Chapter 146: Chapter 146 - The Decision to Recruit Broken

Elincia gave everyone present the opportunity to voice their opinions.

"Let's hear what everyone has to say about this matter," she urged. "We will need Broken's help to carry out the big quest in the near future."

"This mission will determine our standing within the Kingdom of Dissidia," she continued. "We have the potential to achieve a highly esteemed place, perhaps even gain a city of our own, or achieve a lofty rank in the kingdom. All of this can be accomplished if we help Princess Alora ascend to the throne of the Dissidia Kingdom."

Goldrich was the first to raise his hand and speak. "I'm sure that Broken is not someone to be taken lightly," he emphasized. "He has immense potential, but I think it's important for us to listen to his thoughts and feelings before imposing our own will on him. Because, honestly, I'm not even sure he will gladly accept if we offer him to join us," he said with a thin smile.

Skywarden scoffed. "Only a fool would refuse to join us."

Maylock nodded in agreement. "I concur; he has great potential and would bring significant benefits to this guild."

He elaborated, "One thing is certain-he's a talented blacksmith. Beyond that, he has a unique class that allows him to use a Sword and Bow simultaneously and perhaps even more weapon categories. He might even excel at magic. So, yes, we need to have a conversation with him first."

Melliandra raised her hand. "I don't really care as long as we can become the best guild in Immortal Legacy."

Skywarden, still skeptical, said, "But I need to see his capabilities first. So far, I haven't seen anything significant from him. In my eyes, he is still as useless as trash."

Jovina interjected, "I agree with the idea of recruiting him as our ally, whether inside or outside the guild. We should do whatever it takes to bring him to our side. I have a strong feeling that he will be something special in the future-and you can take my word for it. My gut feelings have never been wrong, hahaha."

The elemental mage Starfall chimed in. "I believe Goldrich's and Maylock's suggestions should be taken into serious consideration. Therefore, I agree that we should give Broken the opportunity to explain himself to us."

The alchemist Toberry chimed in, "I think it would be really interesting to have another Production class in the guild, so I'm all for giving him a chance."

The assassin Charmelyn added her perspective, "He's really kind, and I think he'd fit in well here."

One by one, the other guild members voiced their thoughts. Some were unsure, but a sense of excitement about this new venture permeated the room.

However, one thing was notably clear: Broken was entirely absorbed in his project and seemed oblivious to the discussions and debates swirling in that room.

A few days later, Elincia made her way towards the blacksmith workshop, feeling a bit strangen/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

at the unusually bustling sight. Just as she approached, she noticed Freya heading in the same direction.

"Hi, Elincia," Freya said, running up to her.

"Broken is inside, right?"

Freya nodded. "Yes, but it looks like you won't be able to talk to him for a while. I think it might be a few days before he's available."

"Really? Is there an important project he's working on? Is he really that tied up?"

"You should see for yourself how he works and draw your own conclusions," Freya suggested.

Curiosity piqued, Elincia made her way into the workshop. Inside, she observed numerous blacksmiths clustered around Broken. A special NPC woman stood among them, creating a barrier that shielded him from others.

Elincia queried, "Is she the special NPC Goldrich spoke of?"

Freya grinned and answered affirmatively, "Yes, she is."

"He has a friend as formidable as her? Why didn't he invite her to the raid battle?"

She added, "If he spends too much time in the workshop, he might fall behind the others in level, right? That wouldn't be good for him."

Freya shook her head. "Production classes can increase their levels by crafting items. So, he should benefit from having both production and combat classes."

"I see..."

Elincia cast her eyes over Ivana, a female NPC whose the armor highlighted her beauty, particularly her striking blonde hair.

She turned to Freya and asked, a playful glint in her eye, "Broken has an amazing magnetism around the ladies. Could he be the Champion of Lust?"

"I think that's possible," Freya replied with a chuckle. "He certainly seems to have a knack for being a bit too flirtatious around beautiful women."

"Is there anything that these beautiful ladies like about him?" Elincia asked with a chuckle. "Even Princess Alora..." she trailed off, leaving her sentence unfinished.

"Freya," Elincia added, "convey my greetings to him and let him know that I would like to talk to him once he is done with his work. Goodbye."

Elincia gave one last thoughtful glance toward the workshop before turning to leave.

A few days later, Goldrich approached the blacksmith workshop, filled with curiosity about the activity going on inside. As he stepped in, he was greeted by the buzz of enthusiastic conversations. Unlike before, the blacksmiths were no longer clustered around Broken.

Goldrich walked slowly towards Ivana, who looked up and gave him a slight bow. "Are you a friend of Broken?" she inquired.

Goldrich's lips curled into a smile as he glanced over at Broken, who was intently focused on his task. "You could say that," he replied.

"He is certainly a very committed individual," Goldrich whispered.

Ivana smiled in agreement. "He's been that way ever since I met him. He is truly devoted to his work."

Goldrich scanned the bustling workshop, concluding that the environment was not ideal for Broken to work in. "I think we need to find someplace more secluded for him to work," he

suggested.

With a plan forming in his mind, Goldrich took off, determined to locate a more tranquil spot where Broken could hone his craft without any interruptions from the crowd.

After laboring tirelessly for more than a week, Broken was on the brink of completing his newest weapon. His hands worked feverishly, hammering away at the steel with every ounce of his strength. Ivana and Freya stood beside him, their eyes wide with anticipation as they watched the fierce determination in his every movement.

Dozens of blacksmiths surrounded Broken, and their gazes fixated on the process. The knuckles he was crafting had taken on a dominant green hue, illuminated by a dark glow that cast an unearthly aura around the room. The moonlight seemed to sparkle over the knuckles' surface, creating vine-like shadows on the walls. Every edge was meticulously honed, and the two knuckles were flawlessly symmetrical.

Though the knuckles were nearly complete, their beauty was already evident. But this wasn't enough for Broken-he sought to elevate them to the next level. He grasped his hammer with steady hands and began to strike the knuckles with renewed vigor. Each hit reverberated through the workshop, filling it with a deafening sound that echoed against every wall. It was as though he was imbuing the knuckles with a part of his very soul with each strike. Everyone watching seemed to hold their breath, swallowing hard as they witnessed his relentless dedication. They were prepared to wait until the late hours of the night if necessary, eager to see the final result of Broken's masterful crafting.
