Chapter 199: Chapter 199 - A Quest for the Perfect Plate

Princess Alora emerged gracefully from her chamber, and her maid, Grace, approached. "Your Highness," she greeted with a respectful bow.

"Have you heard any news about Baron Broken?" Princess Alora inquired.

Grace bowed again in response. "Baron Broken hasn't returned yet. But the guards said he was last seen logging out in the garden near the castle's rear exit."

"Thank you, Grace," Alora replied with a gentle smile. "I'll head there now."

Alora made her way to the garden, deciding to walk alone and enjoy the fresh morning air. Her outfit was simpler for the day, a flowing gown that contrasted with the battle armor she often wore. The garden was serene, bathed in soft sunlight, providing the perfect backdrop for a moment of tranquility.

She slowly approached the iron chair positioned in the center of the garden. She intended to sit there for a while, anticipating Baron Broken's imminent arrival. As she settled into the chair, a peculiar sensation caught her off guard. The seat felt slightly uncomfortable, as if something was beneath her, not just the iron surface.

"What is this?" she murmured to herself, shifting slightly. "Why does the chair feel so odd?" "Princess... Sorry," a male voice spoke from behind her. Startled, Alora quickly stood up, finding herself having been seated on Broken's lap, who had logged in unexpectedly.

"Sorry," he repeated, his voice tinged with an awkward apology.

"Broken... What are you doing here?" she asked, trying to regain her composure.

"I just logged in and suddenly found you sitting on my lap," he said awkwardly.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"That's a strange coincidence, huh," she replied with a chuckle.

Immediately, guards rushed towards them, spears at the ready, aiming at the Baron. Alora swiftly intervened, raising her hand to restrain them.

"No, wait... don't worry. This is Baron Broken. He has done nothing wrong!"

The guards exchanged confused glances, but trusting their princess, they lowered their weapons and stepped back.

Still flustered, Princess Alora turned to Broken. "It's alright. Let's talk here for a while," she said, her voice softer now.

Broken bowed respectfully. "Good morning, Princess Alora," he greeted her.

Alora smiled warmly at him. "Good morning. Why is it that you always seem to show up at the most inconvenient times?"

Broken smiled awkwardly. "At least this time, I don't have to worry about being attacked for something I didn't do on purpose."

Alora chuckled softly. "So, are you still holding a grudge against Elincia? Have you two made peace since that incident?"

Broken's smile widened as he bowed slightly. "Yes, everything has improved since then."

"I have something for you," Alora said, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Yes, Princess?" Broken replied.

"Wait," she said, turning her gaze to a small table and chairs set up in the middle of the garden. "Let's talk over there."

The two of them moved to the designated area and took their seats. Shortly after, a group of servants appeared, carrying trays of refreshments, tea, and a wooden box. Princess Alora graciously accepted the items and turned to Broken.

"Here," she said, handing him the wooden box.

"This chest contains a set of heavy armor blueprints for melee fighters. I thought you might be interested in it. I've provided all the necessary materials so you can craft two sets of this armor. If you have the time, I'd be grateful if you could make them. You may keep one of the sets, and I'll compensate you for the other."

Broken nodded in response to the Princess's request. He opened the box, revealing five blueprints along with the essential materials, notably the Monster Core needed to craft the armor. Carefully, he examined the contents, admiring the intricate designs and the high- quality materials provided.

"This is quite remarkable, Princess," Broken said. "I'll start working on these as soon as I can. Thank you for this opportunity."

[Invincible Paragon Armor (Pants) Blueprint]

[Invincible Paragon Shoes Blueprint]

"Invincible Paragon?" Broken murmured softly as he examined the blueprints handed to him by Princess Alora.

He knew that acquiring high-level equipment was always a challenging endeavor, especially when it came to unique gear sets. Moreover, there were special bonuses that came with equipping an entire set. What he held now were blueprints for a set of armor with a maximum grade of Unique. Additionally, the box also contained the Monster Cores needed to craft two complete sets of armor.

Just from the design and structure, the armor looked incredibly impressive. Broken's curiosity was piqued as he imagined the final product. This set of blueprints matched perfectly with his desire to craft high-level armor for himself.

Princess Alora's voice broke through his thoughts, "This armor is designed to be most effective for someone with an affinity for earth elements. If you'd like, I can provide you with another set tailored towards the water element, which would complement your water- element spear. But even without an earth affinity, the value of this armor remains exceptionally high. What do you think?"

Broken shook his head, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. It just so happened that he had a high affinity with both water and earth elements, which meant he could use the set of equipment without any issues. But if he crafted two sets of armor, wouldn't he and Princess Alora end up wearing matching sets? The mere thought of it was thrilling.

"No, Your Highness, it's okay for me. Allow me to work on this set. I have an affinity with the earth element, too, so this is perfectly suitable for me," he said confidently. Princess Alora gave him a warm smile and nodded. "Do let me know if there's anything I can do to help. The Royal Blacksmith Workshop will always be at your disposal, and we'll provide any additional materials you need for the armor crafting," she assured him.

Broken returned her nod, closing the wooden box with care. "Your Highness, I would require someone to store these items before I come back tomorrow to work on them," he explained, noting that his inventory was reaching its maximum capacity and couldn't hold any more

items.

"Yes, of course," she agreed. "Lionell will take care of these for you until you return

tomorrow."

There was an invitation for a small party with the members of the Ass Guild, so Broken wouldn't be able to start his work immediately, even though he was eager to get started. He had to hold off for now.

"Princess, I'll return tomorrow to work on this," he promised. "I'll complete two sets at once

until they're finished."

Alora smiled and nodded. "I'm very pleased to hear that and can't wait to see the final results. But please, don't stress too much about the final grade of your creation. Whatever the outcome, I'll be happy with the new sets."

With her permission to leave, Broken thanked her for her kindness and mentioned that he had been invited by some members of the Ass Guild to a tavern near their inn for a small party. He headed straight to the tavern where the others were waiting. Booba, Freya, and Ivana were there as well. As soon as he opened the wooden door, everyone ran joyfully toward him. "Congratulations, Broken!" they shouted, laughing in celebration.
