Chapter 197: Chapter 197 - Ocean Views and Outfits

The Northstar Turbo 2 eased to a halt at the park where Freya was waiting. She hurried over and yanked open the car door, surprised to see Lily already settled in the back seat.

"Freya, hop in the front with Leon," Lily said firmly, flashing a grin.

"Oh, okay," Freya replied, then moved to the front seat. She couldn't help but grin when she saw Leon's beaming face.

"What's with the goofy look, huh?" Freya teased.

"No, nothing. My face is just normal," Leon tried to play it cool.

"No, you definitely look weird with that big smile," Freya said, laughing.

Freya traced her fingers over the dashboard and steering wheel, marveling at the car's sleek design. "This car is stunning... They did mention the price was higher than our agreement." "Any concerns from them?" Leon asked, casting a quick look her way.

"Nope, none at all! It's officially yours now," Freya replied with a cheerful smile.

The car slowly pulled away from the park. They were headed to a unique café near the beach, planning to have lunch and enjoy the seaside air.

"Did you know you can connect your Immortal Legacy account with this car, Leon?" Freya started the chat again.

Leon nodded slowly. "They told me about it, but I haven't set it up. How do you do it?"

"You just need to link your Immortal Card to the car..." Freya said, then suddenly reached behind Leon.

"Freya, what are you doing?"

"Shut up," Freya giggled as she fished Leon's wallet out of his pocket. She opened it and retrieved his Immortal Card.

"You really respect my privacy, huh? Ms. Assistant," Leon remarked sarcastically.

Freya pressed the Immortal Card on the screen panel. "Place your finger here!"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Leon followed her instructions. A screen lit up, showing the Immortal Legacy panel interface.

"Its limited features allow you to send and receive messages even if you've hit your online limit. It's really convenient," Freya explained.

Leon nodded, acknowledging the point. "Yeah, it's interesting." But he couldn't help but wonder why Immortal Legacy would grant such access. "Why with Northstar, Freya? Why do they have this capability?"

Freya leaned back in her seat. "Northstar holds a small share in Golden Age Company. Besides making EVs, they also manufacture Capsule Devices, the luxury ones, actually."

"Ah yes, I remember that now," Leon agreed.

Their journey was filled with light-hearted chatter and laughter as they drove toward the seaside. Their destination was a charming café painted in pristine white, with an open design that offered a direct view of the tranquil beach. The sunlight danced on the blue Northstar Turbo, making it shine brilliantly and attracting the admiring eyes of passersby, whose gazes lingered as the car glided into the parking area.

"What a stunning car," one onlooker remarked, unable to look away.

"I agree. That's the newest model from Northstar, the Turbo series."

"I bet the owner is quite wealthy," a third commented.

Leon and the others stepped out of the car. As usual, Freya waited patiently for Leon to open her door, stepping out with a bright laugh once he did. Leon then turned to open the door for Lily, who emerged from the vehicle giggling.

"Thanks, Leon," she said.

"That's how a lady should be treated, Lily. Do you understand?" Freya quipped with a chuckle as they made their way into the café.

The trio continued to draw attention, even after leaving the glistening car behind. Conversations buzzed around them, fueled by envy and admiration.

"What a lucky guy. He's wealthy and gets to be in the company of such a beautiful woman," a man muttered, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I envy him so much."

"But who's the younger girl? She is cute."

"She looks like him. I think they might be siblings."

"I think so, too."

Most of the onlookers sighed longingly. "I wish I could be in his shoes... driving that amazing car and being surrounded by stunning women."

"Wake up from your daydream," another shot back.

Leon and the others chose the reserved seating, which was on the second floor, an open space directly overlooking the serene beach. It was a quiet time, as autumn had arrived, and the beach wasn't as crowded as it would be during the summer.

Soon, a waiter approached their table to take their orders. Freya, with a playful glint in her eye, smiled at Leon. "You're treating us today, right, Leon?"

"Yes," Leon replied confidently. "Order whatever you want. I've got enough money for it," he added with a chuckle.

Lily's eyes sparkled with excitement as she scanned the menu, filled with items far beyond their usual budget. "These prices are incredible... I still sometimes feel guilty eating such expensive food."

Freya leaned in and reassured her. "You know how much money Leon's made from the game, right, Lily? Enjoying a meal here won't even make a dent in his finances."

With a giggle, Lily submitted their order, and they settled in to enjoy their food and drinks. The gentle autumn breeze mixed with the warmth of the sun created a perfect midday ambiance. The sun's rays felt sharper against their skin, a pleasant contrast to the cooler air. "We should be playing on the beach, not just sitting here," Freya murmured after a while. Lily's face lit up with enthusiasm. "That's a great idea, Freya!" She paused, glancing down at her attire. "But I think I chose the wrong outfit for beach play."

Freya waved away her concerns, standing up and grabbing Lily's wrist. "No worries, Lily. There's a clothing store nearby. It would be a shame not to make the most of this moment and enjoy the beach!"

Turning to Leon, who seemed contentedly absorbed in the moment, she said, "Meet us by the beach later. I'll send you a message when we're ready." Without waiting for a reply, she dragged Lily toward the store.

Leon squinted slightly as he watched the two of them leave. "The air isn't too cold today," he muttered quietly to himself.

Leon spent some time enjoying his solitude, sipping the last of his drink. He breathed a sigh of relief, though he could feel the occasional gaze from onlookers. To distract himself, he turned his eyes towards the beach, watching the waves crash against the shore.

After a while of observing the sea, he decided it was time to pay for their meal and head down to the beach. Standing by the shoreline, he let the sea breeze wash over him, feeling the familiar embrace of nature.

He often visited the beaches in Deadbay City within the game. Although the virtual beaches were a marvelous blend of unique elements, the real world had its own irreplaceable charm.

Leon glanced at his phone and noticed a message from Freya. Moments later, both girls walked up to him, dressed in fresh beach outfits. Freya sported a layered bikini topped with a kimono-style dress. Lily's look was similar but featured a modest bikini paired with a mini

skirt and layered dress.

As they reached him, Freya tossed a shopping bag his way. "Go, change your outfit," she

commanded.

Leon paused for a moment, taking in their appearance. "You..."

"What?" Freya responded sharply.

"You look stunning in that outfit, Freya."

Caught off guard by the compliment, Freya quickly retorted, "Shut it, pervert... Do you think I

like hearing that from you?"

"Don't women enjoy being complimented?" Leon countered with a grin.

"Yes, genuine compliments, not teasing remarks like yours."

Lily burst into laughter, clearly amused by their playful banter.
