Chapter 2: Transmigrated!
Chapter 2: Transmigrated!
Later that evening, as she watched Elene De Luna kiss the second male lead goodbye, the door finally made some movement.
Keeping in-character, she puts down the phone and silently watched the newcomers come in.
"Clara! Come help me do my homework~" A whiny girl with a small voice yelled, playful.
It was a chubby girl with curly hair and sideburns. Today her hair was tied up in a glittered ponytail.
Responding to the girl's plea, a soft giggle was heard.
"Laura, slow down!" The voice was calm and smooth. The owner was a very pretty girl with shoulder length hair and bangs. She had a gentle maternal smile as she looked at her chubby friend.
"Geez Laura..." Another voice sounded, this time it came from a curvaceous woman with long wavy hair. She also had a small voice, but much meeker than Clara. "If you keep relying on Clara, it wouldn't be good for you."
Laura smiled but rolled her eyes. "Yes, mother Mira~" The chubby girl said, playfully putting out her tongue.
"You!" Mira exclaimed in a louder-than-usual-but-still-demure way, punching the girl's face.
Clara shook her head and laughed at her friends' antics.
The three girls went to the conjoined study table with their books.
Laura continuously tried to sweet talk her way for the answers but the two girls seem already used to it and could prevaricate her.
They were quite cute and innocent together but Khalifa couldn't help but think of how familiar sounding their names were.
Khalifa mused over the names as she put on back her non-prescription reflective glasses, hiding her ebony irises with a tinge of the familiar golden green.
What familiar names, she thought.
Clara, Laura, Mira... what rhyming names for roommates.
What were the chances?
Not much.
She only encountered it once—
Then, it hit her.
Clara, Laura, Mira…!
Characters in a book!
It hit the descriptions perfectly!
Especially Clara, who happened to be its heroine!
Khalifa gulped as she looked at her new roommates with an interested expression.
Coincidence? Probably not!
Chances were… she was transmigrated to a Book 'Love Triangle in the Apocalypse!'

Clara Sinclair, eighteen years old, was a well-loved girl since she was a child. She was described to be beautiful inside-out and was quite capable in all her endeavors.
She won pageants and math olympiads alike. The perfect girl seeming to be blessed by the gods.
Currently, she was the school belle and incredibly popular. She was the representative of the batch in the opening ceremonies, so she was only in her first year but she was already well-known throughout the school.
When the story started, she was already dating her childhood sweetheart Chris Fontaire.
Recalling some details from the story, she knew that the apocalypse would happen and this would be where the heroine's adventure began.
She was separated from her boyfriend and in her travels met Ryo Mogi, a handsome soldier, and his team of elite guards.
Certain events lead to their good impressions towards each other and thus forming a love triangle… in the apocalypse.
And where was she, Khalifa Fei?
She should be there—
She mulled over the story and couldn't think of a mention of any Khalifa. She would remember if there was.
Then, she realized what her role was in the book, and her eyes twitched almost immediately.
She was mentioned once in the book as 'the nerdy roommate who gets eaten because Mira pushes her by 'accident.'
In the plot, it served as foreshadowing to Mira's sketchy character, who later finally showed her true colors halfway through the story.
It was revealed that Mira had always hated and was jealous of Claire because she had secret feelings for Chris. This had gone since their middle school days.
She had been emulating Claire's demure-but-strong temperament to attract his attention. To no avail, of course.
At this point, the unnamed roommate had long been forgotten.
Instead of annoyed though, Khalifa... felt excited instead!
She had loved this book! She enjoyed reading it!!
First she was attracted by the element the heroine wielded: Water.
Although the techniques shown in the books were all basic spells young mages learned, she still liked to watch them.
It was also amusing to watch her vacillate between the two men, even though it could get a bit frustrating.
Anyway, it seemed to have a happy ending for the three of them.
And now she can watch it all from the front seat? She can watch it with her own eyes!
This is the best movie ever!
