a distance. He quickly recognized them as his own knights, the same ones who would be joining the expedition that day.
Igor and the others halted and lined up to salute. "My Lord, we are ready to join this expedition," Igor announced.
Broken nodded. "I'm glad to see you all here. Please, I want to hear about your progress."
Igor was the first to respond. "I trained to better utilize everyone's unique abilities and efficiency in teamwork, My Lord."
Karl then spoke up, his voice firm. "My Lord, I have been training harder with my sword."
Next was Yann. "I did more training with my bow, My Lord."
Damir followed, his tone calmer than the others. "My Lord, I've learned a lot about magic and I'm ready to take on this role in battle."
Broken nodded, satisfied with Damir's dedication to his new role. "That's good to hear, Damir."
Anna then spoke, her voice cheerfully louder than the rest. "My Lord, I'm having fun with my greatsword, and I'll gladly crush our enemies with it."
The other knights seemed a bit nervous at Anna's enthusiastic demeanor in front of their Lord. Igor felt the need to teach her more about composure.
"Good, Anna. I like your spirit. I want to see you more on the battlefield with your greatsword. Let's crush our enemies hard later."
"Yes, My Lord."
The other knights seemed visibly relieved as Broken responded positively to Anna's overly cheerful attitude.
Finally, Ingrid spoke. "My Lord, I've been training with dual swords, and I've adapted quite well. I will do my best in my role."
He then concluded, "All right, I'm quite pleased with your progress. I want you to stay focused on your training, and I'll be providing more support to you soon."
"Yes, My Lord," they responded in unison.
Broken was quite pleased to hear the progress from his six knights. He also noticed their levels had increased, indicating significant development over the recent period. Their levels had risen by about 6 to 12 levels. Anna's level had increased the most, followed closely by Inggrid.
It seemed that those who adapted to new types of weapons advanced more rapidly. Perhaps this was because they had started engaging in combat styles that better matched their individual skills and talents.
Afterward, Broken and the others waited as the knights who would join the expedition began to gather and prepare. Eventually, Princess Alora appeared in the distance, accompanied by Knight Lionel and Mercy.
Alora approached them wearing her Invincible Paragon armor, a striking red that perfectly complemented her braided red hair flowing down her back. She looked every bit the part, perfectly suited to the armor. She exuded elegance as a princess yet appeared incredibly formidable as a knight. She walked with confidence in her armor, resembling a battle commander more than a crowned princess.
As Alora walked closer, Broken stepped forward and saluted. "Good morning, Princess Alora. I'm here and ready to join you in this expedition," he said.
Alora smiled at him. "The royal carriage has been prepared. You will ride with me because I want to discuss something with you."
Broken was momentarily taken aback by her request but quickly regained his composure. "It would be my pleasure, Princess," he replied.
Alora then walked toward the royal carriage. The carriage was a pristine white adorned with golden decorations, featuring glass windows on both sides, each with curtains inside. The carriage was spacious enough to comfortably seat around four people, though it currently had just a pair of plush seats on one side.
Lionel held the door open for her as the Princess gracefully stepped inside, followed by Broken, who took a seat next to her. Soon after, they set off, leaving the palace grounds
behind.
Two Knight Grand Crosses, Princess Alora's personal guards, joined them on the journey. Alongside them were Broken's team of six knights and another six knights from Princess
Alora's own contingent.
The knights spread out in front of and behind the princess's carriage, each riding their own
mount.
The carriage rolled through the city streets, capturing the attention of many onlookers. They waved enthusiastically, knowing that Princess Alora was inside. She opened the glass window and waved back at them. However, the presence of someone sitting in the carriage with her stirred even more curiosity.
Broken had intentionally put on his helmet after confirming it was okay with her beforehand.
In Immortal Legacy, when someone masked their face, they could hide their name. Therefore, the onlookers had no information about Broken.
"What the hell! Who is that person with Princess Alora?" Some players exclaimed.
"Damn, he's so lucky."
"They're wearing matching armor sets? Why am I so jealous?"
"It must be a player! NPCs rarely hide their personal information."
"Ugh, it's frustrating just watching this from afar."
Local residents were also intrigued. It was the first time seeing Princess Alora with someone
whose identity they didn't recognize. It was clearly not a knight, since her personal knights,
Lionel and Mercy, were outside.
"Who's that with Her Highness in the carriage?"
"I was wondering that too, but don't they wear similar armor?"
"Could it be the prince from the neighboring kingdom she's betrothed to?"
"Could it be that marrying off Princess Alora is a way to push her off the throne?" another
speculated.
Although Broken couldn't hear exactly what the people outside were saying, he clearly
noticed how their eager eyes, which were initially focused on Princess Alora's entourage,
were now all looking at him.
This only strengthened his resolve to keep his identity hidden. He couldn't help but wonder, what was Princess Alora's true purpose in doing this?
